  27. "It's the "Soundtracks For The Blind" of Vocaloid. A concept album based on the exploring the theme of Existential Crisis and the inevitable death of an Idol. Super loving good." - anon

  35. "This is a really loving weird album. I dont know how I can describe this well to you without making you raise an eyebrow. Firstly, there is Hatsune Miku in this album, but not in the way you would expect. You see, there are songs that do use Miku, but she sings the same thing over and over for all of the songs that Miku appears in. It gets better, too. Every time Miku sings, something completely different happens to both Miku and the song. It's almost like the producer was trying to reinvent the same song 4 times over. Is that not enough for you? well you're in luck, because this dude is pulling all the stops when it comes to making quite an unusual experience. There's this other singer whom I was presume to be the producer himself. He has such a very...odd way of singing. I can't quite put my finger on it. He sounds like this fat, desperate and lonely otaku who just can't quite sing too well. Did I forget to mention that it's also REALLY lo-fi? Yet somehow, SOMEHOW this singing just works. I suppose it has a lot to the very dizzying atmosphere, almost too neo-psychedelic like. There's also sparse use of sampling to be found in the album as well that help add to the imagination. As for the lyrics and themes, I don't quite know what they are. However, I have a hunch that these songs are reminiscent of insane and obsessive nature of Otakus and their desire for their idols. I would go as far as to say that this is the "Not Available" of Vocaloid. If you're into experimental stuff, do give this album a try." - anon

  50. specters
  51. https://vocadb.net/Al/28195
  52. "imo, this album is really, really good for a western release. not going to lie. this is coming from someone whose heard plenty of death grips, swans, /mu/core poo poo, and of course a bunch of vocaloid music.
  53.
  54. the concept is well illustrated, but not entirely. the tuning is amazing, and the production is ace. It's a cold, dark, apocalyptic, and conscious album. it's got synth pop/art pop sounds with neo-soul influences. It's as if lupin may have taken some notes from frank ocean.
  55.
  56. The themes and lyrics are what really makes or breaks this album for most people. Linkin Park Teenage Angst level of lyricism is the best way that i can describe it. It has that very pessimistic, rebellious tone that is commonly found in most western vocaloid music. The lyrics are rather direct, concrete, and may feel a bit repetitive yet carry some emotional weight to them. lupin seems to pull this sort of thing off better than most producers out there when compared to other albums like Crusher's Concientia and CircusP's 715. Regardless, the lyrics could definitely use some polishing.
  57.
  58. themes include but not limited to Alienation, Mass Shooting, Living an uninteresting life, and Loss.
  59.
  60. besides the lyrics, the other things that i might be a bit critical of is how well expressed the concept is and the singing from lupin. I got no problems when producers themselves sing, but when he sings with Dex on the song "empty", you can suddenly tell how vastly different a vocaloid voice is from a real singing voice. that sudden and startling difference can possibly be a bit off putting for people. If a vocaloid voice doesn't have a real voice to be compared to in a song, it just somehow sounds tolerable and enjoyable. This just applies to english vocaloid voice banks.
  61.
  62. it's a solid 4/5 from me. If you can look past the lyrics, you're in for a treat. In a way, specters gives me hope of better western vocaloid music for once." - anon
