i cant stop thinking about akira in solitary confinement.. akira having a hard time adjusting back to life at home, swinging between agoraphobia and claustrophobia, the sense of finality and freedom poisoned by the paranoia of it all happening again, of something going wrong

futaba coaxing him outside of his walls with kindness and patience like he had done for her;
yusuke encouraging him to paint his feelings, externalize and validate his experiences;
ann sitting silently beside him when feelings are too much for words, the same way she would with shiho;
ryuji's seemingly tactless distractions, peppered with significant glances and promises to stick by him, even if it gets weird, 'cause that's what friends do y'know?;
makoto, strong and steady, always ready to remind him that he isn't to blame, never was, and to keep his light of justice burning no matter the opposition;
haru finding that there's just enough sunlight to grow a small flowerpot in the windowsill, a reminder that love and nurture don't need to be taught, that those who have been hurt aren't destined to hurt others;
morgana's gentle pressure and warmth at night, or during the day, or any time his memories cloud his eyes and draw him away from the present
everyone being there for their leader in their own ways, and every way being exactly what he needs
