Aika Village Notes

PRE-SECTION:
- Big rectangular television static.
  - Confusion? Beginning?
- Dolly in a present.
- Fountains of woman pouring water from jug. surrounding you, sounding like television static.


SECTION 1:
OUTSIDE
- Red Carnations on left
  - Give red carnations on father's day
- Pink Carnations on right
  - Give pink carnations on mother's day
- Two patches of white carnations on either side of door.
  - White carnations hybrid of red and pink. Aika?
- Perfect peaches
  - Symbolise lots of good stuff
- AiKA: おかあさん　だいすき (Normal Okaasan daisuki)
- Jacob's Ladder
  - Perfect town required
  - A road to heaven.
- Single patch of white roses by the west train tracks and Octavian's house.
  - Post-section grave is nearby, too.
  - Red carnations to west and south of it. Empty ground to east.
  - In hanakotoba, a white rose represents innocence, silence, or devotion.
- Northwest of house is checkerboard pattern of pink and red carnations.
  - Single patch of White carnation by Octavian's house surrounded by red.
- No Dollies in Octavian's house.
  - He's closest to the grave.
- No Dollies in Poncho's house.
  - In fact, he's the only villager that seems completely normal and kind of out-of-place. I guess he's weird because he's normal?
- 3 dollies in Tom's house.
  - He's closest to the Section 1 house.
  - Tom wears static shirt.

INSIDE
(FIRST FLOOR)

- Party clean room Aika in middle
  - Birthday/Christmas. Aika is festively dressed, I think Christmas
    - Cake does say "Happy Birthday"
- Frilly Victorian doll encased in glass by one of the figures beside Aika--the present is by them, too.
  - Could be the mother, on the same side of Aika as the pink carnations.
(BACK ROOM)
- Back room clearly visible but blocked off.
  - Behind glass-encased doll.
    - See Section 4's back room.

(UPSTAIRS)
- HYPNO K.K.
- Toys in order are: Nutcracker, Mama Bear, Pink roundish doll, Pacifier, wall mobile.
  - Father, Mother, Aika, new baby?
- Spinning mobile. Cone light in corner
- Pictures in order: Mother, Family, Dog leashed to its house. The Dolly to the right of them
  - Picture of family has father and mother looking away from each other, away from Aika in the middle.
- Dollhouse open-side facing camera. Looks vaguely like this house.

OUTSIDE
- Northeast is mostly red carnations.
  - One patch of white completely surrounded by red. with no pink in several squares.
  - Some scattered Jacob's Ladder rarely
    - One in front of fountain, other beside one.
- One set of red flowers watered between final two perfect peach trees.
- Mitten discarded behind fountain beside Jacob's ladder.


SECTION 2:
OUTSIDE
- Hedge maze
  - Holes and pitfalls everywhere.
  - Sweets scattered through the maze
  - Money buried throughout
    - Financial hardship?
  - One tree. Has beehive in it.
    - Nowhere to run from bees
    - 100 bells on ground under tree
    - Nearby fortune cookie says "If you leave my mask out there, something terrible will happen! (#9)"
      - In original Japanese: 『君は今晩　呪をかけられる　夢を見るかもしれない』
        - Translation: "Tonight, you might see a dream that curses."
  - Northeast fountain almost completely surrounded by alternating pitfalls and 100 bells.
  - Fossil buried by fountain west of cookie
  - Rock west of Re-Tail fake with Ruby.
    - No pitfalls around it. Just 1 100 bells and choco soft-serve.
- Re-Tail "temporarily closed forever".
  - Megaphone outside Re-Tail.
  - Fossil to east completely surrounded by holes.
- Agnes' house has 1 Dolly on a table
- Fossil buried between Agnes' house and fountain
- 10 graves with doghouses buried.
  - 10 villagers in an Animal Crossing village
  - Pair of mittens discarded by graves
    - No fingerprints?
  - Graves arranged in skull shape.
    - Could be coincidence.
- 10 beehives in Police Station
  - Modern station with Copper.
    -Copper is a dog.
- Another mitten discarded by fountain beside town hall
- Town Hall Flag is Mother's picture
- Pouch by 2nd house and fountain
- Shari's house north of graveyard has 4 Dollies and static wall TV

  - It's closest to house 2
- 2nd house clearly different from 1st

  - Alternates Hiragana and Katakana. Kind of like "I lOvE yOu MoMmY"

INSIDE
(FIRST FLOOR)
- K.K. Synth
- Exit sign maze leads to back room.
  - Another maze. Lots of chaos and unseen obstacles.

