  1. 2-CT-7 + 5-HTP = Serotonin Syndrome Surge of Stupidity
  2.
  3. Once upon a time (I forget the exact date), in a London far, far away (unless you're in London right now), a psychedelic voyager decided that what ey needed was a trip on the legendary, visual Blue Mystic Magic Bus (having previously tripped hard with Mescaline Airlines and the HBWR Express, to no visual effect). Deciding to show caution, our hero emptied the powder out of the internet-purchased pill and dissolved it with orange juice in a syringe, measuring out just 4 mgs of 2CT7 in the distinctly bitter solution.
  4.
  5. Having downed the 2CT7 (a serotonergic and MAOI), the tripper wished to enhance eir mood for the trip, and swallowed two 50 mg pills of 5-HTP (a good serotonin precursor), and lay on the bed.
  6. Within a half-hour, this interaction leads to a state of rapid heartbeat, anxiety, and a feeling of a excess nervous energy. (This onset correlates with how 5-HTP always worked rapidly for em)
  7. There is a head-rush, but the agitation is too distracting to explore the headspace. Gathering eir wits, the sheepy tripper gets up and goes to the local park, which is but seconds away. The fresh air, light and the ability to run and do something with the excess energy make em feel much better right away.
  8.
  9. Over the next ½ hour, running around helps calm down the agitation. The sky is big and blue and beautiful, and the rush from Blue Mystic wants to carry me away into it. However the nervous energy is prickly and detrimental to focussing on the good aspect. The comedown mostly occurs during this half hour period, and after that imperceptibly fades into simply being outside in the late afternoon sun.
  10.
  11. Thus ended the serotonic tale, and a quick Internet search revealed the two substances should not have been combined so blithely. The day after, there were no notable side-effects. - Also, this tripper will, from now, check the combination before taking it.
