Yu-gi-oh 5d's mystory 12

(Yusei is racing down a hallway somewhere in the New Domino City Security Impound Center, Cortez and Trudge right behind him, dueling.)
Trudge: You and Yusei'll never make it out of here ! Huh. Unless of course you can drive through walls.
Blister (via radio): Duck!
Yusei: Hah! (ducks)
Trudge: Huh?
(Suddenly the elevator door explodes, just short of Yusei's front wheel; they drive into the cloud of debris. Cortez and Trudge gasps, and probably inhales as much smoke from the blast as humanly possible. Yusei emerges from the cloud of smoke into a vertical elevator shaft, in freefall but for the ends of the runner scraping along the wall. Cortez and Trudge follows right on top of him-- literally.)
Trudge: Hahaha! Yusei certainly know how to make an exit.! I just hope your lifepoints are packing a parachute! Ha! (draws; Trudge's speed counters go to five and Cortez's to 7) Because with five speed counters, I can now play the "Speed Spell - Rapid Shotwing"! And for each speed counter I have, my Striker gets a hundred attack points! Here goes! And that means that with my monster all amped up, I can finally get a little payback for when you and Yusei ditched me in that trash tube back in the Satellite! That's right, kid-- you may have escaped from me in our last duel, but the power of my beasts are (sic) gonna have you back in the Facility before you can make it to the bottom floor! Search Striker, take out his SparkMan!
(Cortez hand pressed one of the facedown activation buttons on the duel disk.)
Cortez: I play my facedown! "Dark Spirit of The Silent"!
(It sends Pursuit Chaser spinning upward)
Trudge: Come back!
Cortez: Oh, he will. See, my trap cancelled his attack. But guess what-- Your Pursuit Chaser gets to fight my SparkMan. But not before I activate my Reinforcements, so now SparkMan gains five hundred attack points
(SparkMan's attack points went up to 2100)
(Trudge's monsters fight, and SparkMan gets destroyed, and his life points went down to 3400)
Trudge: Striker. I'm gonna get you for that, kid-- just you wait!
(Trudge places a facedown.)
Yusei (think): So far he's doing good
Blister (via radio): Yusei-- brace yourself!
Yusei: Huagh!
Blister (via radio): Next stop, ground floor!
(Yusei tilts the front of his runner upward, getting ready to land. Yusei looks Cortez, and they both nodded...)


(Yusei and Cortezs tilts the runners nose-upward to take the impact on the back wheel; they landed, yelling a bit, and puts the nose down to hit the ground running and get out of the elevator; Trudge lands and ends up stuck in the shaft when the doors close.)
Trudge: Hey!!
Yusei: See ya, Trudge!
Cortez: Alright, now to get outta here...
(Trudge bursts through the elevator doors one floor up, and races after Yusei on a balcony above.)
Trudge: We're not done yet!!
(He darts ahead, then bursts through the railing to land right next to him. Trudge rams Cortez from the side)
Trudge: Hey. boys. I hope you like the Facility--
(Trudge suddenly gets a boot to his face. Blister rides between them and pushes Trudge out of Cortez's space, then apparently kicks him over; Trudge disappears behind)
Yusei: Blister?
Cortez: Wow, thanks man!
Blister: Forget the thank-you's. I'm only here to check out my handiwork and see you don't get caught. 'Cause if word got out that I slipped up somehow, my reputation might not ever be able to recover. And don't go thinking this makes us friends or anything, got that? (his voice wavers) I already ruined one friendship.
Yusei: Tell us about Arrow.
Cortez: What happen between you two?
(Blister looks at the road; the background around his wheel changes as a flashback begins)

