- // The change of subject was a welcome thing. His posture perked up and his eyes brighted a bit, and a smile returned to his face at the mention of jutsu. It was one of the few things he could do that brought him satisfaction and joy, working on his techniques. He'd take a step back, and his smile grows into a crooked, confident grin. [1]
- He surveys the field for a suitable target and finds one in the cactus standing right next to him, sprouting awkwardly from the sand. Its pink blossoms gave off a sweet, almost fruity scent. He turned his face to Somen and brought his hands together before his chest, forming a single seal. [2]
- "So, take it you're a wind user 's'well?" he asks, already knowing the answer. There was no other reason the man would ask specifically about his wind jutsu, lest he was trying to come up with a way to counter him personally. "First one I learned how to use," he says, turning to face the cactus again as be began to the familar routine of shaping his chakra, molding it into a tight, compact ball deep within his core. [3]
- When he was satisfied with the way his chakra felt, churning and fighting to explode from him, he allowed it too. A cacophonous, resounding boom rings throughout the courtyard as a torrential wave of wind explodes outward from his body. As he'd moved away from him, the most Somen might feel was a terse breeze or two, but the cactus, on the otherhand, only JUST managed to stay rooted against the barrage of his chakra. Now, it leaned dangerously low to one side. [4]
- "Was that; Divine Wind," he finally continues as the storm around him dies down. "Its a technique used to push any buggers who migh' try an' get close, away." He turns to face Somen completely now, allowing for his chakra to calm within him. [5]
- Yogan, Igo nods enthusiastically, pointing at Somen's hands, which he'd presume were still holding the seal he'd just performed. "Good. Alrigh' then, keep that seal," he says, turning back to the cactus. He takes a few moments to center himself, then brings his hands before him again, forming the same seal he'd just used, and the one Somen would hopefully be holding. [6]
- This time, instead of using his grasp of chakra control to pull his chakra inward, this time, he gathers it into tight knots; spinning balls of tightly wound chakra. 4 of them altogether, all of which he directs toward his right hand. For a few long, suspended seconds, he would hold the pose, as he'd done before, breathing slowly and deliberately as his eyes droop for a moment... then he bursts into action. [7]
- Unlike the last technique, Igo thrusts his right arm out before him and forms the hand into the shape of a finger gun. In the same instant, there is four loud, audible /phwumps/ that go off from his outstretched finger tip. Four solid balls of wind chakra speed at the cactus in a line, slicing through the flesh of the desert plant with ease four times in a row.[8]
- The cactus topples over, effectively cut in half by his technique. He turns to Somen. "Wha' bout tha' one?" he asks.
- Yogan, Igo // The look in his eyes burned with extreme hatred as the cloaked form of Igo stood hunched in the puddle of lava and molten rock. Low, rumbling growls would begin to emenate from his body as his gaze jumped between each person there. Then he lifts his head to the sky and lets out an earsplitting howl before his hands come before him to form a single seal, and then he points, first at Kata, then at Tetsu, Inika and at the closest Kushala.[9]
- //Chakra control was, perhaps, one of the most important disciplines in a ninja's arsenal. It was the most basic discipline that any ninjutsu user had to master. Or any /jutsu/ user for that matter. It was what helped them perform complex techniques.[10]
- Igo remembered the day he came back from the Land of Stone. That day, he met Tonegi and began his official forray into the world of Chakra control. He began to study the art of chakra manipulation. With Tonegi's help, slowly, his studies began to advance. [11]
- There was a basic stance Tonegi taught him. It was one designed to assist with the process of focusing one's chakra. Igo brought his hands together before him to form the basic hand seal. Then, he let his attention shift inward. [12]
- Through closed eyes, Igo imagined himself standing in a dark room; a place at his center. There, he took a seat on the floor, in the middle of the room, and struck a meditation pose. Next, he slowed his breathing and projected his senses inward, into his conscious. Then, he relaxed himself. [13]
- Igo's mind jumps back to the present moment. He opens his eyes and stares out at the backs of the buildings before him. A small desert Flit, perched on the tree between the buildings stared back at him before spreading its wings and taking off. He takes a deep breath, and closes his eyes. [14]
- Anyone watching him would see him take the stance; feet shoulder's width apart with his arms held up before his chest. His hads had come together before him to make a seal. He holds this position for a long time without doing anything further. Then, he begins his ritual. [15]
- At first, he would feel the tendrils of his consciousness drift downward, inside of himself. In his minds eye, he sw that familiar, dark room. He watched himself take a seat in the shallow pool of glowing blue and red liquid that covered the floor. And then, he watched as he flung himself backwards, submerging himself in the liquid. [16]
- In his mind's eye, Igo watches as the glowing liquid, sending ripples off as far as they could go into the darkness. He watches as the faint glow about the pool slowly begins to grow brighter. Bubbles slowly form on its surface above the spot where Igo's submerged 'conscious body' lay. In a matter of moments, the gentle bubbling turns into an angry roiling. [17]
