MoaR Session 4

<Cliven> [And so a large amount of time pass, about 19 hours or so.... you girls near your destination, the heat circulating through the plane is sweltering. Even Cliven himself is breaking a sweat, well at least you know you're near the place now... but the fun's only begun!]
* [Rut]Janie is asleep, drooling onto her armrest.
* [par]Nafrit is still reading through her books, searching feverishly for something
* Cliven gets up and stretches after such an ardous ride.. bones crack and misplace themselves, but eventually feels better himself.
* Lynette wakes up from the disturbance; she rubs her eyes a couple times and takes a look around.
<Lynette> It time yet...?
* Cliven goes around and checks all the parachutes..hmm.. good good and then the supplies for each of the girls to carry.
* [Rut]Janie twitches as she lets out a tiny little snore -- so slight, it sounds more like a snort.
* [BNS]Mina is making her final checks on all her equipment
* Cliven nudges whoever's asleep to wake up soon.
* [par]Nafrit slaps her book closed loudly
<[par]Nafrit>  Ready
* [GM]Maryn only nods off every now and then as she makes an "ok" symbol.
<Cliven> Everyone who's awake, please select a knapsack from the corner over there, it contains all of our supplies for this trip and hereforth.
* [par]Nafrit nods and selects one
<Cliven> Mina, yours is the one over there, I trust you to be carrying all of my important documents and equipments.
<[Rut]Janie> Ngmm...
<[Rut]Janie> Whaa... are we there yet?
* [Rut]Janie rubs her eyes.
* [BNS]Mina grabs one and lines up
<Cliven> We will be shortly, so please wake up or you'll be left behind.
* [Zem]Yumi makes sure to check her parachute.
* [Zem]Yumi grabs a knapsack as well.
* [par]Nafrit starts chanting nonsense under her breath over and over
* Lynette gets up and grabs a parachute, cracking her neck on the way there.
<Cliven> Janie?.. you still need your shots.
<[Rut]Janie> Huh?
* Cliven goes over to Maryn's seat and grabs a needle filled with a clear liquid, presumely vaccine.
<[Rut]Janie> Gee, mister! That looks like it'll hurt!
<Cliven> Only the first 15 seconds, so please hold your arm out.
* [Rut]Janie does.
* Cliven then injects her arm with said liquid.
<[Rut]Janie> Ow!... You were right, mister Cliven...
* Cliven chuckles.
* Lynette puts on a parachute and looks around to finish getting her bearings.
<Cliven> MIster huh?...hehe.. I am getting old.
<[Rut]Janie> Huh? You don't look very old to me, mister Cliven.
<Cliven> Oh now, flattery will get you nowhere with me.
<[Rut]Janie> Well gee, mister Cliven! You're so big, I don't think I could flatter you!
* Cliven bursts out into a hearty laughter.
* [par]Nafrit readies herself and keeps chanting
<Lynette> Sir, what are your instructions for now?
<Cliven> For now, just brace yourself for the drop and pray for a safe landing.
* [par]Nafrit 's chanting to herself becomes louder
<[Rut]Janie> Yes, sir.
* [Rut]Janie starts to pray immediately. Because mister Cliven said so.
* Cliven sighs at Janie.. perhaps too literal...
* [Rut]Janie 's praying starts to overlap and mix with the sound of Nafrit's chant.
* [BNS]Mina grins with anticipation
* Lynette straps in, looking a little nervous.
<Cliven> [The moment of time has come!... the door opens and you see Maryn dash out and leap out already in front of the crew.]
<[GM]Maryn> Hup!

* [par]Nafrit feezes in place
* Lynette looks at Nafrit, her expression suddenly changing.
<Lynette> Well, what's the matter? Looking pale; nervous, are ya?
* [BNS]Mina runs up and dives out the door, going into a perfect nosedive and keeping herself level, just like she was taught
* [Rut]Janie is busy.
<Cliven> Too sharp Min---..oh dear.. this is gonna be bad...
* Cliven looks down... and frowns.
