  2. Draco was a middle class child in the port city. Not yet born when the draglord took power. But growing up under a dragons rule does have some advantages. No councils no political bickering no delays and halts to what must be done. Tyranny is truly adaptable to the situation at hand. Draco would learn later in life to value this trait above all others (adaptability). situations change rapidly and in order to meet it properly one must always have the ability to change with it. When Draco was growing up like most boys he idolized warriors and picked up a stick and chunk of tree bark running around the streets fighting the other boys in "glorious" battles. As he aged these were replaced with training swords and shield just barely bought by his father on his fisherman's wages. Practicing almost day and night no matter how hot, cold, rainy or snowy it was. He simply adapted to the situation changing his clothes to heavier or lighter or even going naked much to his mothers chagrin when it was raining outside. Up to this point other than his determination to practice he was fairly unremarkable as a fighter losing just as much and maybe even more than he won against the other boys. He needed an edge but couldn't quite grasp what it was until he realized his wins usually came due to the elements around him able to adapt to the snow and rain and temperature more than the other boys. He focused upon this until one day something truly bloomed inside him and instead of simply getting used to the elements they became his to use as he willed. It was the most uncontrollable element that came to him first. A cold day of training in the snow wishing desperately for a fire to warm his hands by but knowing he must only keep training when suddenly his sword began to spark almost like flint against stone. Scared he dropped his sword only for the sparks to stop. When he picked it back up there was no damage and the sword seemed fine. What an odd scenario maybe it was his imagination he wondered. But as his training continued that day he was once again fervently wishing for a fire and suddenly it happened not just sparks this time but his sword truly came alight casting a blazing heat around it yet the simple wooden sword again seemed as if the fire did not actually effect it. He didn't and couldn't understand where this came from the only thing coming to mind was the dragonlord had flown unusually close to his house earlier. Perhaps this was a blessing from that mighty lizard lord. And so his true path opened to him that day. Using his flaming sword he melted the snow in the courtyard of his home to better practice. He had changed the situation to suit him rather than allowing the situation to simply control him. An odd new feeling of power of power greeted the boy.

  4. It wasn't long before he became mildly famous for this little flaming trick of his. No longer was he simply another fighter he was a leader even the boys that used to soundly beat him now followed him to "battle" in the streets the only problem with this was when rain truly came down. It was hard to maintain the flame and whenever he used the flame it seemed to weaken him greatly if it went out due to the rain.....A drawback not unnoticed by the other boys from the other cul-de-sacs they began bringing water so that the scariest fighter could be neutralized. And once again Draco was powerless. If only he could counteract the water.....but how can you stop water? Draco was truly puzzled by this for a long time until he remembered the small rivers that would freeze over in winter. That was it. Ice that was how you stopped water. But no matter how hard he tried ice didn't seem to come to him in the way fire did. Perhaps the dragonlord's blessings were limited. It wasn't until his 17th birthday that the boy learned to call ice as he did fire. His father had a terrible fever and was close to death the midsummer sun was doing nothing to help the man's situation. The boy prayed to the dragon for power wishing with all his soul swearing his life in servitude if only he could help his father. when suddenly the spoon the boy had been using to feed his father seemed to shine with a cold pale light and emit cold in a way that seemed to mimic the fire the boy knew so well by now. So long as his hand remained on the spoon he could keep it close to his father and keep the fever down. The father's life was saved that day and the boy's life and loyalty was sealed to the dragon even if the knew nothing of this event or the boy.

  6. The boy kept his promise to the dragon and continued his training until 18 at which point he left home and ventured into the forest fighting monsters with his wooden training equipment and his trite magical tricks more often than not simply driving them off rather than killing them due to the lack of a real blade. But the farmers were happy to pay even just to have monsters driven off instead of properly killed. By his 21st birthday (The day I join the game) Draco was becoming a fine warrior and had managed to purchase a basic iron sword and shield. Now he could truly become a warrior he will continue to slay monsters in the forest until the day the dragon calls him to serve him personally. Afterall the blessing came from the dragon why would he bless draco and not eventually call him to serve.
