  1. [13:24] Kofe looked over his shoulder for a moment. No one watching. Good. He leaned onto the table a bit, a devious smile to his lips and an obvious thought in mind.
  2.
  3. "Wanna skip town for a few hours?"
  4.
  5. No promises, no sense of security added, nothing of the sort. Eirene probably had grown to know the Rhoynish by now; his eccentricity was only matched by his honesty.
  6.
  7. "I'll take you anywhere you want."
  8. (Kofe)
  9. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  10.
  11. [13:24] Eirene shakes her head slowly.
  12. (Eirene ras Petrakis)
  13. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  14.
  15. [13:24] Eirene ras Petrakis says, "Guards would prevent my exit."
  16. [13:24] Kofe says, "I know a way out where there's no guards."
  17. [13:26] Eirene ras Petrakis says, "It is certain you do."
  18. [13:26] Kofe says, "Come on, you can't just live your life hiding in fear."
  19. [13:26] Kofe says, "Or rather, in someone else's fear."
  20. [13:29] Eirene ras Petrakis says, "...perhaps you may assist me with a matter, Kofe."
  21. [13:29] Kofe asks, "Yeah?"
  22. [13:30] Eirene ras Petrakis says, "Come."
  23. [13:30] Kofe says, "You'd ask help from an ex con--"
  24. [13:30] Eirene ras Petrakis says, "Your status may be more helpful than expected, here."
  25. [13:30] Kofe says, "Oh, wow."
  26. [13:30] Kofe says, "Using me for my status."
  27. [13:30] Kofe says, "I'm hurt. I thought you liked me for my good words and my pretty face."
  28. [13:51] "You are interesting, Kofe, and are a friend for providing a perspective seldom experienced by myself."
  29.
  30. Leading the bard forth into the castle, she'd take him to her chambers- and gesture for him to sit upon one of the plush chairs, afore setting down in one herself.
  31.
  32. "I have been thinking of late. My brother is now king, and thus my own responsibilities have shifted towards providing advice as- less as royalty, more-so as a sister.
  33.
  34. Yet I find such difficult, lacking worldly knowledge of my own- leaving me unable to adequately advise my brother."
  35.
  36. Giving a quiet sigh, her fingers gently tap afore her form.
  37.
  38. "I have been, or attempting to, acquire equipment and gear within secret, so as to properly defend myself- yet, much to my chagrin, I am...ill-prepared to disguise myself. In previous attempts, I was...easily discerned.
  39.
  40. Thus, I require your expertise. Aid me in developing a disguise with which to mask myself."
  41. (Eirene ras Petrakis)
  42. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  43.
  44. [13:59] When she sat him down in a plush, comfy chair he leaned back and allowed himself to appreciate the room, the place, the... atmosphere, only for his eyes to fall upon the princess who had a request for him in a manner that seemed almost... pressing. He leaned a bit forward, elbows on his knees as he not only takes in the situation, but allows his mind to race. When she first mentionned equipment he was... scared. He barely could get some on his own, let alone have it looked at.
  45.
  46. But a disguise? That. That was when his face lit up. Perhaps it was his tendency to swing in ways few did that had him fearlessly take upon this challenge with glee, or maybe he just thought of it as a service to be done for a friend, but overall?
  47.
  48. "Alright, princess. We'll get you your freedom."
  49.
  50. Oh. He felt so cool saying that. All of it being feelings he already felt, too. An honest sentence. One that was quickly followed by logistics.
  51.
  52. "I assume you've got a bunch of clothes at your disposal, right? With a bit of ripping and reconstructing we'll get somewhere for sure."
  53. (Kofe)
  54. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  55.
  56. [14:18] Eirene offers a far more true smile than usual to his words, nodding just slightly. Her freedom. She likes such.
  57.
  58. Standing at request of clothes, she steps over to one of the nearby rooms- gesturing for him to follow. As he'd step in, he'd come to what is obviously a dressing room.
  59.
  60. Gesturing to a certain section of the clothings, she nods.
  61.
  62. "You may use any of these, Kofe. They are aged- from years old. I wear them not, anymore." It's...a rather large portion of the closet, actually, that she had gestured to. It's amazing how much clothing she has, and doesn't use.