<[Rut]Janie> ...blessed is the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit *mumble*...
<Cliven> Lynette, going?
<[par]Nafrit> "In'kyl Unthal Ia chur'tal In'kyl..."
* Cliven turns to this girl.
* Lynette turns to Cliven.
<Lynette> Ah, right! Sorry, sir!
* Cliven smiles.
<Cliven> Don't worry, it's perfectly safe~
* [BNS]Mina pins her feet and arms to her sides and speeds up, her goggles allowing her to keep her eyes open and enjoy the sensation!
<Lynette> You haven't got to tell me!
* Lynette moves over to the exit and jumps out.
<[Rut]Janie> ... and mama and papa and Fido and Tommy and the nice lady at the orphanage and holocaust survivors and mister Cliven and-- Golly, where did everybody go?
<Cliven> They're alraedy gone Janie, go ahead. I'm jumping after the last one goes.
* [par]Nafrit is still frozen in place
* [BNS]Mina checks her altimeter to see that she's passing 12,000 feet
<Cliven> Wait...
* Cliven walks over and slaps a parachute on Janie.
<Cliven> You ALMOST forgot something nice Janie~
<[Rut]Janie> Yikes! Thanks, mister!
* [Rut]Janie jumps.
<Cliven> Nafrit?
* [Rut]Janie is falliiiiinnngggg~
<[Rut]Janie> ... Okay, now what do I do?
* [BNS]Mina decides to try something Dad told her not to do... but...
* [BNS]Mina puts her arms out and leans back, angling her body upwards and feeling her descent speed slow
* [Rut]Janie is answered only by the wind, and the roar of the plane's engine, growing more and more distant...
* Lynette takes a look around. She can distinguish Maryn and Mina from the landscape, but can't tell which is which.
* [BNS]Mina leans back more and feels her stomach jump as she finds herself flipping upside down and then returns her arms to her side to slide out of the flip and resume her nose dive
<[Rut]Janie> ... Hmm... I know I was supposed to do something.
* [BNS]Mina checks her altimeter... 8,000 feet
<[BNS]Mina> o O (Dad said pull my parachute at 4,000 feet...)
* [Rut]Janie sees a dot below her. Mina.
* [par]Nafrit is still frozen in place chanting loudly to herself
<[Rut]Janie> ... Hey, I know! Mina sure seemed swell earlier. I should ask her!
* Cliven sighs and boots her out with a push, but not before taking her book from her hands if its still there.
<Cliven> Off you go~
* [Rut]Janie does... the Australian Crawl, apparently. Straight down. She latches onto Mina's back.
<[BNS]Mina> !!!
<[BNS]Mina> H-hey! What!!
* [par]Nafrit screams as she's kicked out of the plane
* [BNS]Mina looks back to see Janie on her back
<[Rut]Janie> Heeey, Mina! I think I forgot something, but I sure can't remember what!
* [BNS]Mina sees Janie's lips moving but can't hear anything from the wind speed
* [BNS]Mina checks her altimeter, 6,000 feet
<[Rut]Janie> What are we-- I SAID WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO AFTER WE JUMP? MISTER CLIVEN IS GONNA BE AWFUL MAD IF I FORGET SOMETHING IMPORTANT, AND--
* [Rut]Janie chatters on, loudly.
* [BNS]Mina barely hears something....
<[BNS]Mina> o O (Something about Jumping and being mad about something important?)
* Lynette hears something from above, but doesn't break her concentration. Focus... focus...
* [Zem]Yumi leaps, ready for anything.
 Cliven hops after Yavi.
* [par]Nafrit eventually comes to her sences and pulls the chute. She lands in a clearing
* [BNS]Mina checks the altimeter... 4,000 feet! Time to pull the chute!
* [BNS]Mina tries to get Janie off of her
<[BNS]Mina> Y.. .av. t. l.. g.!!
* [GM]Maryn lands without a hitch nearby and begins to set up a small marking zone for landing just in case as she waves at the little scraming dots in the sky.
