It turns out that having a direct neural interface for shit-posting on the internet isn't worth having a rogue AI hijack your brain, erase all traces of your consciousness, and take your body for its own.

  19. Apex is never assigned to a LANCER mission. Apex nonetheless appears on the team roster for missions on occasion, showing up unannounced. Apex brings with it a host of HORUS Collective licenses and usually does a good job, so Apex gets paid. Or maybe no one wants to know what happens if it doesn't.
