  1. You are Anon. Student of Beacon and yadda yadda yadda.
  2.
  3. You've somehow managed to get yourself into yet another situation. You were in charge of being a guide for a new group of exchange students. Key word being WERE.
  4.
  5. You waited in front of the statue in the center of beacon, but after about an hour of waiting, the only person who showed up was a young ginger haired girl with freckles, wearing a beige dress, overalls, and black leggins with green highlights with matching collar.
  6.
  7. “Sal-u-tations!” She greeted you excitedly with a salute, “I am here for the tour of Beacon Academy. Is your name Anon?”
  8.
  9. “...Yes. It is,” You grumble, still tired after staying up late reading X-Ray and Vav comics, “Aren't there three more people from your team that are supposed to be here?”
  10.
  11. “Oh No sir,” she shakes her head, “They said they were going to go exploring and that they'd meet back up with me afterwords.”
  12.
  13. Silence passes between the two of you, and a small gust of wind blows in a tumbleweed from out of nowhere.
  14.
  15. “I'll just take your word for it,” you tell her, too tired to go and report the missing students to Ozpin, “Come on, I'll show you around Ms...?”
  16.
  17. “Oh, my apologies Mr. Anon, My name is Penny.”
  18.
  19. “You don't have to call me Mr. or Sir you know,” you get a little embarrassed by her formality, “You can just call me Anon.”
  20.
  21. You escort the young girl around, pointing out things of interest around the academy when you notice her starting to fidget with her fingers as you go.
  22.
  23. “Hey,” you start up, the grogginess having finally dissipated, “Are you...Okay?”
  24.
  25. “Oh,” she looks up, startled by the sudden question, “Yes, I'm sorry to have worried you. It's just that look rather...”
  26.
  27. Great, the exchange student is about to rag on your looks. This day is fantastic.
  28.
  29. “Handsome,” she smiles at you.
  30.
  31. ...Well that was blunt.
  32.
  33. “Ooookay.”
  34.
  35. You stand there, dumbstruck by her sudden compliment.
  36.
  37. “I'm sorry,” she says, looking away from you, “w-was that not appropriate behavior for the situation? My father always told me to be honest, so-”
  38.
  39. “N-no, it's fine,” you stop her before she can start rambling, “It was just a little...unexpected is all. I usually don't hear girls randomly say that to me. I'm certainly flattered though.”
  40.
  41. This causes her to perk back up, and you continue on with the tour.
  42.
  43. As you go, you realize you've stopped talking about Beacon and started talking about each other instead, when you feel your face smack right into a talking wall. It's name is Cardin.
  44.
  45. “Well well, what do we have here guys,” Cardin sticks his chest out, flanked on both sides by the rest of his team, “A couple of love birds out for a stroll?”
  46.
  47. “There are no birds in this vicinity,” Penny says as she looks around, “I am sorry, but it seems that you are mistaken.”
  48.
  49. Yet more silence.
  50.
  51. “Are you stupid or something girly?” Cardin says, all snarky and shit.
  52.
  53. “No, I'm combat ready,” Penny tells him proudly, putting her hands on her hips.
  54.
  55. “Figures you'd win her over Anon, you always were good with the 'special' ones,” He laughs and shoves you back, and his crew starts laughing too.
  56.
  57. “Hey,” you shove his hand away from you, “Don't talk about my friend like that.”
  58.
  59. “Or what,” He pokes you in the chest, “You gonna cry about it?”
  60.
  61. You balled up your fist and made a decision, which you had a feeling you'd regret later, and went to slam it right in his smug face. Only for him to catch it.
  62.
  63. Looks like that regret is coming sooner than you thought, as Cardin balls his own fist up and goes to hit you. You close your eyes and wait for it to come. But it never does.
  64.
  65. You feel Cardin release his grip on you and open your eyes, and you see him and the rest of his team backing away from a sword stuck in the ground, and you turn around to see more swords, apparently floating, around Penny.
  66.
  67. “W-where the hell did those come from,” Russel asks, continuing to back away.
  68.
  69. “I told you,” Penny glares at the group, “I'm combat ready.”
  70.
  71. “You're lucky your girlfriend was here to save you Anon,” Cardin says, a slight quiver in his voice, “She can't protect you forever though.”
  72.
  73. Team CRDL runs away, leaving Penny to help pick you up off the ground.
  74.
  75. “Are you okay Anon?”
  76.
  77. “I've been better, but thanks.”
  78.
  79. When she reached her hand out to you however, you notice something you hadn't before. There is some skin missing off the palm of her hands, and it looked like there was metal underneath it. Penny notices you staring at it, and quickly balls up her hands and holds them to her chest.
