Vareline - Artificial Eyes

The witch opened the hatch leading towards the cellar which in fact was unused empty room filled with few cobweb and dust covered shelfs and pair of candles that she lighted with snap of her finger, allowing the faint light to illuminate the room and revealing an runned wall with clear outline of a door around them.

Imeri led everyone down the stairs,waiting for them to join her before deciding to turn around and soon speak  "Well behind these doors lies my old research lab, I will need a moment to clean it and prepare for the procedure...in the meantime....please take these salves and use them as yo uwill clean yourself...the room need to be as clean as possible that includes all of you being clean as well...I don't want to risk any infections..."

She said while taking out few small jars with lavender smelling salves, clearly something that would work similarly to soap. She held the jars in front of her in the air waiting for them to pick them up before deciding to turn around and slowly wave her staff, enforcing part of the wall to creak and rubble as it began to move, creating more or less primitve looking shower areas with water flowing from the celling towards the holes in the ground.

Water itsellf appeared to be comimg from underground stream. The witch sighed and slowly snapped her fingers, creating few more flames to warm up the water, esuring that they wouldn't clean themselves in freezing one.

Vareline follows her down the hatch with the others as they arrive at the door. when she was told about the salve she would begin taking off her armor and applying it to herself, making sure her armor wouldnt get in the way of anything . She takes some of it and follows imeri to the shower areas. Vareline doesnt mind the cold water, but she was glad when it was heated. She goes over to one of the areas, not sure if they were blocking off from eachother.

She undresses and begins cleaning herself with the provided salve. the smell of it filling her nose. It takes her a little bit before she finishes and covers herself with just her dress, not wanting to be completely naked in front of everyone.

It was another day of relaxing for Kaiza, it looked as if he got those a lot nowadays. It would be hard for his anger to show now that he has found his old self, calm, cool, and collected. After a few hours of being in a calm invironment he would hear the door open only to see Imeri, Zach, Sylvia, and Vareline walked in. He'd give a smile after being greeted and offer his company so that he may watch what goes down in that lab, maybed even help.

He watched as Imeri opened the hatch to the cellar, it looked like it hadn't been used in ages. With cobwebs and plenty of dust around the entire room, little creepy but it could be worked on. He watched as Imeri snapped her finger easily ignighting flames for all the torches in the cellar. She stopped to speak with everyone before levitating a few salves with a lavender scent in the air. Kaiza would grab one and as they were told.

He'd stop after seeing what they had to work with for showers and open his mouth to speak. "Woah wait uh... the shower upstairs is perfectly fine," he said after seeing how primitve He'd sigh before letting a thick cosmic aura surround him before stripping and showering so no one could see him, for his privacy and theirs.

Sylvia came down here with many old people who would be a lot more skilled and her within many ways as she was told to take a shower she would, she was only eight years old as she would start to undress letting the water hit her as she would start to get clean she took the thing that Imeri handed to her using that to clean her young body.

After the shower would be done she would take a look around the place with her head turning left to right it tihs was the place where she would see this was the place that her teacher learned how to use Alchemy, but she was in the shower for some time making sure the water was strong and nobody could see her.

Slowly he'd began to move down to where his mother created the monsters before. <"oh great this hell hole again.."> He'd slowly rolled his eyes as he'd looked around. Once she had over the strange soap like thing he'd gazed over seeing some poorly made showers. He'd shrugged walking in and making a wall of earth to close it shut so he had complete privacy. Xcept he didn't make any room to breath.

Once he was done he'd came back out gapsing for a bit of air and put his jacket back on. "Do-don't do that again...Zachariah.." He spoke and walked over.

Imeri went straight into preparing her old lab for the procedure, starting with opening the runic doors and slowly proceeding inside, snapping her fingers and slwoly rpoceeding with moving cleaning the room with usage of her lightning and fire, allowing for the two to slowly clean the air before deciding to move upstairs and bring down small bar of gold, silver and steel, followed by crate of weirdly looking potions and salves.

She would have taken as much time as she required to prepare the room before deciding to face Vareline and others, speaking calmly  "Alright...you get inside and wait in there...Zachariah, leave the squirrel here, put some facemasks and something to cover your hair then wash your hands with Vareline resting on the table.

Sylvia guessed she was just here to watch as her name was not called she didn't think she would be doing anything as she is only eight years old. She would be standing in place for now as she was not told to do anything but she would try to learn from this as she watched her teacher carry many potions.

This was something she could learn how to use Alchemy better and she could it was a great way to learn watching her own teacher.