(Flashback. A sunny day, and a cheering crowd. Blister and Arrow are in the middle of a duel, riding a green runner with yellow racing stripes; the same one Blister rides now.)
Blister (VO): Fine. It's like I toldja before, we were tag-team duelists in the semi-pro league.
FB Blister: We play Machiner Sniper! Now end this!
(This card is known in the TCG officially as Machina Sniper. The monster from the ruined card under Blister's picture frame at home appears, and blasts the enemy monster to pieces.They win, and raise a huge trophy together, possibly the one in the picture. Blister is actually smiling.)
Blister (VO): We were at the top of our game, and it was all because Arrow was a great competitor, and an even greater friend. He thought we'd be champs forever, but Arrow couldn't see the big picture. We were never gonna make the big money stuck doing tag-duels. I had to go solo.
(Fade to black. We scroll from there out into a shadowy hallway lit only by natural light from a door at the end, in which two men stand talking.)
Blister (VO): And so when a rep from KaibaCorp showed up one day with a case full a' money, how could I say no? I had a new sponsor, a new gig, and an open road right to the big leagues. I'm talkin' about duelers like Atlas, Phoenix, Truesdale. The legends. But was Arrow happy? <7:00>
(Back to a bright day, a cheering crowd, and a dueling track)
Blister (VO): Whadda *you* think?
FB Arrow: Blister-- I'm summoning out Machiner Sniper in attack mode.
FB Blister: What?! Not him again! Whaddaya *want* us to lose this duel?!
FB Arrow: Why do you care about this anyway? I heard about the *deal* you made to go pro. I thought we were friends.
FB Blister: Friendship doesn't pay the rent! You think I wanna spend my life in the tag-duel bush leagues? Come on! You don't get it!
(Blister doesn't notice just how hurt Arrow is)
FB Arrow: Sorry.
(Machiner Sniper gets destroyed)
FB Blister: Look at what you just did, Arrow! I might as well kiss my contract goodbye!
FB Arrow: It's just... our friendship's all I've got.
FB Blister: Well guess what-- right now you've got NOTHING, then!
FB Arrow (looks ahead): Huh?
FB Blister: Ah!
(Their opponents' runner is apparently spinning out. A piece of it flies off and hits the connector cables on their runner. They lose control and jump the edge of the track, and suddenly this looks familiar.)
FB Blister: Aaaaaaaa-ugh! (lands)
(The cables fray apart and separate)
FB Arrow: Blister!
FB Blister: Grab my hand! Almost there!
(Blister veers off and flies free of the runner, leaving Arrow to stare in shock)
FB Blister: Arrow...oh no...Arrow! Look out...!
(End Flashback.)

Blister: He was pretty banged-up and spent a few months in the hospital. He never let me say sorry. In fact he only sent me that card you saw to remind me of what a bad friend I was. So the next time someone tells you about *friendship*, well you just remember what I did to *my* best friend. Huh! I hope these *pals* of yours are worth the risk. 'Cause if I know anything about friends, I bet that they hang out with you only because they want something from you in return!
Yusei: No, they're good people, Blister.
Blister: Tch! Nobody's good forever. So you better just watch out for *yourself*.
Cortez: You're wrong! You're just too angry with yourself to see the truth! (sigh) Blister, can't you see that your friend Arrow never wanted to hurt you?
Blister: Huh?
Yusei: Sometimes friends... do some stupid things.
Trudge: You can say that again!
Blister: Huh?!
Trudge: This duel ain't over yet, punks! Your move! Heheheheh, but, don't think it'll help you escape from me!
Yusei (thinks): Cortez better make a move so we don't end up back in lockdown!
Cortez (think): I need to make a move so we can get out of here
(He reaches for his deck)



