[u][b]Abilities:[/b][/u]
Anja's mind has been influenced by darkness, as such, she has a multitude of abilities at her disposal, along with a few side effects from being touched by darkness. In order to use the more advanced abilities, Anja must touch the eye shaped tattoo on the back of her neck to increase her concentration for a short time. There is no limit to how much she can do this, but prolonged or repeated use can cause severe headaches, nose bleeds, fatigue, and eventually unconsciousness.

[b]Sensory Manipulation[/b]
As a result of a metaphorical "deal with the devil" and at the cost of her sight, Anja has the ability to change or modify the senses of a single or group of individuals whose minds she is currently touching. To start, Anja can only manipulate once sense at a time, and for a limited time. These abilities are by far the most mentally exhausting to utilize, and they have the potential to be tools of chaos if used improperly.

[i]Taste - [/i] Used to make the target taste whatever Anja or the target itself remembers tasting in the past, or eliminate their sense of taste altogether. The strength of the taste can be altered to make it stronger or weaker.

[i]Touch - [/i] Used to make the target's nervous system register different reactions to pain, such as burning, cuts, and stabs. She can even make the target feel no pain at all, which would be the equivalent of having no reaction to pain, or making them feel numb.

[i]Smell - [/i] Used to make the target smell an odor in Anja or the target's memory, as well as making the target unable to smell anything at all.

[i]Sight - [/i] Used to make the target see anything that Anja or the target have seen before. The realism of the illusion is related to how much Anja is concentrating, and the complexity of the illusion itself affects how difficult it is to project. Anja can also make the person lose their sight.

[i]Hearing - [/i] Used to make the target hear "phantom" sounds that the target or Anja have heard before. Anja can take away the target's hearing as well.

[b]The Might of the Mind[/b]
Anja's mind has been enhanced because of her newly awakened powers. In addition to her ability to alter the senses, her mind's capabilities have been enhanced substantially.

[i]Intelligence:[/i] Before she became an Interference, Anja Decinti was highly intelligent already. Now, Anja has the ability to immediately learn and remember any source of information once she's heard it, and she never forgets what she's learned. In addition, she can analyze specific quirks and patterns in an individual's speech to determine who they are, and how they tend to act and react, and even if they're lying or not.

[i]Telepath:[/i] To compensate for her blindness, Anja is able to determine the location of an individual or group by "touching" their minds and looking into their Occipital Lobe. In addition, she can communicate and talk to them internally, though they cannot do the same. She can also talk to group if they are close enough to reduce the strain of touching multiple minds. The closer the person(s), the easier it is to "touch" their mind, with distance requiring increased concentration. [In theory, she could touch the mind of someone a galaxy away from her. Though this would require months or years of extensive training and focus.]

Another, slightly more menacing function of her telepathy is the classic "mind reading". Were she focused enough, Anja could dig deeper into a person's mind to read their thoughts, or find information about them or others from their memories. However, her intended target would feel more and more uncomfortable the more she dug, which would lead to pain once she started digging into their memories.

[i]Mental Defense:[/i] Anja is capable of protecting herself from nearly any attack on her mind, such as brainwashing or indoctrination. Any form of hypnosis is ineffective on her due to her blindness. If certain forms of mind altering that she cannot resist are used against her, she is at least able to stave off the inevitable for a while and slip in and out of her true self.

[b]Marked by Darkness[/b]
Anja's abilities stem from the darkness she agreed to embrace. For now, it appears to only serve as a reminder for her lost sight and the source of her abilities. But it comes with an unusual side effect: the Heartless largely ignore her. What's more, if she were to stumble upon Heartless who have revealed themselves, the weaker forms will flee immediately, while the stronger ones will be passive towards her. Taken into interpretation, the Heartless could very well be "afraid" of her, but she would be considered somewhat of an equal to them.

[u][b]Personality:[/b][/u]

Anja easily comes across many as a cold, emotionless person. Heck, even her voice sounds robotic during her telepathic conversations. Such assumptions are based on her exterior. Anja is simply someone who can effectively control her emotions in order to better concentrate on thinking logically. She can and does express her feelings when she wants to, but those moments are mostly rare due to how awkward she feels with her emotions and feelings. The constants in her personality are her tenacity to ensure that she remains true to her ideals, her determination to prevent herself from becoming someone else's weapon, and her fear she has of her abilities and the harm they could cause if she were to use them for self-satisfying reasons. She finds it difficult to make friends that she truly trusts, but this doesn't stop her from being polite and cordial to everyone she meets.

Anja largely regrets accepting her abilities once she realized that they had the potential to be extremely powerful, and that no secret could be kept from her. She does not believe that she is strong enough to handle the responsibilities that this power requires, and she has a deep-set fear of becoming someone's weapon of conquest or someone who violates the ultimate privacy of one's inner thoughts. At the very least, she restricts her ability usage to a limited number of uses per day, or during life-threatening emergencies, and she always tries to resist the temptation to dig into someone's thoughts.

Anja is largely neutral to conflict because of her fears that using her powers to their full extent would eventually make her a weapon used by any side that considers themselves "good". It would take a very convincing argument to make her consider siding with anyone, and even then, it's easy to lose her loyalty if she has any reason to believe that she's working for a cause she doesn't believe it.

[u][b]Appearance:[/b][/u]

Anja stands in at 5 feet, 8 inches and weighs in at 127 pounds, both of which create her thin, wiry build. Her skin is vaguely pale and her hair, a flaming auburn, has been shaved off buzz cut style. Her eyes are almond shaped, and they were once a piercing ice blue. Now, they're pitch black and dead, and they appear to glow when Anja uses her powers. All over Anja's body are pitch black tattoos in the shape of tendrils, they have a pattern that makes them look like they're wrapping themselves around her limbs, all the wall up to her ankles and wrists. The tattoos start at small eye shaped tattoo on the back of her neck. When touched, the tattoos are illuminated.
