- Remember how I mentioned in my first guide that you need to try to fake tasks as an impostor, but there are exceptions? This guide will elaborate on this point and explain these exceptions.
- There are certain tasks called "visual tasks." For instance, scanning in MedBay is a visual task since everyone else can see you do it. A visual task can instantly confirm you as a crewmate if someone else sees you do it.
- As impostor, faking a visual task is REALLY risky and can give you away. Here's a list of visual tasks on each map, along with signs that the task is being completed or is already completed.
- SKELD (4 Visual Tasks):
- 1. Scan (MedBay) - This one is self-explanatory. You literally see a crewmate get scanned.
- 2. Asteroids (Weapons) - To the far right of the weapons room, you can spot cannons outside of the ship. When a crewmate is shooting at asteroids, the cannons will begin to fire.
- 3. Trash (Storage) - Right next to the lever, there's a garbage chute that opens and trash flies out when a crewmate completes this task.
- 4. Prime Shields (Shields) - This only applies to the first user. The lights below the vent will shine yellow when a crewmate completes this task. However, the lights remain lit for the rest of the game so you can only confirm the first crewmate who completes this task.
- MIRA HQ (1 Visual Task):
- 1. Scan (MedBay) - This one is self-explanatory. You literally see a crewmate get scanned.
- POLUS (2 Visual Tasks):
- 1. Scan (Laboratory) - This one is self-explanatory. You literally see a crewmate get scanned.
- 2. Asteroids (Weapons) - On top of the weapons building, you can see the lasers fire when a crewmate is shooting at asteroids. You can see this from inside AND outside of the weapons room.
- In conclusion, crewmates can use these visual tasks to their advantage by confirming themselves. Impostors shouldn't try to fake these tasks or they will get caught by attentive crewmates.
