<p>Ever since she was a child, Seren had been told she was a gift from the gods, or a sign from the heavens. The abnormal markings on her horns had always caught the eyes of any who had glanced her way. But rather than induce paranoia in the young Xaela, it instead instilled the habit of being consistently performing, constantly presenting her best self at all times. You can give your first impression only once, after all.</p>
<p>Seren never knew her real parents. She was abandoned on the island of Thavnair, on the doorstep of a noble couple's manor. A family of Miqo'te, Keepers of the Moon. They took her in and raised her like she was no different from themselves, raising her to be a lovely young lady, and to present herself with the decorum and behavior fit for a noblewoman of Thavnair.</p>
<p>As her childhood ended, and she made her ascent into adulthood, Seren took it upon herself to find her own livelihood. She moved out of her family's home, making her way to the great Eorzean city of Ul'Dah, the heart of the provence of Thanalan, whose glistening sands rivaled those of the Thavnairian deserts. It was here that Seren made her mark as a seamstress. Having been taught by a personal tutor in the ways of clothing and seams, Seren was confident in her own craftsmanship that she could make a name and a place for herself in this city of wealth. A new start.</p>