Vareline nods to Imeri as she begins walking into the room. she still felt nervous and she covers her hair. she puts on one of the facemask to cover the lower half of her face and then makes her way to the table. She stops using her wind magic after finding the table and laying down. She was still completely nervous on how this was going to go, but she couldnt feel anything on right now. She had the amulet on from the mining trip that numbed her sense of touch and feel.
She lays there quietly as she waits for everything to begin

After showering Kaiza would dry himself and get dressed before letting his thick cosmic aura die out as he stepped out in the open where everyone would be. He did as he was told and covered his face and hair before washing his hands quickly. He saw that Vareline was more than capable of getting herself on the table, so he would simply stand by unless he was needed.

"Alright then." was all he would say whilst looking toward Imeri letting her know he was here to help.

Looked over at everyone and nodded placing the backpack down he'd slowly went to wash his hands once he was finsihed he'd walked over too where vareline was laying down. "So...what do I do now?"


H'ed asked not really having a slight idea of what he was gonig to be doing and how he was gonig to be doing at the moment.

Imeri returned towards the lab after a while, cleaned and dressed differently, with clean clothing, wearing facemask and bandana hiding her hair. She sighed quietly and looked at the others while walking slowly towards the table and crate filled with the potions, speaking with rather nervous voice.

 "Alright...I warn you this won't be nice sight since it will involve working with area around and inside of Varelines eyesockets, there will be blood, not alot of it but still...yeah...Sylvia, as much as you mgiht not like it I expect you to learn this, skilled alchemist should also be able to handle sight like this as some more vaulable minerals or ingridients that alchemists could use, but no, Vareline is not one."

"We are here to make the attempt to restore her sight, from years of my research I was able to not only to sccessfuly implant few prototypes into captured bandits and yokai but also keep them alive, though....it involved premaraitons like such now...so hey please try not to return your meals while I will be performing the procedure...its...well very bad for the health."

She said bluntly before walking and grabbing one of the vials, soon uncorking it and handing it to Vareline, speaking with calm and determinated voice.  "Sister, I need you to drink this...this...well will put your body in state of similar to coma where I will be able to work without risk of you bleeding out or without your body convulsing from me working over tryingto bring your sight back..  the liiquid itself appeared to be bright blueish and smelled rather sweet, Imeris master in alchemy allowed her to avoid the need of creating awfully smelling and tasting potions making it easier for others to drink them.

With Vareline passing out from the effect of her potion, waiting a little to ensure that it was working properlly taught by her previous experiences that sometimes the potion required a while to actually start working, sometimes ending up with her test subjects ending up tryingto break free from their bindings as she already began cutting them open.

The witch grabbed one of the bars and focused her mind, soon using her control over metal to form basic and small knife blade, inspecting it from up close before deciding to move closer towards the drakanite on the table. Her sight locked at Varelines face and with one of her hands removing the blindfold and anything else that was covering Varelines eye scokets. Her other hand moved and grabbed another vial, soon uncorking it and pouring it gently around the eyes, soon smearing the substance before the witch decided to make a gentle incision on Varelines skin.

She slowly cutted through it and moved out of her way with usage of retractor, slowly making it easier for herself to access the eyesockets, slowly sparking pair of flames before deciding to position them in right angle to have entire area isnide iluminated. With quiet sigh, the witch stared at everything that was inside before deciding to grab another vial, just to uncork it and tilting the vial, allowing for few drops to land inside before looking at others that were gathered, speaking.

 "Solution I used works similarly to healing potion...with exception that this one focuses on dealing with nerves and muscles, she lost her eyes long years ago wihch means that everything isnide lost its old shape and purpose, this potion is going to partly going to restore muscles, nerves and veins to their old shape, though it will be to Vareline herself to do the rest...

She fell silent and didn't speak of last part which involved a chance that her work would fail, a small chance, though still possible as with everything, especially when it came to more or experimental solutions like Imeris one.

Vareline lays there quietly as she was out cold. The drops put into her eyes to help fix her nerves wouldn't do anything for a bit, taking about three minutes to start causing her muscles to heal. looks like the solution worked, since the old nerves and muscles began reforming for Imeri to continue her work. Vareline keeps laying there without moving though, since she cant feel a thing and was still comatose from the potion she was given.

Sylvia would see that the potion that her teacher made worked would she be able to do that one day she hope that she could and she also knew if she didn't stop her training she would be able to do better and her one day. Sylvia watched as she used magic controling metal itself, as she would remove Vareline's blindfold could she really gain her sight back Sylvia didn't know but it was a good chance it would happen.

Sylvia seen her used another thing but she didn't know what it was, as she would keep watching but with that her teacher would start to speak. Saying it was going to bring things back to how they used to be and it would be up to Vareline to get it fully back, after that she would stop speaking focusing on Vareline again.

