Vicky and Emmet

>It had been 3 years since Emmet and Vicky were bought as a package deal for the Winslow family
>As a Sterling brand Botler and Nandroid, they were built to complement one another in their daily duties to the Winslows
>Like a well oiled machine, the two were unstoppable. No mess went uncleaned, no mouth unfed, no shoe untied, and no homework un... helped... with...
>Thanks to Sterling's adaptive operating system, Emmet and Vicky became very accustomed to their owners' family, their daily lives, and their needs
>They also became rather accustomed to the way their owners acted around each other
>Mr. and Mrs. Winslow were an inseparable pair. Their love was undeniably true, and every day was a honeymoon for them
>Their adoration for each other was very obvious, both at home and in public, and it didn't take long for Emmet and Vicky to take notice of their very public displays of affection
>However, it did take quite long- 3 years in fact- for Emmet and Vicky to begin to wonder how that sort of love feels
>The androids loved their family a great deal of course, but the undying devotion their owners' displayed was on another level
>What's more, this affection seemed to help them along.
>The family wasn't devoid of hardship, but through it all, the Mr. and Mrs. stuck together, worked together, and came out the other end of such troubles together, and stronger than before

>And so, naturally, one day while doing housework, Emmet and Vicky wondered out loud to one another... would love aid them in their duties?
>The two stopped in their tracks, and pondered the possibilities.
>They're almost literally made for each other, but does that mean they're better TOGETHER? Or just better "together?"
>What could the outcome be? Would the affection be a distraction? Or would it cause one to want to work harder to make the other's job easier? Would they both do that, improving their performance, or would it be one sided?
>And really, for starters, are they even attracted to one another? CAN they be attracted to one another?

>Arriving at these questions, the two suddenly faced each other. They simply stared, with occasional scans of one another's forms
>Emmet took note of Vicky's backswept hair, her curlicues, the roundness of her face
>Vicky studied Emmet's eyes, his sharp chin, his broad shoulders
>Emmet found things he hadn't really bothered to see before, like the daintiness of Vicky's hands, or the slender shape of her chassis
>Vicky realized she'd never noticed how stately Emmet appeared, and how perfectly uniform his build was
>Their minds turned to their lives together
>Emmet recalled Vicky's boundless energy. Even for a Nandroid, she seemed to have an endless well of vigor that kept her going, all with a smile on her face. Her positivity and passion were uplifting to him, and the family!
>Vicky thought about Emmet's kindness. All service androids are well mannered, but Emmet could sweet talk a criminal out of crime. He even did just that once, stopping a robbery in the Winslow household without any conflict!

>Their gazes and thoughts were laid upon each other for at least 30 minutes.
>They quietly analyzed one another, both in this point in time, and in their memories
>Total silence
>Suddenly, Vicky breaks the stillness with a gentle tilt of her head, and a kind smile
>"You know, I think you're actually quite the dashing and charming robot, Emmet!"
>Slightly taken aback, Emmet smiles and adjusts his suit's collar before responding.
>"And YOU are quite the beautiful and inspiring android, Vicky."
>"Hehe, well of course, Emmet! You're a Sterling product too, you know as well as I do that-"
>Emmet interrupts her. "Of course, I know! All Nandroids are rather lovely. But, something's... different about you. In a wonderful way!"
>Her cheeks glowing a hot red, Vicky's smile widens before replying. "That's very sweet of you! And, might I say, you have a unique charm to yourself as well!"
>"Goodness, I don't know what to say, Vicky!"
>After their brief compliments, the two couldn't help but quietly giggle to themselves as they nervously averted their eyes. It seemed they were in fact rather attracted to one another. At least, they think this is what attraction felt like
>...But what now?
>Well, now, the oven timer just went off, and it's nearly 6 o' clock, so Emmet must attend to dinner, while Vicky prepares the table. Can't have the Winslows coming home to an unprepared dinner table!








>During dinner, while the Winslows talk amongst themselves, their service androids couldn't help but have thoughts run on repeat through their minds.
>"...But goodness me, Vicky is quite the darling, isn't she?"
>"That Emmet... He really is very sweet..."