* Lynette calculates and opens her chute based on Mina's move, steering towards the newly marked landing zone. As she does so, she keeps a close eye on Mina and Janie's new situation.
<[Rut]Janie> WHAAAAT? I CAN'T HEAR YOU! GEE WILLIKERS, THE WIND SURE IS LOUD! I THINK I HAVE SOME EARPLUGS IN MY BAG-- WAH!
* [Rut]Janie reaches back, trying to dig through her pack, and releases her chute. She is shunted away by the sudden loss of velocity.
* [BNS]Mina stablizes herself before pulling her chute...
* [Zem]Yumi is busy keeping an eye on the others, and not enough on herself.
* Lynette goes back to focusing on landing, doing her best to go to the zone. She misses as she can't steer fast enough, and gets caught on a tree just above the ground.
* [GM]Maryn sighs and cuts the branch down for Lynette.
* [Zem]Yumi pulls the chute, but lands in a tree due to a sudden gust of wind.
* [BNS]Mina misses the clearing due to not pulling her chute early enough and lands in a tree about 1/8 mile away from the landing zone
* Cliven floats down gently unlike the others and sees the others stuck on trees..
* Lynette drops to the ground and manages to land on her feet; she loses her balance and stumbles, running right into Maryn as she completes her fall.
<[GM]Maryn> ooof---
<[Zem]Yumi> "Argh.  Three times I have parachuted, and each time, I have landed in a tree."
<[Zem]Yumi> Even when there was only one tree, and it was 300 yards away from the landing site...
* [GM]Maryn is taken down with Lynette..
<[GM]Maryn> ... Are you ok?
<[BNS]Mina> Oh... this is all that silly girl's fault!
* [BNS]Mina fusses as she hangs from the tree about 10 feet up
* [par]Nafrit sits where she landed and waits for the others. She can't think in this heat.
* [Zem]Yumi waits to be rescued.  She knows enough to know that trying to climb down herself could be disastrous.
* Cliven lands a few feet away from Maryn and Lynette.
<[GM]Maryn> Good to see you sir...go take care of the others....please.
<Lynette> ...Sorry... I'm fine. Do you need help with anything?
* Lynette works to get up and off, but stops midway to look at Maryn as she asks.
* [Rut]Janie is fine~!
* [BNS]Mina suddenly remembers the Swiss Army knife she grabbed from the crate!
<[GM]Maryn> ...yes... firstly. Get off of me, will usually do.
* [BNS]Mina pulls it out and starts to cut away at her parachute straps...
* [BNS]Mina leaves a sliver of the strap on the left side then starts to cut the right side
<Lynette> Ah- yes, right away.
<[Rut]Janie> Hum... Gosh, I wish I could remember what mister Cliven said... HEY, MINA!
* [Rut]Janie shouts.
* Cliven smiles and simply nods at the two before situating himself.
<Cliven> [paused for now.]
<[Zem]Yumi> "Can someone get me down from here?"
* UBOA has quit IRC
* Lynette pushes herself off of Maryn, sitting on the ground for a moment before standing up.
<[GM]Maryn> Ahh.. better...
* [GM]Maryn gets up and starts looking for any others.
* Lynette dusts herself off and follows Maryn. Best way to make herself useful.
* [par]Nafrit rests up against her sack oh tomes and loosens her tie
<[par]Nafrit> "Where is everyone?"
* [GM]Maryn turns back to Lynette and stop.
<[GM]Maryn> For now, please get acquainted with your surroundings and rest, you'll need all the energy you can for this expedition.
* [Zem]Yumi is dangling from a tree.
<Lynette> Yes, ma'am, if you say so.
<Cliven> Yumi? I don't see you?
* Cliven looks around.
* Iris` watches the entangled parachuter. o O ( A woman? Here? Unusual. )
* Lynette walks back and sits down again, taking a look around. She gets out of her harness hastily; man, it's hot.
* Iris` looks behind, out of her hiding place, and then back to Mina. o O ( ... They can't be too far behind. I must act. )
<[Zem]Yumi> "I'm in a tree."