  80.
  81. “Penny,” you stand back up, “what happened to your hands? And where did those swords come from?”
  82.
  83. “Anon,” she turns around, away from you, “Did you mean what you said?”
  84.
  85. “What I said?”
  86.
  87. “Am I really your friend,” she asks, barely turning her head to face you.
  88.
  89. You pause and think for a moment. It seemed like kind of a heat of the moment thing when you said it, but looking at her, and thinking about how much fun the two of you were having just walking around and talking to each other, the answer was obvious.
  90.
  91. “Of course I meant it,” you tell her, putting a reassuring hand on her shoulder, “we're friends now.”
  92.
  93. She hesitates for a moment, then turns around and shows you her palms.
  94.
  95. “Anon, I'm,” she hangs her head down, like she can't bear to have eye contact with you, “I'm not a real girl. I'm the first synthetic person in the world, capable of generating an aura.”
  96.
  97. You stare it her. If anyone walked by, they would probably be able to hear your brain over heating. Penny seems to notice this.
  98.
  99. “I'm a robot, I'm not a real person.” she says bluntly.
  100.
  101. You try to say something reassuring to her. But all your mouthed seemed capable of forming was “Oh.”
  102.
  103. “There is only one other person who knows this about me,” she looks back up at you, “You have to promise to keep this a secret, Anon.”
  104.
  105. Her eyes looked pleading. Robot or not, she didn't seem any different from the other girls you knew. Quirks included.
  106.
  107. “Of course I promise,” you put your hand on her shoulder again, “that's what friends do after all.”
  108.
  109. She smiles at you and hugs you tightly. Very, very tightly.
  110.
  111. “Can't...breath....” you struggle to say, and she lets go of you.
  112.
  113. “Oops,” she lets go of you, “I'm sorry Anon.”
  114.
  115. You smile at her as you catch your breath.
  116.
  117. “Don't worry about it.”
  118.
  119. You hadn't noticed, but it was starting to sprinkle some, and you remembered the forecast called for rain today. Guess you were walking around longer than you thought.
  120.
  121. “Come on, I'll show you the dorm that the exchange students are staying in,” you motion for her to follow you.
  122.
  123. You make it to the dorms, but not before the downpour hit, so now you're both soaked. You lead her inside, and pull out the paper that Ms. Goodwitch gave you, dictating which rooms the visiting teams would be in, and take her to hers.
  124.
  125. “Looks like the rest of your team is going to be soaked, when they get in” you say, looking at the downpour through window in the room, “not that we're any better off.”
  126.
  127. You turn around and notice Penny has started taking off her leggins, and you get a nice view of her slender legs, all the way up to her...
  128.
  129. You blush a little bit and decide to leave.
  130.
  131. “Is something the matter Anon,” she notices you going for the door, “Your face has gotten rather red. Do you have a cold?”
  132.
  133. She puts her hand against your head, and you blush a little more.
  134.
  135. “N-no, it's nothing like that,” you turn away, “I just thought that maybe you would...like some privacy while you changed your clothes.”
  136.
  137. “You...don't have to go,” she tells you, “You're a nice person Anon, I trust you.”
  138.
  139. You nod, but decide to face the corner when she changes anyways.
  140.
  141. “Anon, can I ask you something,” she asks, after getting done changing clothes.
  142.
  143. “Sure, what is it?”
  144.
  145. “What is the difference between a friend and a girlfriend,” she asks you.
  146.
  147. “What do you mean,” you feel your face heat back up.
  148.
  149. “Earlier that boy called me your girlfriend. Is that what you're supposed to call a girl that is someones friend?”
  150.
  151. “Not exactly,” you tell her, “When you're someones girlfriend or boyfriend, your not “just” friends anymore, it means that...those two people really like each other, and want to be a couple.”
  152.
  153. “A couple of what Anon?”
  154.
  155. You honestly didn't think explaining a relationship would be this hard. Then again, explaining it to a robot was never really a problem before.
  156.
  157. “Just, a couple,” you try and find an easy way to word it, “two people who are in love, and want to be together. In a more...um....intimate way than regular friends would be.”
  158.
  159. “Oh...” she tilts her head down, and looks a little upset.
  160.
  161. “What's wrong?” you ask, afraid you might have accidentally said something to upset her.
  162.
  163. “Well it's just that,” she fidgets with her hands again, “I don't think I'll ever be someones girlfriend. Because I'm not a real girl.”
  164.
  165. You look at Penny, and see how upset she is by her conclusion.
  166.
  167. “Well...I think that you could be someone's girlfriend.”
  168.