  63.
  64. "Tell me if I may assist with this- I...am not particularly skilled at crafts, myself."
  65. (Eirene ras Petrakis)
  66. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  67.
  68. [14:25] When she lead him further into her room he realized just how good the royals had it. She had an actual dressing room— not some wardrobe or a pile of clothes, no, a room dedicated for her to dress up. It was... Something else. Baffling.
  69.
  70. "You could buy food for months with all these clothes." He murmured, approaching some of the old stuff she dared not to wear. While his creativity may be great, Kofe's craftsmanship was...
  71.
  72. "I'm not great either, but we've got plenty of stock to spare and two hands each."
  73.
  74. A disaster, that's what they'd make. A vision began slowly coming into his mind as he threw old dresses, ceremonial wears, and a slew of other pieces his eyes should've never laid eyes upon aside, already making a mess out of the room.
  75.
  76. "We'll need to find you something to cover your face. You're pretty stunning, so people'll know it's you. Oh. And we'll have to do something with your hair— nobody running around the wild has their do so nice and proper. It should look like it's convenient, not jaw-dropping."
  77.
  78. Compliments peppering the thoughts he had already, hopefully having Eirene's heart touched a bit in the process.
  79.
  80. He eventually pulled out what looked like a long, overly-sized scarf. Whatever it was, it could be used. He tossed it over to the girl.
  81.
  82. "Try to wrap that around your face, we'll adjust from there."
  83. (Kofe)
  84. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  85.
  86. [14:45] So long as the disaster would preform that which she requires, a disaster would prove acceptable.
  87.
  88. The princess smiles just at his complements- offering a quiet giggle, yet not speaking overtly towards it. Shifting her hair so that it may be convenient- covering her face so that her lineage is not detected.
  89.
  90. Catching the scarf as its handed to her, Eirene looks at it- tilting her head just to the side, then she nods. "Ah. Alright..." Not entirely understanding how something so simple may provide that which she requires, but trusting the bard's direction.
  91.
  92. Attempting to wrap the scarf around her face is a somewhat awkward affair, yet she does provide success eventually- managing to get it mostly covering her chin and mouth, though it might fall should she move her head quickly.
  93.
  94. "...does this look right?" At the very least, it's better than nothing- but it could use work.
  95. (Eirene ras Petrakis)
  96. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  97.
  98. [15:02] He kept on going through more of her belongings before she asked if her get-up looked alright, prompting him to look her way. He quickly shook his head, rising up from the pile of clothes and moving right up to the princess. Where a young Kofe might've asked for her to stay still and if he could help her, the young man he was now merely asserted his presence.
  99.
  100. "I'll help you. Stay still, miss plain-white."
  101.
  102. His hands went at work without her permission, and from behind! What a demon of a man he was! He'd tug onto the scarf a bit, wraping it a bit better around her face and tucking it into itself to have it hold still. He pulled it back out of its nest momentarily to rip away the extra length, and tucked it again. Before she could even protest, Kofe's hands moved to her impeccable hair, fingertips grazing along their length before letting go.
  103.
  104. "You want to keep them long, right? You'll have to tie them up together, then. All along the way so it doesn't just... explode in the middle of running or something."
  105.
  106. His hand shifted over her shoulder, offering the extra length of the scarf.
  107.
  108. "Unless you need me to tie up your hair too."
  109.
  110. Still some sass, all with a smile.
  111.
  112. (Kofe)
  113. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  114.
  115. [15:25] Nodding in regards to his help- providing permission as he begins to aid, she remains still- used, to being assisted with dressing. She is royalty, after all- and though she is somewhat capable herself, the ability to be seen to is one not lost upon herself.
  116.
  117. Tilting her head just to the side as he rather roughly completes the task of binding her face in the white fabric- fingers trailing through her hair. Of course, she nods- it would not do to shorten her hair. Such would be rather obvious that something is afoot.
  118.
  119. Offering a slight shake of her head, she speaks. "You may tie my hair up, Kofe. It will be simpler for you to do such."
  120.
  121. Remaining still, so that he might suitably bind her hair.
  122. (Eirene ras Petrakis)
  123. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  124.
