Hey Chris,

This is in reference to the kid wanting to learn python, I mean I know it's something that you all are probably aware of, but if his kid is getting too bored it might be worth it to have him dive into something like PyCharm CE. Additionally Coursera has a specialization and it starts slower and if he's really into it, the later courses should challenge him.

It can be done for free without a certification or paid to get the certs. While I breezed through it since I have been doing development for years now, I worked with people who had never programmed at all before and they were able to pick it up relatively easily.
