another flash card. A glass bullet the size of a softball appeared in her hand and fired at
him. He grabbed a piece of the asphalt at his feet and hurled it at the incoming attack.
The glass bullet burst apart. Its fragments all aimed inward, piercing through the
asphalt he’d thrown, the entire assembly falling straight to the ground.
