What is Dreamcatcher?:
It is a program that changes everything that we knew about running a dream.
It may turn your uploader into a powerful tool, but calling it a bot would not do it justice! It's a personal assistant that covers every aspect of dream management; inspiring our imagination and keeping us dreaming about the things that we can create with it!

What Does It Do?:

Makes it easy for dream owners of any experience level to create rich dream environments; all without having to know a single line of code.
Runs even if you are not signed in, or running the program from your computer.
Allows you to seamlessly share a database with other dreams in your continuity.
Gives you access to features not previously possible on Furcadia.
Makes dream management easy and fun, letting you manage staff, members, and beyond.
Allows you to connect with your dream and community like never before.
Significantly lowers the amount of Dragonspeak or Phoenixspeak you need, all while giving you more features than ever before.
Jumps outside the box and brings dreams into the next generation.
Features

Economy System
As most people who have constructed in-dream economy systems (or have tried to) know, it's not easy! The codes are long, complicated, and ultimately limited. Plus, Dragonspeak alone does not typically harness percentages and decimals, which limits your economy system from reaching it's full potential. Luckily, we like thinking outside the box! The best part? It's included as a standard feature!

It lets you:

Use a traditional money system (i,e, 3 copper, 8 silver, 7 gold, 12 platinum), or a more modern approach (i.e. $100.24) to suit the dream's atmosphere.
Optional built in class system (poor, middle, noble, etc).
Trade cookies to cookie bank for in-dream currency.
Earn currency for every minute spent active in dream.
Transfer money to other members, or spend on goods or services.
More features will be added in the future, but this basic system is sure to make day to day roleplay more immersive and exciting!

Help Center
Finally there is a way to avoid a game of whisper tag when members need assistance. For silver subscribers and above, members will be able to whisper your bot for help without the hassle of finding out who is on duty. The bot will send their message directly to the client, where your staff members can manage them efficiently. Help requests will remain in the queue until someone can address them, making this a valuable tool that will take the guess work out of what your members need from you.
Help Queue Features:

Tells you how long someone has been in the queue
Tells you how many requests that person has active
Shows you the message sent
Blinks on the control panel, when there are unanswered requests
Makes a sound when new requests come in (can be toggled off)
Allows you to resolve or escalate requests
Allows you to categorize requests
Archives resolved requests in case they need review
Keeps track of who resolves or escalates requests
Sends a dialogue box prompt to the user who needed help, letting them know they have been added to the queue.
Sends a dialogue box prompt to let the user know when their request is claimed, and who will be whispering them to help.
Keeps a log in the help center for each day, to catch other staff up if they are just logging in.
Search Tool
Dreamcatcher makes member management look easy! It will automatically create information for you when a new person enters your dream and can even keep track of who has dream group tags. Your bot can harness a wealth of information and it knows how much in-dream currency a person has, how much time they spend in your dream, and everything in between!

Basic Search
Boasting an easy to use interface, it becomes easier than ever to edit stats, keep notes, and stay organized. The information you need is always just a click away. Did you think that was nifty? Well, we aren't done-

Advanced Search Tool
Silver subscribers and above can use this tool to keep track of warnings, ejections and bans. It ensures that your staff members will always be on the same page, even if they have been gone awhile. Stay organized with disciplinary reports. (We promise it will save time and headache later, should it come down to deciding when a troublemaker needs to be shown to the door!)

Statistics
We've taken the mystery out of your dream stats. At a glance, you can know how many people are in your dream, how many of those people are staff, uptime/downtime for your bot, and more. You can even view more advanced stats with a single click that can enlighten you further! It will tell you what hours people are most active in your dream, and track your population over the month; letting you know what days are the busiest!

Staff Chat
Gone are the days where you have to use emits or frustrating codes to keep communication lines open with your staff. Whether it's a fun chat about your day, or a serious meeting, private communication is crucial to any well oiled machine.

Global Blacklist
We've all seen it before; someone who just can't seem to follow the rules and loves to stir the pot. These people can cause chaos in an otherwise peaceful and fun dream; bringing down moods and making life a little more difficult for the staff. Thankfully, we've brewed up a solution to every brand of troublemaker! When our database detects that someone has been banned at least five times in Dreamcatcher powered dreams, it will put their names anonymously into a magical purgatory called "The Blacklist". This is an opt-in option located in your bot settings, and it is not required that you use it. If you do opt in, your bot will auto ban blacklisters and keep your dream as peaceful as possible.

Staff Manager
In the past, some have chosen to add each new staff member by hand in their Dragonspeak, or to set up more advance systems using Phoenix Speak. These methods are impressive, but often unreliable or bulky in Dragonspeak files. Our goal is to give dream owners the chance to spend more time on what matters and less time trying to keep their staff list updated.

Add Staff With Ease
Hire someone new? Don't stress; after you've dine tuned the ranks & permissions, it's easy to add new staff!
Just type their Furcadia name into the text field, select what rank you'd like to give them, and assign them a customized role. Click to confirm, and they are ready to go! Need to remove someone? You can do so with the advanced search, or by editing their information in the staff roster.