Cortez: Here we go!
(We see on Yusei's screen that his speed counters are at 8 and his spedometer is at 164 km/h and fluctuating. We also catch a glimpse of his hand: Magician of faith, Rising energy, Negate Attack, and Speed Spell - Speed energy Elemental Hero ClayMan).
Cortez: First I power SparkMan with Speed Energy! So now gains one hundred for speed counter I have!
(SparkMan's attack went up to 2400)
Trudge: Ha! What a waste, kid! I activate my trap card! "Power Bind"! Now SparkMan can't attack until next turn! And until then, his attack points are zero! Kinda like your chances of getting out of this duel without a one-way ticket back to the Facility!  Sorry, kid, but those runners's staying put! Hahahahahahaha! But on second thought, maybe I should just crush it into a cube! I'll be sure to take pictures so you can hang 'em in your cell!
Blister: Whoa. He sure doesn't like *you*.
Yusei: I know Cortez will pull off from this angle.
Blister: that sounds like something that remind me of Arrow. He's not afraid of anything that guy throws his way.
Yusei: Well I'm sure Arrow wasn't scared because he had you as his teammate, and that's exactly how I feel right now having you and Cortez as my wingman, Blister.
Trudge: Rrrrgh, what else you got?! Or is that *all* for now?!
Yusei: I'm just set a monster, and then place SparkMan in defence mode, and now play two facedowns, Trudge!
Trudge: 'Bout time! Now *I* draw!
(Both sets of speed counters rise by one: Cortez's at 9, Trudge's at 7)
Trudge: And don't forget punk, SparkMan got zero attack points! Which means he should be easy pickin's! Search Striker, attack! (SparkMan was destoryed)
Trudge: And now I play Final Countdown!
(This card is known officially in the TCG as "Terminal Countdown")
Trudge: And this card's all about *giving* something to *get* something! The more facedown cards I send to the graveyard, the more lifepoints you lose! Five hundred for one, fifteen hundred for three, and three thousand for four! And last I checked, you have thirty five hundred lifepoints! So by sending three facedowns to my grave, while I somehow damage you to five hundred or more! You lose the Duel! I got one facedown out there already; and come next turn I'm going to throw down two more and make three! And after that, Yusei, it's game over, satellite! You got one turn left; make it count!
Blister: I just don't see how you can win this duel now, Cortez! No matter how fast you try and go, you can't outrun that card's effect!
Cortez: Let's fine out (draw)
Blister: I hope you know what your doing, cause it's gonna get bad for you.
Cortez: I'll end my turn!
Trudge: Alright then, my move!
(speed counters: Trudge 9, Cortez 11)
Trudge: And I summon the tuner monster Torapart! And now I tune my Torapart and my Search Striker, in order to synchro-summon-- Goyo Guardian!
[Goyo Guardian: 2800//]
Trudge: Now take out that face down monster!
Cortez: To bad I got Negate Attack! Huh?
Trudge: Oh no you can't! See with Torapart in my graveyard, you can't trigger your trap this round! So it looks like Negate Attack won't be Negating anything away! (the attack force opened the Magician of Faith)
[Magician of Faith/300/400/L2/Light]
Trudge: And now my Goyo Guardian's taking control of your Magician of Faith! So with her on my field, it'll make a better defence! as they, the best offence is a good defence!
Trudge: Haha! Yusei, there's nothing better than outsmarting a smart-aleck! Heha, and don't think I forgot about Final Countdown! So with this facedown, you're moves away from losing!
Blister: Hey-- whaddaya doin'?! It's like I said, I can't afford to have you lose this duel and end up getting caught, 'cause if one of *you* go down, so do I! So whadda you planning?
Yusei: I'm planning on getting out of here Blister! And our friendship's gonna help Cortez win this!
(Blister stares at Yusei, stunned)


Yusei: Blister, we need to help him out here!
Blister: Listen, the last thing you want is me as a friend! Friends may get you through your day in the Satellite, but over here they just get in the way!
Yusei: I *know* you don't believe that. I saw the card, Blister. The one that Arrow rescued from your last race. Remember?

(Flashback to the burned and ripped card, and Blister standing in the corner looking at it)

Blister: Stop it! He gave me that card to remind me that I failed our friendship!
Yusei: You're wrong.
Blister: Huh?
Yusei: He gave you that card... as a *symbol* of your friendship. And no matter what road your two lives might have taken since that day, he's still your friend.

(Flashback. We see the backside of the card, which appears to be carefully glued back together. We see Arrow lying on the ground amidst roiling smoke and embers, one outstretched arm holding the damaged card away from the fire.)
Yusei (VO): Arrow doesn't blame you for the accident, he blames *himself*. He probably thought if he only supported you a little more, he could've been by your side all the way to the pro league. It's not that he didn't want you to go; he didn't want you to go *alone*. So he gave you the only thing that mattered-- the card that fused your friendship.