- Igo focused intently on the manipulation of his own chakra pools. Soon, the surface of the pool, broken by an angry flurry of bubbles, much like a boiling pot of water, would begin to shift. Small, gentle waves first begin to split the froth on the pools surface. Those waves eventually begin to double in size. [18]
- Soon, he would watch as the waves begin to take on different shapes. It was subtle at first; a small, curcular bulge rising above the froth of the chakra pool here or there. But she shapes were slowly starting to take complex shapes. A serpentine, winding wave slithered over his position at the bottom of the pool. [19]
- His mind flitted to the small desert bird he had witnessed moments ago, perched upon on the larger branches jutting out from the top of the tree. The glowing blue shape of a small bird would rise from the glowing pool to make a few circular loops in the air before diving back into the liquid. He smiled to himself. Even Tonegi had been impressed with his grasp of control. [20]
- // The sun that rested peacefully above Konoha was much gentler than the sun that beat down on them relentlessly during the days spent slaving away in Sunagakure. Igo stared up at the blue sky for a moment longer. He took a deep breath, then he brought his hands together before his chest. There, they formed a single hand seal. [21]
- In his mind Igo revisited the lessons he'd had with Tonegi. The man was an expert at chakra control, and had taught him as much as Igo could learn before he disappeared 6 months ago. Igo quieted his thoughts and took a deep breath. Then, he allowed is focus to drift inward. [22]
- He imagined himself standing in dark room that stretched on as far as he could see in any direction. A pool of gently-glowing liquid rose up past his ankles. 'Imagine the pool is your chakra,' he couls still hear Tonegi say, clear as day. Igo walked a bit further into the darkness, to a place where the glow from the pool was stronger, and then sat down. [23]
- As he sat, he took a meditation pose, sitting with his legs crossed and a hand resting on each knee. He closed his eyes for a moment and slowed his breathing. When he opened them, the glow had grown more intense. Blue light, the glow of his own chakra, mixed with an infernal red glow. [24]
- The red, glowing chakra, Igo recognized as belonging to the tailed beast sealed within him. However, it was so mixed and combined with his own chakra that at times, Igo couldn't discern the two. The two seperate chakras had almost completely merged and become one. 'That is why, if someone were to try and take the beast out of you,' Tonegi had warned dyuring a lesson just months earlier, 'Then chances are, the process will kill you.' [25]
- He sat like that for a while longer, pondering the past lessons he had taken from Tonegi. Then, he brought his hands together and once more, closed his eyes. His breathing slowed once more and his focus was purely on the process of chakra manipulation. Soon, he could feel waves lapping against him; hear bubbles frothing. [26]
- When he opened his eyes, the once still pool had become active. Serpentine waves weaved too-and-fro. Furious bubbles rose up and popped on the chakra pool's surface. Orb-like bulges rose from the pool, only to dive back down without so much as sending a ripple into the liquid. [27]
- Igo smiled to himself and then blinked, and he was staring out into the real world again. The sun in the sky hadn't moved more than a few inches. His hands were still holding the first seal, so he allowed them to change, forming a second seal. He focused for a moment, then sent his own chakra surging up through and /out/ of his body. [28]
- The result was something Igo had practiced many times before. Usually, he'd allow his scorch chakra to burn through him and out to cover his entire body in a pink-orange cloak burning as brightly and as hotly as a supernova. Instead, while the cloak /had/ formed over his entire body for an instant, with great effort, Igo was able to draw the entirety of the cloak into hiw right hand. He held it up before him. [29]
- The heat rolling off of his hand was /intense/. Igo smiled, and then held up the left one. He closed his eyes, then began to focus on sending the cloak into the hand he'd lifted. When he opened his eyes, his smile grew into a grin. He stared down at his glowing left hand. After a few more moments, the cloak would recede back into him. A satisfied look filled Igo's eyes. [30]
- // As they walked through the forest, dusk rapidly approached. Shadows grew into night as the sky blackened. The moon, a bright white orb, was all but completely obscured by the thick canopy of the forest trees. Igo felt a chill come over him, and he shook his head, bringing his hands together before him to perform 2 seals. [31]
- For a brief moment, Igo's body flashed a vibrant pink-orange-white. Then, he held his right hand up, and in an instant the cloak traveled up into his wrist and hand. His fingers closed and he balled his hand into a fist and the light seemed to burn even brighter, casting a bright light that threw the shadows of the back back. [32]
- He held his hand up higher as they approached the gate, willing the light to shine more intensely still, and it did, casting the ruined gate and walls in a pale pink light. The two ninja could undoubtedly make out the peaceful critters of the forest scurrying away, roused from their slumber. [33]
- As Somen spoke and got to work, Igo stared around at the destruction; fresh destruction. His eyes narrowed as he felt a familiar, and unpleasant tingle in the back of his consciousness. **Another was here,** said a growling, angry voice in his mind. **Recently. Kyuubi...** the voice falls into a grumbling chuckle. **Brother, you have been busy,** [34]