Imeri smiled fiantly through her facemask before turning her focus towards her task at hand, she grabbed pair of her surgery tools after sealing the vial with healing potion, allowing it to hover in the air while she slowly worked on trying to align the muscles and nerves in right position while keeping theim in place with her gravity power, preparing them to be properly attached to the runic implant itself.

Implants themselves lied in a small wooden casket. Imeri grabbed one of them with usage of the hemostate and moved it close to the eyesocket, turning it encarved pupil was facing oppoisite direction to where the eyesocket was, making it possible for witch to gently tap the artifical eye and force it to glow faintly before opening and revealing holes to which the, veins, nerves and muscles could be attached in order to moved the eyes properly.

In order to attach them Imeri had to use her tools with precision and serious delicacy to avoid damaging any of the parts and possibly making it impossible for Vareline to move her new eyes in future, making the entire process time consuming. Once she was done she would have gently tapped the runic eye again, sealing it and securing each muscle and nerve in place simiarly to how orgiinal eye would have been before.

With first eye done, Imeri moved towards placing the skin that surrounded the eyesocket back to its original position before grabbing and heating piece of the metal to point where it was hot enough to seal the incison she early made. Soon after she rested the piece of metal near rest of her tools before grabbing small jar from the crate, soon opening it and dipping her her finger into the salve, soon smearing it all around the area tha she just recently sealed.

Straight after she grabbed piece of clean cloth, slowly using it to clean her hand and area around the completed eye before deciding to rest the cloth on the table and grab the knife again, similarly as before making incison around the other eyesocket, slowly separating the skin with usage of the retractor before grabbing the vial with healing potion and uncorking it, before poruing the remaining droplets into the eye, giving it a few moments for the effect to slowly begin to work.

The witch looked at her son and soon nodded to him gently before speaking  "Zachariah, mind grabbing one of the clean cloths and using it to wipe my....forehead please? He'd slowly took out a clean cloth and began to wipe down her forehead. He was worried that varleine would be in a lot of pain from this. "She won't wake up right...?" He'd asked worried stat while still wiping her haead.

Imeri looked at her son and shook her head briefly in response. Vareline wasn't going to wake up anytime soon, her option was pottent enough to keep her in the state for few good few hours giving her more than enough time to complete the surgery. She grabbed he second eye with retractor and positioned it just near the eyesocket before tapping it, forcing it to slide open and allow her to slowly position the muscles, nerves and veins into the holes specially deisgned for them.

Same as with previous eye, Imeri used her tools to carefully psotion everything into the place, ensuring that everything was set into the place before tapping the eye again and allowing it to slowly close itself and secure everything in right position. Afrer inspecting the effect and making last check that everything was set in right positon Imeri grabbed the retractor and slowly returned the skin back to its original place.

She then rested the retractor near the rest of her tools and grabbed very same piece of metal that she used to seal the incision around previous eye, slowly repeating the process by heating portion of the metal with her fire magic before pressing it against the cut and slowly sealing it. Once she was done she rested the metal near rest of her tools and dipped her finger in healing salve, slowly smearng it against the sealed cut.

Straight after she grabbed clean piece of cloth and cleaned both, her hand and excessive amount of salve from around the eye. Once she was done and was satisfied with her result, witch grabbed roll of clean bandages, slowly warping them around Varelines eyes, securing them from any possible infections and giving them time to slowly heal. She was finally done, after hours of complicated surgery, faintly waving her hands adn disspelling the flames that hovered above Vareline.

She was exhusted and drained, mantaining multiple magical sources of light for hours wasn't an easy. She leaned against the table and looked at the others, grunting quietly and panting before speaking  "Mind...any of you giving me a hand and moving Vareline to one of the beds please?...That and letting me lean against one of you, please? I am exhusted... she said faintly though with partial happines in her voice.

Kaiza had been dosing off for the past few minutes, maybe even more, he had little to no sleep although he had been relaxing much, it was odd. He missed most of imeri's procedure. He'd look over to see that the first eye had been inserted or at least it looked so. It seemed complicated and very complex, he kept his distance and observed every second from now on until hearing that she may need a little assistance.

He'd give a small smile, not that she would be able to see it under his facemask, but he still gave one. He then gently lifted Vareline from the table with gravity magic along with giving her a slight gravitational pull so that her clothes would stay put on her body. He the placed a hand around Imeri's waist letting her lean on him as he started making his way to the steps.

"That was impressive Imeri, you did well, extremely well." he said as they made their way out of the cellar and into the living room. He then walked upstair with Vareline still levitating before placing her in a bed in one of the guest rooms so that she may rest peacefully before he returned to the others downstairs in the living room.

"So, that seemed to have gone well." he'd say as he pulled his facemask down twith a warm smile aimed at the others.