Ranks & Permissions
With this widget, you can set custom ranks for your dream staff; essentially allowing you to add staff to your dream without compromising on how much control you want people to have. As a dream owner, you may want specific ranks to be allowed to eject, emit, or ban people; or maybe you wish to make certain areas in your dream not accessible below a certain rank. This is where this tool really shines! It allows you to create your own ranks and assign permissions for each one. You can even fine tune what they can see or do while logged in to your dream on the client. It's that easy!

Roles
In most cases, staff members have a role they assume in the "In Character" world, that may differ from their out of character rank. This is where roles come in handy! While you only have a set amount of available ranks, there is no limit to the amount of roles you can assign. This means that you can set someone's job in dream, without affecting the permissions attached to their rank.

Roster
Finally a staff roster that does more than just showing you the person's name! This sortable list allows you to browse your staff by name, rank/role, or online status. Their role is listed to the right of their name, and their rank is easy to gage based on the text color the role is displayed in. From this menu, you can promote a staff member to a higher rank (or demote/remove them if necessary) and even change their rank/role.

Roleplay Finder
Let your members find new ways to interact with one another!
Inspired by the amazing system that was being used in the dream "New Versailles", we put our heads together with it's lovely owner and found a way to streamline a brilliant idea into an easy to use system. Similar to the help center, the roleplay finder tool will send notifications to the client. This gives staff the option to quickly approve open roleplay emits, and even allows the participants to be tagged, in case the owner wants to use that information for rewards. If no one is there to approve the emit request, it will still emit the open roleplay and it's host, but it will exclude the person's custom emit request; so even if no staff is around, the fun times go on!

Dream Accolades
Do you want to reward all your minion- I mean members for their dedication and activity? Of course you do! That is why dream accolades are so cool! Let's admire the crème de la crop, and see who's who! Want to know who has the most money? Who spent the most time active in the dream this month? Who roleplayed the most? These are the people who's dedication is unrivaled! Give em a pat on the back- they've earned it.

Quick Prize
So, if you like hosting events, or just rewarding people for being awesome, have we got the tool for you! Want to give a door prize for the people in your dream, but don't feel like taking 20 minutes counting down to where their name falls on the who list? We feel you. Good thing quick prize lets you choose how you want to do it. Draw from a list of people who have accolades, who are in the dream, or just create a custom list. You can even remove staff from the lot if you need to. Each time you click to draw, it will give you a new name until you are out of prizes. The best part? It announces the winners for you!

Beta Access
Why should I opt in for beta access?
Our team is already working on new ways to improve an already progressive system. Giving you more ways to customize your Dreamcatcher experience is our main goal! We've already developed these features and are now working on a practical way for users to use them.

There are some things that were just impractical to include in the first release of Dreamcatcher. Any feature needs testing, ironing out, and a good polish before we smack it's bottom and send it out into the world. That is where our beta testers come in!

Below, we've listed a few things that might be available in the near future. Beta testers would get their hands on first access to any new features, which will also help us squash any bugs hiding around.

What can we look forward to in the future?
Custom Dragonspeak Options
This will be a special set of code that can be used to communicate with the bot on a whole new level, in a format that you are accustomed to using! These can be used to customize a variety of features, but for the sake of example, we will look at the ways this could affect the economy feature.

Customized Economy:

Dream Vault
Just like in the real world, your dream vault becomes your dream's bank account. With options that let you make it as realistic as you want, it can even be used as a plot device. Will your business do well, or will you run out of money? (it's ok, even if you do, you can fudge those books a bit!)

"Direct Deposit"
You can set up customized payments to go out automatically to the people who hold job roles in your dream. Payments will come out of the dream vault, and will contribute to your economy.

Room/Home Rentals
You can use this to charge "rent" or fees that automatically reset on your chosen time frame. That money will go directly to your dream vault and contribute to your economy.

Virtual Shops
Create menus or let people set up shop! This option will give people a whole new way to make and spend money.

Roleplay Incentives
Let people be the masters of their own financial successes or failures! You can apply a little incentive to get people out there in the dream world to roleplay with one another. Dice-roll style multiplier bonuses can turn a normal interaction into a jackpot payday; all they have to do is participate. This evens the field for those who can not be around as often, or who have schedules where they don't get as much interaction with others as some may.

What else is Dreamcatcher capable of?
We've come up with some pretty awesome things in the time we've spent on this project so far. Here is a glimpse of what the program is already capable of doing, but may not be released to the public (at least not any time soon!)

Website Communication
Our bot communicates with a website, and lets us do even more than we thought possible. These features can only thus far be found or seen in the Furcadia dream "The Carmine Bordello".

Tracks player position and movement in real time on a non-isometric map, with the exception of private rooms or hidden areas.

Staff List on website is updated automatically on the website when an entry is altered or a new one is added.

Allows people to send money, pay for goods, and other interactive features from the website, while it happens live in dream.

Live Weather
Unlike weather systems of the past, we've made it possible to pick a real world location, and have your dream's weather change as naturally as it would in the real world. No more testy timers for us; we go big or not at all.
The system can accurately track precipitation, temperature, and what time the sun will rise and set.

Pathfinding & Artificial Intelligence
Well, sort of! We are looking into ways to make NPCs able to interact with people in dream. Combined with pathfinding, which allows an NPC to move around without bumping into people or walls, we may be able to have an NPC bartend, inn-keep, be a roaming peddler, serenade people as a bard, or whatever else your imagination could think up.
