Idiots Guide To BFA Pet Battle World Quests.

Get Addons:
PetTracker
Battle Pet BreedID
PetBattle Teams

Go to Orgrimmar / Alliance Equivalent
Go to Auction House
Buy all the cheap level 1 Pets you can use for Pet Battles, focusing on a variety of types, but honestly the greater the pool of level 1s, the better
Collect them and right click in your bag to add to your Pet Journal (Shift+P and then pet tab)

Ask guard about Pet Battle Trainer
Check Map and go to him (now flagged)
Pickup skill to become Pet Battle Trainer
Complete his quests to learn the basics

The quest chain will lead you to fight trainers of increasing difficulty.
Like Pokemon, if you are fighting a new critter you haven't caught before, aim to capture it.
You ideally want to capture a large variety of level 1 Pets with different types to complement your AH purchases.

When fighting the trainers for the quest use the correct type counters

Zunta – Durotar
Quickteam List – Minimum Level 2 Mechanical, Beast
Pet 1: Spike – Level 2 Beast – Use Mechanical
Pet 2: Mumtar – Level 2 Critter – Use Beast

Dagra the Fierce – Northern Barrens
Quickteam List – Minimum Level 3 Mechanical, Beast
Pet 1: Springtail - Level 3 Critter – Use Beast
Pet 2: Ripper – Level 3 Beast – Use Mechanical
Pet 3: Longneck – Level 3 Beast – Use Mechanical

Once you have a level 5 Pet you will unlock the 3rd pet slot.
Now you can go back to BFA World Quests

There are two types of pet battles: vs trainers and vs strong pets
The battles against strong pets are ALWAYS level 25, you cannot vs them for now
The battles against trainers SCALE with your PARTY level.

NOTE: If you are unsure if it is a trainer or strong pet battle, search wowhead for the quest and NPC name

Using your addons to see which TYPE their pets are, pick a team of 3 level 1 pets designed to counter their type.

These battles should be super simple and easy with level 1s and TYPE counters.

Once you have earned 60 Polished Pet Charms from WQ rewards (may also be possible from mob drops, google it)
Purchase a Ultimate Battle-Training Stone from a vendor (Koari <Pet Supplies> for Horde is an example)

Now you can boost a pet to level 25.
Summon the pet, right click the stone and then left click the summoned pet in the world

Now that you have your first 25, you can purchase level 25 pets from the auction house.
From here you can build up your own teams to counter the level 25 beasts from world quests.

When you have level 25 teams that consistently counter that world quest, use the addon to save your team for use next time that world quest comes up.
