  1. Message 5: Pursuit
  2.
  3. [Recording fades into static]
  4. [Rapid footsteps and heavyish breathing]
  5. [A little breathless, a little nervous]
  6.
  7. Oh, hey guys. You're back. I'm sorry, I have no fucking idea what's going on with the recorder. I can't get it to turn on, sometimes it just turns on by itself and turns off by itself. *breathless laugh* But why should anything make sense here, right? Probably it's just a fever dream as my brain shuts down. None of this is real. [Shouted] You hear me dickbag? None of this is real!
  8.
  9. [angry and a bit irrational]
  10.
  11. Ahem. So. I was minding my own business, taking a bath, and I got attacked by, I dunno, an octopus or a squid or some fucking Cthulu motherfucker. I dunno. I didn't ask for a name. I lost half my clothes getting away. It didn't chase me much further than the water, so as soon as I sat down to get clothes on my naked ass body and who shows up but the goddamned grey meanie, with his creepy no-face and his big cock. So off I ran again. Luckily he's slow as fuck, so here we are, god knows how many hours later and he's just following me. Maybe a hundred yards away? So that's my day I guess. Speedwalking away from giant horny terminator. How's yours?
  12.
  13. [calming down a bit]
  14.
  15. I'm getting tired. I have no idea how long I've been here, but I haven't slept at all. And I haven't eaten at all. The only water I've got with me is what I can suck out of my clothes, and it's hot enough there's not much of that. I haven't slept, I've barely rested. I have no idea how I'm still on my feet. I'm getting close to one of the forests. Hopefully I can lose the grey meanie in there.
  16.
  17. I can see the mountains much better from down here in the valley. There's a few flat uhhh... mesas? There's a few mesas like the one I came out on. But a lot of them are spindly. Like twisted and narrow and so, so tall. I don't know how they possibly stay up. This would be a hell of a place to visit, if I wasn't stuck here. I'd love to see what's at the top. There's a shadow. That cloud shadow from before. It's been coming towards me since I started walking. Brrr. It scares me more than Mr. No-Face, if I'm being honest. *nervous laugh* I know that's crazy. I just feel like if I fall under that shadow, I'll never get back out of it. Like it would engulf me and swallow me whole.
  18.
  19. [heavy footsteps close behind]
  20.
  21. Gah! How? He's so close!
  22.
  23. [running footsteps through tall grass]
  24.
  25. God, he's right behind me. Stupid, stupid, stupid! Did I slow down? Do I want to die? *panicked laugh* The shadow's moving faster too. What's with this fucking place! Stay with me guys! Don't let me die alone! We're going to make the forest and it's going to be okay. It's going to be okay! Five hundred feet. Four hundred! Ohgodohgodohgod! I don't want this! I'm a podcaster, not an athlete!
  26.
  27. [heavy, ragged breathing, occasional whimpers]
  28. [crashing though underbrush]
  29. [lasts for 15-30 seconds]
  30.
  31. [Whispered]
  32.
  33. Okay, we got in and behind a tree. I can't... hear him. I'm not sure how he can sense things. We might be safe. [sobbed] God, I hope we're safe! I’m just… I’m just gonna look out for a second. *sharp intake of breath* *slow exhale* [whispered] He’s right there. Just… waiting. Totally motionless. Except his cock is throbbing a little. Pulsing… Bouncing… god, why am I telling you this? Why am I fixated on it? It’s so big. It would split me in half! *nervous giggle* I’m just going to back away.
  34.
  35. [walking through underbrush for several seconds]
  36.
  37. [talking very softly] He’s not following. I think… maybe he won’t enter the forest? *long breath out* I think so! God, I’m starving. Something here has got to be edible. I’m not a salad girl, but we could be eating leaves here in a little bit. So let’s go over what I remember from that wilderness survival course at summer camp…