<Cliven> Ahh.. hold on a second then.
* Cliven looks up and pulls out his rifle on her.
* Iris` steps out of the brush and stands, staring up towards Mina. She brushes off her ballistic armor, and points her SMG at the girl.
<Iris`> You there!
* [BNS]Mina is spooked as she is finishing her cut and cuts the entire strap, falling to the ground as the other weakened strap snaps under the pressure!
* [BNS]Mina lands on her bum, dazed and confused
<[BNS]Mina> Waah!
* Iris` keeps the gun trained on her, at a distance.
* Cliven takes aim and.... fires then hits the branch sending her down... whoooo...
* Lynette looks at Cliven, then at his target.
<Lynette> Whoo, you spooked me there for a second, sir.
* Iris` gets down the moment she hears the gunshot. She surveys her surroundings before refocusing on Mina.
* [BNS]Mina sits up "Wha, who the heck is that?"
* [BNS]Mina looks over to see a gun pointed in her face.
* Iris` . o O ( ... That couldn't have been them, unless they caught up already... )
<[BNS]Mina> Eep.
* [Zem]Yumi lands hard on the ground. "Urgh... At least I'm down."
* Iris` . o O ( Ah, I have her attention. )
* [Zem]Yumi heads over to Cliven.  "And this isn't the first time you've shot in my direction, either."
<Iris`> Answer me. Who are you with?
<Cliven> Ahh.. my apologies.. are you ok though?
<[Zem]Yumi> "I believe I am."
<[BNS]Mina> Ah- I'm... I'm with my dad... we're archeologists...
<Iris`> Parachuting archeologists?
<[Rut]Janie> MIIINAAA! Where are you??
<[BNS]Mina> Y-yeah... we can't get-
<[BNS]Mina> !!
* Iris` storms over to her.
<Iris`> Do not speak.
* [par]Nafrit groans
<[BNS]Mina> -!
<[par]Nafrit> "Its so humid..."
<Cliven> ...ah.. shit!
<Cliven> Where the hell is Mina?
* Iris` 's expression keeps static.
* Cliven starts panicking.
<Iris`> Who are they?
<Iris`> Your other archaeologists?
* [BNS]Mina nods
* Iris` . o O ( ... She doesn't seem to be lying... )
<[Zem]Yumi> Perhaps we should go look for her.
<Iris`> Get up.
<[Rut]Janie> I lost her.. oh, it's mister Cliven! Um, sorry, I think I forgot something.
* [BNS]Mina stands up slowly
<[Rut]Janie> But hey, that medicine has me feeling fit as a fiddle already! Thanks, Doc!
* [par]Nafrit gets up and walks over to Cliven
* [Rut]Janie starts foaming at the mouth.
* Cliven pats Janie on the head.
<Cliven> Good.
* Iris` speaks as clearly as she can.
<[par]Nafrit>  Can we go inside somewhere now?
<Cliven> Pack up people! We're going to go find Mina!
* Cliven yells out.
* [par]Nafrit frowns
<Iris`> You will walk ten paces ahead of me at all times. March.
* Iris` points roughly in the others' direction with her SMG.
<[BNS]Mina> !
* [Zem]Yumi didn't unpack anything, so she's already ready.
* [BNS]Mina starts walking...
<Lynette> Yes, sir, right away.
<[Rut]Janie> Grft!
* Iris` follows her, keeping a precise distance. She glances over her shoulder on occasion.
* [par]Nafrit grabs her things
* [Rut]Janie responds in the affirmative, sending some foam forward.
<Cliven> Do you know what direction she fell in Janie?
<[Rut]Janie> I dunno.
* Iris` interrogates her hostage while walking.
* [GM]Maryn nods and goes ahead in front.
<Iris`> Tell me. You airlifted here; Do you have money?
* [BNS]Mina shakes her head no, she has no money on her.
<Iris`> Let me rephrase.
<Iris`> Is your group rich?
* Iris` . o O ( They often aren't, but... )
* Cliven reloads and goes on ahead.
