>Morgan Katarn is dead and his son Kyle wants answers, so he goes to Nar Shaddaa to retrieve an information disc from a droid bounty hunter called 8T-88

>The droid informs him a fallen Jedi and former Sith Inquisitor called Jerec was responsible for his father's death because he was looking for a place called the Valley of the Jedi Morgan knew about. He then turns on Kyle and steals the disc. Kyle chases him all across the place until he reaches the hangar, where Kyle manages to shoot the droid's head off and take the disc

>Jerec is displeased with 8T-88's failure and commands his other fallen Jedi to start scouring the galaxy for information on the Valley of the Jedi

>Kyle goes back to his homeplanet, Sulon, and uses the disc on his old droid WG-97, where a holorecording of his father informs him he left two gifts for his son, an old lightsaber that belonged to a Jedi friend of Morgan's and a map to the Valley of the Jedi

>Kyle takes the lightsaber and starts training with it over the course of months as he discovers his affinity with the Force

>Meanwhile, Jerec found out where Kyle and the map were and sends his Imperial forces after him. Kyle fights them off and even faces his first Force sensitive opponent, Yun, whom he spares, but in the scuffle Jerec's forces escape with the map (also Yun is different in this version visually speaking, he wears a hood and has some tattoos on his arms, oh, and all the "Dark Jedi" have red lightsabers now except for Jerec, ironically enough)

>Kyle and Jan follow Jerec's forces undetected and sneak in a fuel station where Jerec's ship was docked

>Kyle fights Pic, a Kowakian monkey lizard, and Gorc, a Gamorrean, both apprentices of Jerec, and manages to defeat them by the skin of his teeth (there's actually a cool scene –IMO- at the end where Kyle shoots Gorc with his Bryar pistol in the face after Gorc beats him and picks him up)

>After beating them, Kyle finds the map to the Valley and sets off there with Jan

>Arriving in Ruusan, Kyle faces his next opponent, Maw, who isn't some floating chucklefuck in this version but is instead a silent penitent warrior who genuinely believes that Jerec will use the power of the Valley to bring back order and stability to the galaxy

>Kyle beats Maw and spares him until Maw reveals he was the one who killed his father. This drives Kyle over the edge and he strikes down the fallen Jedi

>Jerec and his followers appear with Jan captured and offer Kyle a chance to join him and use the Valley to become more powerful than he could ever imagine, with the caveat that he kill Jan

>Kyle refuses and Jerec Force pushes him and Jan down to their ship, which is being destroyed by Jerec's forces

>Kyle and Jan manage to escape the fallen Moldy Crow and share a kiss before Kyle goes off to find Jerec and the rest but is ambushed by Jerec's three remaining apprentices

>Boc, who is pretty much the same, runs off the meet Jerec while Yun defends Kyle and Sariss (who remains largely unchanged but had a romantic subplot with Yun) kills him for it

>Kyle takes Yun's lightsaber after his was destroyed and fights Sariss with it, he beats her by Force pushing her down a pit after he realized she had much more experience than him

>Kyle follows Boc's trail and finds him in the doors of the Valley. They fight in a very trippy fight scene and Kyle kills him

>Kyle then faces Jerec, former Jedi Knight and Sith Inquisitor, who still wields his blue lightsaber just to demonstrate he hasn't lost it since he first built it, while Kyle has Yun's red one (good guy = red, bad guy = blue, reverse poetry?)

>They fight and the Valley's power decides to help Kyle, empowering him and giving him further awareness that allows him to defeat his much more experienced opponent

>Jan meets up with Kyle after Jerec dies and they build a statue in honor of Kyle's father

>Qu Rahn can go fuck himself lol

>Then Luke mothereffin' Skywalker shows up and offers Kyle the chance to train him

>Kyle accepts