(BACK ROOM)
- 24 toys turn their back to you.
  - All toys from Section 1's upstairs are here minus pacifier. There is a Baby Bear, though. Also doll in glass case and Fake Nefertiti bust.
- 4 (SHI) eyes stare hidden on back of the room.
  - They are photorealistic extreme closeups of just the eyes and immediately surrounding area.
    - Expression looks different between eyes.
  - My (the player's) eyes?

(UPSTAIRS)
- K.K. Chorale
- Garden of Eden.
  - David, Venus, toy snake, perfect/rotten apple.
  - Venus is fake.

(DOWNSTAIRS)
- K.K. Ragtime
- 12 dolls sitting around a big feast of sweets.
  - The Dolly has an axe hidden behind it.
  - Kid's party feel.

OUTSIDE
- Wetsuit buried in present by exit of house


SECTION 3:
OUTSIDE
(BEACH)
- 4 (SHI) holes on east side of beach
- Red shoes on beach right on edge of tide.
  - Exact same shoes as Aika
  - Japanese take off shoes  before suicide
(MAINLAND)
- 4 Dollies in Axel's house.
- Huge amount of spoiled turnips and bamboo shoots.
  - Spoiled turnips are financial downfall in Animal Crossing. Just a waste of money.
- Weeds everywhere west of Axel's house.
- One last hole two squares west of Axel's house.
  - Between it and fountain
- Dead trees, withered saplings, chopped-down saplings.
- Bubble wand outside of 3rd house.
- No Dollies in Rhonda's house.
  - She's closest to house 3.
- 3rd house looks like it's about to collapse.

  - 10 だ's. 10 graves

INSIDE
(FIRST FLOOR)
- First thing you see is Dolly with an axe between bookcases.
- Bookcase maze. Blue wavy easter egg at end of main corridor.
- Some book on the floor to left of egg.
- Beehive on floor left of book
- Picture of happy mother patting Aika's head above beehive.
- Beak-dunking bird toy south of beehive.
- A greenish-grey Dolly hidden by bookshelves (have to move camera just right) off the main path.
  - Candy, lollipop, and book dropped in front of her.
- Theremin in NE corner plays loudest and highest when standing in front of family picture by back room.
 - When walking towards picture, can only see Aika and Father in it until closer when Theremin is at its loudest.
- One piece of candy dropped right by the entrance to the right room.

(BACK ROOM)
- Room is a kind of fuzzy blue/purplish white, like notebook paper.
- Pieces of stationary littered across the room in checkerboard pattern.
- Glass case with open book on left.
  - Has a 4 (SHI)-leaf clover on it.
- Glass case with closed picture book on right.
  - Shows bridge, train, tree, snowman when interacted with.

(RIGHT ROOM)
- EXTREMELY shabby room with a BEAUTIFUL grand piano in the middle.
- Eight easter eggs sit in two rows of 4 (SHI) before the piano.

(BASEMENT)
- Shabby-looking room (not nearly as bad as Right Room). Dark except for fireplace.
- Letter set beside sitting room furniture, an hourglass, a stack of what appear to be appointment books, and another bok like in the First Floor.
- Typewriter on a table.
- The Dolly overlooking a pink baby rocker.
- Bed with a black outline of a person.
  - Reminds of black halo formed from kodokushi.
- Looking glass overlooking the bed.
- Radio and glass-cased Victorian doll on fireplace mantle.
- Large pipe organ in NW corner beside big picture of Mother.
- Caged bird chirps pointed at sheet music in front of it.
  - Obvious controlling imagery there.