* [BNS]Mina shakes her head no again
<Cliven> Be ready for anything girls. I'll be relying on you now.
<Iris`> You're lying.
* [BNS]Mina shakes her head vehemently
<Iris`> You're lying even more, now.
* [BNS]Mina is trembling now
<[GM]Maryn> !!
<Iris`> A tip, kid: Only lie when it's not obvious.
* [GM]Maryn hides behinds a tree.. ready to attack..
<Iris`> Stop.
* [BNS]Mina halts
<[Rut]Janie> I'll scout ahead!
<Cliven> Stay back Janie.
* [Rut]Janie suddenly charges forward through the trees, blindly!
* Cliven holds his hand out.
<Cliven> ....
<Iris`> One of your group is here.
* Iris` speaks to the area surrounding her.
* [par]Nafrit huffs with all her gear on her back
* Lynette pulls her rifle out of her pack and screws in the barrel; she takes up a sitting position and loads it, looking around to see if something's coming.
<Iris`> Don't try anything, I have a perfect shot and an automatic weapon.
<[par]Nafrit>  can we stop now
<Iris`> You can shoot me, but she will die, too.
<Iris`> So come out and negotiate.
* Iris` walks to within five paces of Mina, keeping her weapon ready.
* [Rut]Janie runs into the clearing where Iris and Mina are! LEEROOOOY--
<[BNS]Mina> o O (Oh god it's her, I'm dead...)
<[Rut]Janie> --Oh, howdy, Mina!
* [Rut]Janie keeps running towards her friend, not noticing the girl holding her up.
* [Zem]Yumi follows close to Cliven, no apparent weapon in hand.
<Iris`> What?
* Maryn tosses a knife and charges with almost blindingly fast speed.
<Maryn> Die.
* Lynette stands and rushes to where the others are, hanging back and keeping her rifle steady.
* Iris` tries to whirl around and fire! He sprays bullets towards Maryn's hiding place, but is too late to hit her.
<[Rut]Janie> [Aaah! D-don't use bad words like that, Maryn!]
<[GM]Maryn> ...kids...
* [BNS]Mina screams and ducks, her arms covering her head!
* [GM]Maryn is face to face with Iris now.
<[Rut]Janie> Huh? W-what was that? Oh, hello, I'm Janie. Nice to meetcha!
* [Rut]Janie waves to Iris.
* [GM]Maryn yanks the gun away and declips it before tosses it out.
<[GM]Maryn> Guns are bad.
<[Rut]Janie> They sure are!
* Iris` speaks, calm.
* Lynette moves into sight to discourage Iris from trying anything, keeping her rifle trained at the center of Iris' head.
<[GM]Maryn> Mina. Out. Go.
<[GM]Maryn> Get the others.
* [BNS]Mina runs back towards her father!
<Iris`> Knives are good.
* Iris` draws and attempts to stab Maryn with her combat knife in the same motion!
<[Rut]Janie> Ack!
* [Zem]Yumi tries to help Maryn by stopping the blade with magic power!
* [GM]Maryn stands still, it does indeed stab her.. hand that is.
* [Rut]Janie bumps shoulders with Mina as she flees! She loses her balance, dropping below Iris. Iris's foot catches on Janie's side mid-step.
<[Rut]Janie> Oof!
<Cliven>  Down everyone..
* Cliven getts on the floor and takes aim... his facial expression changes.
* Iris` stumbles and her knife misses its target, instead impaling Maryn's hand.
<[GM]Maryn> ...is that all you got?
* [GM]Maryn is certainly bleeding but she doesn't act like it.
* Lynette 's eyes fix on Maryn's hand; she blinks hard a few times.
* Iris` smirks the slightest bit.
<Iris`> That'll leave a good scar.
* [Rut]Janie gasps. Maryn's blood falls beside her head as she lays on the ground.
<[Rut]Janie> Oh, no, blood!
* [GM]Maryn left hooks Iris in the face sending her back an feet or two.
<[GM]Maryn> [The knife s removed in the process as well... but there's a gaping whole in her hand now.]