  125. [15:32] "Ooooohhhh. Wow. Okay. Mhm..."
  126.
  127. His words alone probably provided her with an understanding of how far apart their worlds were down to the very core. He shook his head, speaking as his hands began working on her hair. Had it not been for the fact he had a mother who enjoyed having her hair longer than convenient, Kofe would've probably made nothing but knots in those beautiful light strands.
  128.
  129. "I hope you've planned for something in return of all that help. Bah.. You probably have, you're thoughtful, and kind, and generous, and caring..."
  130.
  131. Buttering her up to make it even worse on her poor heart if she hadn't planned anything on the matter. He wasn't going to hound her for it, but messing with princesses was one of the greatest hobbies the young man had when visiting Osrona. Eventually her hair would find itself tied up tightly, all the way down its length. The piece of scarf was used as a way towrap around it, holding it all in place while more proper elastics held it together at the root, and every quarter of the way down to nearly the tip.
  132.
  133. "Whew! You look like some desert chick. You should visit Ilburg one day, when things have settled and all. I'll take you there."
  134. (Kofe)
  135. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  136.
  137. [15:49] An understanding, perhaps- had she paid mind to such. Remaining still as he wraps her silken hair in the thin cloth, making it so that it remains far more...convenient, he had said.
  138.
  139. Chuckling quietly at his attempt at wresting reward from her, she offers only a slight nod afore responding whilst he begins applying elastics.
  140.
  141. "Of course, Kofe. The reward is being allowed to, perhaps, show me the world without, of some day. Such was your request, yes?"
  142.
  143. Offering another chuckle as she points back to the topic that brought them here, initially. Turning to look into a mirror- and smiling at the result, though only her cheeks creasing would be visible.
  144.
  145. "Such will do finely, it is hoped. Such solves only the issue of disguising my face, and hair- yet it will suffice for my requirements. For the majority, it is believed I need not be able to converse- simply observe.
  146.
  147. Such is, at the least, the intent behind such a ruse. Observing that which I may not see as myself."
  148. (Eirene ras Petrakis)
  149. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  150.
  151. [15:55] "You really do keep that proper speech way too much to talk to people if you're gonna be sayin' stuff like that outside, yeah?"
  152.
  153. Butchering of words was made while he looked upon the mirror to see the reflection for himself. Good. It was perfect, even. No one would see through it..!
  154.
  155. For a few months, at least.
  156.
  157. "But yeah. I guess I'll take you up on that. And take Alice, too. 'Cause, y'know..."
  158.
  159. He trailed off on that. Admitting to having a certain greater fondness for the other princess shouldn't be spoken of. If it hadn't been for Serea, Kofe would more than likely not even think about being more than friends. Odd how that went.
  160.
  161. "You'll be able to find clothes that aren't all that rich, right? If not, ask Dianna for help. I'm sure she'll know where to find stuff like that."
  162.
  163. Still, the less people knew, the better it was. Out of everyone shecould've picked to sneak away and hide her identity someone bound to Iberl was likely the best one.
  164.
  165. "So, anything else you had plans for today?"
  166. (Kofe)
  167. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  168.
  169. [16:19] Kofe, of course, elaborates upon a point she had glossed over- her speech. Perhaps she will become adept at speaking in as if possessing a cruder tongue with time, yet for now such is simply untenable.
  170.
  171. Tilting her head towards the side as he mentions taking her sister- seeming to question his intent with her- yet allowing him to change the subject without note. Such is a question for a later date.
  172.
  173. "I am certain I'll be able to obtain apparel that will speak less of regalness, though should I be unable, I will endeavor to speak with Dianna. She should be able to assist."
  174.
  175. Gently, she begins to unbind the various clothes wrapping her head and hair- making note of how Kofe did them, yet finding it prudent to remove them for the moment. There will be time for practice at a later date- for now, they should likely depart, lest gossip seems to spread.
  176.
  177. "No plans have I, Kofe- I intend to await news of the battle, afore I decide upon what I will do for the rest of this...hopefully...fine day." Offering a thin smile, as she adjusts her loose-again hair- and there's a knocking at the door.
  178.
  179. "...ah. Perhaps it is one of my siblings. One moment."
  180. (Eirene ras Petrakis)