Yusei: You know why? Because without his best friend, he didn't care about dueling anymore. But if you ever needed help, you know Arrow would be there without a second to waste. Whatever you think, there's one thing in Arrow that hasn't changed; he's your friend.
(Blister looks down at his runner. Yusei puts a hand on his deck, ready to draw.)
Blister: I... don't know what to think...
Yusei: Just one thing. That I'm your friend as well.
Cortez: And so am I
(Blister lifts his head to stare as Cortez draws his card.)
Cortez: Because of Magician of Faith's flip effect, because of your last attack, I'm now able to replay Speed Spell: Speed Fusion!
Blister: Oh man! I always remembered Arrow playing moves that always that can turn the duel around
Trudge: Don't do it!
Yusei: Sorry, Trudge. Now I fuse Elemental Hero ClayMan and WildHeart to fusion summon!
(The two elemental heroes fused together into the speeding light vortex)

Cortez: Elemental Hero Giga, let's speed up!

Blister: What a move!
Yusei: Now my Giga's gonna take out that Goyo Guardian!
Trudge: Huhuhuhuhuhuh... Still can't add, can you, kid? Perhaps you can take remedial math back at the Facility! Maybe then you'll learn.
Cortez: I did my math all right! It's you who needs to learn about the things called abilities! It cuts your Guardian's attack points right in half, while my monster gains those stolen attack points. Say goodbye.
Trudge: What?!
Blister: Cortez, you got 'im on the ropes!
Yusei: and it's gonna get even better.
(Giga grabbed Goyo Guardian by the neck... who struggles to get a grip, while Goyo Guardian's attack points decrease to 1400, while giga's attack becomes 3600 )
Trudge: Big deal; even with half its strength gone I can still survive. I'll find a better way to take you out, then I'm activating my Countdown's effect!
Cortez: Hm. Next round? There *is* no 'next round', Trudge! I play Rising Energy which gives fifteen hundred attack points by discarding a card!
Trudge: No!
Cortez: And if my *math* is right, that adds up to your defeat!
Trudge: How can this be?! With that kind of power, I can't stop that Giga from wiping out all of my lifepoints!
(Turbo Warrior's attack points now read 5100.)
Trudge: Ugh! I won't let you win!
Blister: Look out!
Cortez: Ah!
(Trudge rams Cortez from the side)
Trudge: I don't care if I have to cheat to do it, but the only way you're getting outta here is with a Sector Security escort!!
(Blister rides up and gets between them)
Blister: No!
Trudge: Ah! You too?! Fine, there's plenty of room in the Facility!
(Trudge tries to break through, but cortez turns around and grabs onto Trudge's duel runner from the front side, lifting it up.)
Blister (shocked): Whao!
Yusei (shocked) how's he doing that?!
Cortez (to Trudge): back *off*! I got a duel to win!
Trudge (scared): Hey... pu... put me down
Cortez: Now... Giga, end this!
(Giga gave Goyo' switch punch to the chain which then begins to heat up around Goyo guardian's body. Goyo Guardian shatters. Trudge looks up at the completed battle, despairing.)
Trudge: Aaagh!
(Trudge's runner screen shows an X and shuts down; Cortez threw Trudge and his runner to the ground, which accidently hits on top of Blister's runner; Blister himself is thrown off and lands next to it. Yusei and Cortez looks back)
Yusei, Cortez: Blister!
Blister: Guys! Just get out of here! Go!
(Yusei and Cortez raced toward freedom, and comes soaring out into the New Domino night, onto a spot surrounded on all sides by Security goons. At least thirty of the guys. They lands their jumps right in front of them and keeps riding-- man, looks more like about a hundred of them, all armed with tasers that zap Yusei as they races headlong through the crowd.)

(Somewhere nearby, a little girl with bright green pigtails gasps suddenly. She's sitting at a coffee table with her twin brother, who wears his bright greeen hair in a bushy ponytail.)
Luna: Oh!
Leo: Huh? What is it?

(Yusei and Cortez are still flying blindly through the sea of tasers...)

(...and somehow Luna feels that peril. She sits there, trembling, eyes wide, then jumps up and runs for the door.)
Leo: Luna? Luna!

(Cortez and Yusei crashes through a wall and into a pile of cardboard boxes, wooden boards, and garbage cans, blind with pain. He is now in a neat, clean concrete area, right outside Leo and Luna's apartment. The twins run out the door and find him, unconscious on the ground and in pain, are mysterious strangers in need.)
Leo: Who... who are they?
(They seem afraid to approach...)