- "Wha' happened here, Somen?" Igo asked solemnly, fearing the answer he was confident he was already just given. He walked over to a large cluster of debris; a group of chunks of ruined wall fallen years prior in the original attack. With his free hand[since this is plot rp and not combat], Igo performs a single hand seal and then aims a the hand liek a finger gun at the first of five large artifical boulders and fire a single air bullet at it. The boulder would shatter, practically exploding into thousands of tiny pieces. Four more follow suit an instant after. [35]
- ||**Hoohoohoohoooo!!If only, if only! Mine is a stain!! Not worthy of one such as I!! Hooohoo!!! Hoohoohoooo!!**||
- Igo grit his teeth and clenched his jaw. The beast was speaking, but not to him. He furrowed his brow and looked around for a moment, then looked in Somen's direction. He held his glowing scorch hand up and willed the light to brighted, casting Somen in its pale pink glow. [36]
- "Do you... is your... /friend/ speaking?" He asks, eyes wide in something akin to curiosity. The 4-tails had definitely spoken, but it wasn't too him as it usually was. It felt more like the 4 tails had spoken /through/ him. He swallowed hard, watching Somen. [37]
- lifts his scorch hand and holds it forward a bit to give the sand clone light to work by. His brow furrows and he frowns at Somen. He watched the older jinchuuriki take a seat, seeming a little wobbly. A wave of sad understanding washes through him. He knew how Somen was feeling all too well. [38]
- He stood there in the silence for a moment, contemplating the possibility that their beasts were communicating. A shiver ran up his spine, and then he was filled with something alien; a haunting sense of amusement and contempt. It was Son Goku's, not Igo's. He grit his teeth threw up his wall, focusing instead on the brightness of his cloak. [39]
- He looked at Somen, who had an exhausted, almost haggard look about him, and simply nodded once, walking off with his scorching hand held high to the next section of ruined wall. There he would stop among the chunks of debris. An idea came to mind, so he approached one of the larger chunks of ruined wall, and layed his glowing hand upon it. After just seconds, a hissing, searing sound would rise from the rock, followed by smoke. [40]
- After a few more moments, the chunk of wall began to glow a bright right from the heat he was pushing into it... but that was it. It didn't melt or burst at all, but it glowed. An idea stuck him, and he let his cloak recede from his hand back into him. He smiled at the result. [41]
- Along with a warmth that rolled off of the surface of the rock, it cast a dim red flow, illuminating the area. It was enough light to work by. Igo brought his hands up and performed a single seal, then pointed a single finger at 5 seperate rocks in rapid succession. As he did, each boulder exploded into thousands of tiny pieces, scattering a thing layer of gravel around the base of the wall. [42]
- He repeated the process once more. His arms came up and his hands came together. A single seal was formed. He pointed at the remaining large chunks of debris, saving his glowing one for last. All of the ruined chunks of wall in the area were no more. [43]
- He continued working around the outer perimeter of the Tea Village's wall. When he'd finish clearing a patch with Air Bullet, he would activate his scorch cloak and draw it into a single hand, using its light as a torch as he traveled between the ruined sections of wall. Then he would place his hand upon the largest boulder until it began to glow. His cloak would recede, and he would begin to work. [44]
- By the time he'd made his way full circle around the wall, the darkness of night had begun to show streaks of blue and pink. Dawn was on the horizon. He let his scorch cloak dissapate one last time, knowing he wouldn't need it to clear the final patch of debris. He could see just fine as his air bullets more than did the trick. [45]
- When he'd finished, he would bring his arms up again. His hands would form a single seal, and a great burst of wind would explode outward from him. The loose gravel he'd created by destroying the ruined wall chunks was flung, scattering and thinning any small piles or any residual larger chunks of stone. Finally, he turned and headed to where he could see Somen standing not too far off in the distance, by the gate. He approached and waved. [46]
- "G'morning, Somen."
- walked out a small ways into the forest. Every once in a while, he would stoop low and when he stood, he would be holding a small log, a piece of wood or some other piece of tinder. He walked over to the small clearing before the gate and made a little campfire. He stood, performed a seal, and fired a single ball of scorch fire into the small pile of dry tinder and debris. [47]
- Almost instantly, it burst into flames. Igo's jutsu had created a small campfire. Igo sat down beside it and let the warmth wash over him for a moment. Then he formed a single hand seal, leaned over and blew gently into the base of the fire. A burst of wind stoked the flames to life and soon they began to dance excitedly. [48]
- Igo looked up into the morning sky and sighed. He closed his eyes for a moment, drawing himself inward, into that familiar room, with that familiar glowing pool he so often visited during his meditations on chakra control. He took a deep, slow breath, and began to focus. The glow of pool began to grow brighter. [49]
- And in that moment, something clicked in his mind. He felt more in tune with his chakra than he ever had before. In his mind, he reached down and let his hand slip under the surface of the pool. When he did, a blinding blue light swirled up from its depths into his finger tips. He smiled to himself and opened his eyes, staring into his fire. [50]
