  1. Palom/Porom Mimic Glitch (also known as the TrashCan Glitch):
  2. Full Explanation: https://goo.gl/P9QQD2
  3. Demonstration: https://www.twitch.tv/the_roth/v/29183006
  4.
  5. This glitch works on the Japanese SFC and English SNES 1.0 versions of FF4, and was first used by pirohiko in his TAS (http://tasvideos.org/4198S.html).
  6.
  7. Normally when you use the 'Twin' (ふたりがけ) command with Palom (パロム) or Porom (ポロム), the game will cause the other twin to mimic the same action (casting either the Flare (プチフレア) or Comet (プチメテオ) spell). However, once the 'Twin' action is selected by a twin, if that 1st twin is killed right as the 2nd twin begin mimicking, the 2nd twin will become stuck in that mimicking state and begin copying actions by other party members (doing the same action and same target).
  8.
  9. With the right setup (which involves having Cecil change positions of items in the Item menu, and then get killed or Stopped), this glitch can cause Palom or Porom to use items like the TrashCan (ゴミばこ) or Carrot (ギサールの野菜). Because those items cannot normally be used in battle, doing that will cast spells instead (but without any spell animation). Using the TrashCan will cast Firaga (ファイガ) 8 times, and the Carrot will cast Holy (ホーリー) 8 times, either of which will instantly kill Milon (スカルミリョーネ).