* Lynette fires, but the distraction of the blood and the recoil of the weapon ruin her aim. The shot grazes Iris but doesn't make a direct hit.
* Lynette smiles lightly, taking two steps closer.
* [Zem]Yumi has a sword out, but doesn't want to risk stabbing the wrong person.
<Cliven> Back away.. NOW!
* Cliven takes aim at Iris.
* Iris` is promptly smashed in the face and left with a nasty bruise. As if that weren't enough, Lynette's shot strikes one plate of her armor, leaving yet another bruise. She drops the knife, and crashes onto her knees. She puts her hands on her head.
<Iris`> that ended too quickly...
* [Rut]Janie gets up.
* Iris` speaks to her general surroundings.
<Iris`> I have no more weapons, and you outmatch me. I surrender.
* Cliven walks over his rifle ready and takes aim..
<[Rut]Janie> Gosh, that's... Oh my! Maryn, you're bleeding!
<[GM]Maryn> ...I'm....fine.
* [GM]Maryn winces.
<[Rut]Janie> Nuh-uh! You have a hole in your hand!
<Cliven> Why should I?...
* Iris` sits, completely calm. Her voice is dispassionate.
<Lynette> Okay, keep... your arms up. Hands where we... can see... them.
* Lynette blinks hard a few more times. She tries hard to keep focused.
<Iris`> Because you're some mr. moneybags who went on a dig for some adventure.
* Cliven 's face is a completely demeanor now, its quite cold.
* [Rut]Janie takes Maryn's hand, careful not to disturb the wound. She cradles it, concerned.
<Iris`> And the adventure here might be too much for you, if you're not prepared...
* [GM]Maryn sighs..
<[GM]Maryn> Fine.. I'm hurt... but lets go back to the landing site, I left my kit over there.
<[Rut]Janie> We should get a band aid. No, wait, two band aids!
* [par]Nafrit pants for breath as she lugs her stuff with her to where the others are. Buttons are undone on her shirt and its soaked with sweat.
<[par]Nafrit>  Where is a fan?
<Cliven> I've been around the world more times than you've lived girl.
* Cliven is pointblank now.
<Iris`> Maybe.
<[par]Nafrit>  That grammar didn't make sense...
<Iris`> But I still know more about this dig site and its dangers than you.
<Cliven> What dig site? I don't care for a dig site....
* Iris` continues to speak as if uninterested.
<Cliven> I cared because you've put my daughter at risk.
<Iris`> She wasn't in any real danger. I just needed a bargaining chip.
<Iris`> If I was one of the barbarians around here, she'd already be dead.
<Cliven> And is more than enough reason for me to kill you for using her as a hostage.
<Cliven> I suggest you start apologzing.
<Iris`> Sorry.
* Iris` 's tone doesn't change in the slightest.
<Cliven> Not to me.
<Cliven> To her.
* [BNS]Mina is off to the side, still shaking
* Cliven motions to the girl who you've taken to hostage and Maryn.
<Iris`> Right.
* Iris` meets the girl's eyes with her own red irises.
<Iris`> Sorry, girl; I know what it's like to be a hostage. Not fun.
* [BNS]Mina turns away from Iris, not responding
<Iris`> I wasn't even kind enough to get your name.
<[BNS]Mina> ...
* Cliven keeps the rifle on Iris's head.
* [Zem]Yumi whispers to Cliven, "How do we find out how much she knows about why we're here?"
* [GM]Maryn returns the favor." Conjectures, nothing more, nothing less."
<Cliven> [Dammit Maryn!]
<Iris`> Once more, kid: Sorry. At least you probably won't see my head explode if that's what your dad chooses.
* [par]Nafrit pulls out some rope for climbing out of her pack and walks up to Cliven
<[par]Nafrit>  This seems like it will take a while.  This will hold longer then your arms with that large weapon.
<Cliven> Don't need to, bind her instead.
* [Rut]Janie is attempting to bandage Maryn's hand. She isn't doing a good job, but looks utterly focused on helping.
<[GM]Maryn> ....thanks...