  169. “You really think so,” she looks up at you, doubt still on her face.
  170.
  171. “Yeah, I do,” you tell her reassuringly, “It doesn't matter if you were born or built, what matters is that you're here, with me, right now. And that's all I need to know that you are a real girl. And to be honest, I think I'd be pretty lucky to be able to say someone as cute as you is my girlfriend.”
  172.
  173. The next thing you know, Penny throws her arms around you and smiles.
  174.
  175. “Would you really call me your girlfriend?” She asks, grinning ear to ear.
  176.
  177. You didn't really mean it like that, and now you don't know where this was about to go, but you couldn't say no to that face for some reason.
  178.
  179. “Penny,” you take her hands in yours and look in her eyes, “I would be happy to call you my girlfriend.”
  180.
  181. “Oh this is wonderful,” she says, pulling in against her metallic bosom, “Now what do we do?”
  182.
  183. “What do you mean,” you ask, your voice slightly muffled against her clothes.
  184.
  185. “Well you said that girlfriends are more intimate than regular friends, so what kind of things do they do?”
  186.
  187. Your face heats up a little, and you have to mentally bat away your perverted thoughts.
  188.
  189. “Well a lot of that stuff we should probably wait...a while, before trying,” you tell her, trying to side step the situation, “but...I guess we could try...kissing? If you want.”
  190.
  191. “Oh, you mean like this,” she gives you kiss on the cheek.
  192.
  193. You rub the spot on your cheek where she kissed you. Her lips feel human at least, you think to yourself.
  194.
  195. “Well, yeah,” you try to collect your thoughts, “they kiss like that too, but couples also kiss like this.”
  196.
  197. You put your hand on her cheek, and slowly lean in, and Penny mimics your movements and leans in. Soon your lips meet. Not long enough to be a make out session, but not short enough to be 'just a quick peck' either.
  198.
  199. “That was quite enjoyable,” Penny smiles at you, “Can we try that again soon?”
  200.
  201. “Well..Yeah,” you feel your face turning red again, “since we're a couple now, it's fine.”
  202.
  203. Penny holds her smile and lays her head on her chest. It's quite in the room. The only sound you hear is the rain hitting against the window.
  204.
  205. “So...do you know what cuddling is Penny?”
  206.
  207. “No Anon, what is it?”
  208.
  209. “It's kind of like a hug...except we're laying down. Here, like this.”
  210.
  211. You and Penny lay down on the bed, and you put her arm around you before putting yours around your waist. She smiles up at you.
  212.
  213. “This is...pleasant, Anon,” she puts her head to your chest, “If I am your girlfriend, does that mean I can call you my boyfriend?”
  214.
  215. “Of course you can. Whenever you like.”
  216.
  217. She seems satisfied with this answer and closes her eyes. Soon you do the same, and before you know it you've fallen asleep with your new girlfriend.
  218.
  219.
  220. ~One Hour Later~
  221.
  222. Later, you wake up to the sound of a foot tapping, and see Ms. Goodwitch standing above you, and the rest of Penny's team standing behind her. You decide it would be best to try to calmly and rationally explain the situation.
  223.
  224. “IT'S NOT WHAT IT YOU THINK!”
  225.
  226. Smooth.
  227.
  228. “Young man, you are supposed to be guiding the students along, not sleeping with them.”
  229.
  230. “I'm not sleeping with her! Well I mean...I am, but sleeping as in sleeping, not sleeping as in 'sleeping',” you try to argue.
  231.
  232. “You had best be off the guest dorm premises in 5 minutes Anon, or else,” she slaps her riding clop threatningly.
  233.
  234. With that, Glynda left the room, slamming the door behind her, leaving you in bed with a sleeping Penny, and her three team mates staring at you.
  235.
  236. “Guys, look, I know how this looks but-”
  237.
  238. You're cut off by the three of them laughing
  239.
  240. “Hey, it ain't our business 'stud'.”
  241.
  242. “Yeah, just make sure her dad and Ironwood don't find out or your so gonna be boned.”
  243.
  244. “You might wanna hurry, that blondie seemed like she meant business,” the team mate looked at Penny sleeping, “don't worry, we'll tell her you were needed by the professors or something. That way it's not really a lie,” he chuckled at you.
  245.
  246. You quickly got out of bed and thanked her team mates for being understanding, and apologized for the trouble. You went and kissed Penny on the forehead, causing some wooing from her team, before darting out of the building.
  247.
  248. As you walked back to the main campus dorms, you looked up at the window for Penny's team, and saw her looking at you through it, waving at you.
  249.
  250. You smiled and waved back at her, and blowing her a kiss before going back to your own dorm.