(UPSTAIRS)
- Mother EVERYTHING.
  - Almost every piece of furniture in the room has custom graphics. Almost all of them are of the picture of the mother.
  - Mama Bear with Mother shirt looking at the doorway as you come in.
- Dog picture-designed chair in front of pot.
- Japanese flag of mother mother mother.
- Family picture on bulletin board on back wall.
- Picture of dog on big green table.
  - At the table is a chair with the dog design, one withe the mother design, and one with the family design.
- The Dolly watching TV.
  - Most likely static when you get there, or (in my case on this very long run) blank signal feed.
- Green dresser designed with family picture.
  - Father in picture is blocked from view by a slider puzzle of the family that has not been solved.
- Design scrolling display above dresser shows the family picture.
  - Displayed this way, it looks like the parents are facing each other with Aika off to the side.
- Bed has a huge Mother design on it.
  - You can't see her head on the pillow.
- Family picture hanging above TV.
  - Cropped so that only Aika is really visible.


SECTION 4:
OUTSIDE
- Town is absolutely gross. Weeds, spoiled turnips, dead saplings, dead bamboo shoots, sapling stumps, normal stumps, dead trees...
- No dolly in Truffles' house. Has a TV on static/no signal noise, though.
- Rotten peach beside fountain.
- Trash starts showing up from the fountain beyond.
- 2 Dollies in Spork's house.
  - Creepy because the room is so bare.
  - Spork has a Mother design shirt.
- House 4 is exactly the same as house 1 on the outside except the lights are off.
- AIKA: qおftjkzsrhslpxslhdfjbfckzpu
  - Only this garbled Aika has the original name.

INSIDE
(FIRST FLOOR)
- HYPNO K.K.
- It's a horrific mess. Random junk all over the floor
- Bucket catching drips from leaky ceiling.
- Clothes line with one outfit.
- Not sure what they really are, but there appear to be alcohol bottles on the floor.
- TV left on.
- Two clocks--grandfather and a crooked one in the NW corner wall.
- Back dresser moved out of the way for access to back room. Glass-cased Victorian doll still on top of it.

(UPSTAIRS)
- HYPNO K.K.
- Same as House 1's Upstairs with the following differences:
  - Lights off
  - Toys turned around.
    - Mama Bear has a red-and-black striped shirt.
    - Pacifier is NOT turned around.
  - Mobile stopped spinning
  - Picture alterations
    - Mother picture scribbled out
    - Aika in family picture scribbled out
    - Dog picture scribbled out
  - The Dolly has an axe.

(BACK ROOM)
- Room has the static design.
- Aika mannequin and axe Dolly are blocked in the middle of the room by steel barricades.
- 4 (SHI) fake Nefertiti busts watch the middle from the sides of the room (2 on either side)
- 2 real Nefertiti busts watch the middle from the back of the room.

OUTSIDE
- Fortune cookie buried out-of-sight behind house where the player can't see.
  - "Power is often fleeting. (#23)"
    - Original Japanese: 『夢のような時間はすぐ終わる』
      - Translation: "The dream-like time will end soon"

(BEACH)
- A trail of wilted bamboo sprouts leads north to a big patch of them.
  - 15 wilted bamboo sprouts in all including the trail. Don't think it matters. 12 in the main cluster.
  - 4 (SHI) 4 (SHI)-leaf clovers. Did I mention 4 (SHI)-leaf clovers are seen in-game as patches of 4 (SHI)?


POST-SECTION:
- You can use the wetsuit to swim to the span of beach north of the beach death patch.
- One aqua-coloured grave, different from the rest, between a patch of black roses and a patch of purple roses.
- There is a piece of candy, a slice of cake, and a lollipop in front of the grave.
- In the grave is buried a creepy skeleton, The Dolly, and a Time Capsule.
