  1. The biggest metropolis in the world
  2. -Tokyo- writen by Marco
  3. Tokyo is Japan´s capital and known to be the most populous metropolis in the whole world. With a population of around 14.000.000 people and being the tenth biggest city in the world its very attractive to tourists so I decided to go there and to write a travel report about Tokyo. Ready for a tour through the biggest metropolis in the world ?
  4. During my trip I decided to stay in one of the most famous hotels in Tokyo , the Shangri-La hotel. The staff was very courteous and the food was delicious so I can highly recommend that hotel. Without any further hesitation let´s start out with our first stop

  7. Tokyo´s historical aspects and the Asakura
  8. Tokyo offers you much more then just museums if you want to know something about the history of Tokyo. The city´s history can be appreciated in serveral districts which leads us to my first stop , the most famous cultural district in Japan the “Asakura“. The Asakura offers you a lot of historical museums and sights. The main attraction where I have been to was the Sensoji which is a very popular Buddhist temple. There were several more historical sights like some temples and gardens. Asakura can easily be explored on foot. Alternatively, you can consider a guided tour on a rickshaw like I did it. A 30 minute long tour did cost me around 9000 Yen. For me Tokyo´s history is just breathtaking so I can highly recommend you to visit the Asakura.
  9. Tokyo´s city life
  10. “Tokyo is the best city in the world“ Thats a statement many people who have been there can agree on. Not only because of its seemingly unlimited choice of shopping , entertainment and culture but also because of the exciting city life. Another aspect that supports that statement are the sights. The sights offer something for everyone. For example if you are into manga , anime and videogames you should definitly visit Akihabara and if you need a break from the city life you should go to the Meiji Shrine and the area around. Anyways on my second day in Tokyo I decided to check if this statement is applicable. While walking around in serveral shopping streets of Tokyo I stumbled across my next stop of the tour the “ Shibuya crossing“. It is also the most famous crossing in the world. It was quite tough to reach the other side but I somehow made it ! After a little bit of window shopping I wanted to experience the famous nightlife of Tokyo. So I asked a few local people where I should go. All of them said “If you want to see the nightlife of Tokyo at its best you should go to Kabukicho , Shinjuku“. As soon as I reached the Shinjuku district I was flashed by all the notorious red lights. As my last stop I have chosen the “Robot restaurant“. The Robot restaurant is an incredible 90- Minute experience with robots, tanks and fighters. Robot restaurant has garnered immense popularity from overseas tourists . It is opened everyday from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM and it costs 8000Yen for adults. The Robot restaurant made my night very enjoyable and the food was delicious so I can recommend that restaurant and the district. I can also agree on the statement we have talked about before . Tokyo is the best city in the world and a very nice place to visit.