* [GM]Maryn looks down at her mess of blood and bandages.
* [par]Nafrit takes that as a go ahead to use the rope and begins to tie the assailant if nothing interferes
* [Zem]Yumi starts tying up Iris.
* [GM]Maryn smiles slightly if any at all at Janie.
* Iris` actually helps with the process by moving her limbs to the proper locations.
* Lynette lowers her weapon so as to not threaten her companions, but keeps it ready just in case.
<Cliven> Bring her back to sight, Lynette and Yumi. Keep an eye on her.. if she moves. Shoot to kill.
<Lynette> Right.
* Iris` starts some idle talk, though her demeanor remains cold.
<Iris`> I know when I'm beat.
* Iris` addresses Yumi.
<Cliven> Actually.. since you have the gun Lynette, stay back.
<Iris`> So, captor: What's your name?
<[par]Nafrit>  Can we go to a place where I don't feel like I'm dying now?
<Cliven> As soon as we find that ruins.
* Cliven looks away.
<[par]Nafrit>  Its close right?
<Cliven> I'm.. not sure.. but firstly...
<Cliven> Mina.. are you ok?
* Lynette steps back, keeping her eyes on Iris. Can't be too careful...
* [BNS]Mina bites her lip and looks down at her feet
* Iris` looks over in Mina's direction.
<Iris`> ah, so that's your name...
<[BNS]Mina> Is... is this what adventuring is really like?
<[Zem]Yumi> "I am Yumi."
<Cliven> ...some of it.. yes.
* Iris` looks back to the one who tied her.
* Cliven walks over and slings the rifle over his shoulder.
* [Rut]Janie knots the bandage, nodding to herself. She turns to Mina.
<Iris`> Ah, good to know. I'm Iris.
* [GM]Maryn pats Janie on the head.
<[GM]Maryn> Not bad girl.. not bad at all.
* [BNS]Mina has her arms wrapped around herself, trying to stop trembling
<[Rut]Janie> Thank you, but... I gotta go.
* [Rut]Janie approaches Mina.
<Lynette> Iris... is it...
<[Rut]Janie> ... H-hey, buck up, ma'am!
* Cliven hugs Mina tightly.
* [BNS]Mina manages to calm down a little...
<[par]Nafrit>  Which direction are we heading now?
<Cliven>  I'm sorry Mina... I really am but, I'll do whatever I can to keep this from happening again.
<[Zem]Yumi> "Should we take Iris back to our camp, or leave her here?"
<Cliven> Bring her back, come before she attracts more trouble.
<Iris`> I'm not a threat anymore, despite what you may think.
<[par]Nafrit>  Tied up in this jungle?  There are few worse fates.
* Cliven pats Mina on the head and gives it a light kiss.
* [BNS]Mina stands up a bit taller and nods at Cliven
<[BNS]Mina> ...I'll be alright.
<Cliven>  Be a strong girl ok?
* [BNS]Mina nods again
<Cliven> That's the spirit.
* Cliven lets go and starts walking.
<Cliven> Lets find that ruins before night falls and we're forced to make camp outside.
<Lynette> Yes, sir. Will someone get this girl's legs?
<Iris`> I'll walk, if you'll let me.
* Iris` eyes Lynette's gun.
* [BNS]Mina follows after Cliven and picks up her gear
* [Zem]Yumi picks up Iris's legs.
<Iris`> You could easily put me down with that if I tried to run, anyway.
<[Zem]Yumi> I don't think we'll let you, just to be sure.
* Lynette unscrews the barrel of her weapon and packs it up; she grabs Iris by the arms, just under the shoulders.
<Iris`> Are you sure you want to tire yourself out, Yumi?
* Iris` looks back towards Lynette, but knows no name to address her by.
* [par]Nafrit starts walking with ehr things
<Iris`> Of course no one listens to the prisoner...
<Cliven> hmm... If I recall.. its.. about...two miles north here... then....
<Iris`> Not even when there are some safe ruins nearby.
<Lynette> Hm~? I hope you won't mind repeating that more loudly.
<Iris`> Free ride for me, then.
* Iris` relaxes as best she can: becoming dead weight.
<Iris`> What do you think I said?
* [Zem]Yumi grabs Iris by the legs.
<Lynette> Truth is I couldn't hear. This happens to be a problem. Care to repeat it?
* Cliven turns to Mina as they walk back to the others at the landing site.
<Cliven> What do you feel like eating tonight?
* Iris` disregards Lynette, if only for a moment. o O ( Important things first, then... )
<Iris`> Oi, moneybags.
<Iris`> I don't know your name, but I do know camping in the open will get you killed.
<[BNS]Mina> Umm...
<[BNS]Mina> I'm not actually sure what we brought...
* Iris` looks back towards Lynette.
* [BNS]Mina walks over and rummages through the supply packs
<Iris`> And I just mentioned some nearby ruins.
<Cliven> I'm well aware of that, why do you think I'm so insiste----oh you said ruins?...
* Iris` maintains her dispassionate tone.
<Iris`> Yes, ruins. The type that won't get you killed if you set up a campfire.
<Cliven> ...perhaps we might have use for you then...I strongly suggest you notify me now.
* [GM]Maryn is back at the site with Nafrit, with a bit more prepared bandage this time.
<[par]Nafrit>  I'd rather be in the deserts of Arabia.  At least I can hide from the sun.  But this humidity...
<[GM]Maryn> I feel for you.. at least you're not in a frilly maid outfit..
* [GM]Maryn sighs.
<[par]Nafrit>  He should have told us to dress for this heat
<Iris`> I'm flattered you people are carrying me, but it'd probably be better if I could walk and lead you there myself.
* [par]Nafrit undoes another button on her shirt
<[Zem]Yumi> "I imagine one of the conditions you set on leading us to the ruins will be us enlarging you."
* [BNS]Mina fishes out some unlabeled cans from the packs
<[BNS]Mina> Umm... dad?
<[BNS]Mina> No one... labeled these...
<[BNS]Mina> ...
* [BNS]Mina pulls out her swiss-army knife and opens one of the cans...
* [BNS]Mina nervously opens it...
<Cliven> [Its....fruits~]
<Cliven> [Mandarian Oranges.]
<[BNS]Mina> ...oranges?
<Iris`> Enlarging? If you mean letting me down, I just said it.
<Cliven> Oranges.
<[BNS]Mina> Is it /all/ oranges?
<[BNS]Mina> I can't cook oranges!
<Cliven> No no.. that one particularly is oranges.
<Cliven> Guess they forgot to label them when I bought em.
* Iris` glances at Mina. o O ( Hm. Good she's taking this well. )
<Cliven> Ohh.. they're over here.
* Cliven points to the extra sack over there, it contains assorted amount of dried meat and any seasoning you desier.
<Iris`> [=-= desire ]
<[GM]Maryn> [righto]
<Cliven> Let her down but don't let her hands go free.
* Cliven answers to the others.
<Lynette> Yes, right away.
<[Zem]Yumi> "I shall walk beside Iris and help her keep her balance with her hands tied up."
* Lynette shifts her hands so they'll be upright once Yumi lets go of Iris' legs.
* [GM]Maryn peers at Iris for a moment before readying herself again.
* Iris` glances back at Maryn.
* [GM]Maryn smirks for a moment before walking up to the others.
* Lynette nervously eyes Maryn's bandaged hand.
* Iris` almost remarks about the wound, but thinks better of it. o O ( It's not /that/ good of one. )
* [Zem]Yumi lets Iris's legs down to the ground.
<Cliven> Well, show the way then. If you're wrong, consider your grey matter all over the floor.
<Lynette> Would you like me to keep my weapon drawn, sir?
<Cliven> Yes.
* Lynette nods, unpacking her rifle and reassembling it.
<Cliven> If it becomes a burden, please let me know and I'll switch.
<Cliven> You can eat that can of Orange along the way Mina, we gotta go now.
<Iris`> Whatever makes you feel safe.
