As the recently healed Jabaz makes their way from the secured bathhouse, the conscripts gear up and prepare to delve down into the hideout presumably used by the murderous dead three cultists.

"Is everyone....prepared?" Kiryuu stands next to the secret entrance to whatever tunnels and rooms are below the bathhouse.

Aelar takes one of his other potions of healing and makes sure to drink it all. After he casts a spell causing 10 healing berries to appears in his hand, he eats several of them and hands off a few of them to Heat Stones.

Deciding they are prepared the adventurers descend the well lit stone and brick staircase. A foul, sewer-like stench greets the conscripts and before long the find themselves in an empty, unlit chamber flooded with foul-smelling water.

The stones underfoot suddenly lurch and tumble over one another. Thousands of tiny limbs, pincers, and stingers break from the stone surface and frantically swarm the noble and physician.

Aelar moves up behind Xavier and opens fire on the one of the stone creatures hitting it twice before falling back

The shifting stones unbalance the orc and cause her to lose her footing and fall prone.

An enraged Gundz, casts Burning Hands and punches the nearest swarm.

The swarm attempts to overwhelm the prone shaman as it's pincers and stingers try to find their way into the soft flesh beneath the orc's protection.
The swarm also unbalances the half elven noble, bring him crashing into the foul-smelling sewer water alongside the orc physician.

Tharivol points a blunderbuss to the mass of creatures and blasts them with an ear-piercing explosion.
Clearing his immediate vicinity of the swarm, he finds his feet once more.

Hearing the commotion in the other room, and seeing the elf attack Kiryuu moves forward until he is next to Xavier. Swinging his sword at an angle around the corner of the door...he misses....both swings. "Cursed cramped....spaces."

Xavier continues smashing the swarm and kills them.

One of the swarms surges around the group, bearing them all into the disgusting water and corralling them before closing in for an attempted kill as their stingers and pincers pierce flesh and tear holes in the conscripts.

Seeing one swarm move up dragging three members of the group, he takes aim as he over draws both of his next two shots into the swarm causing massive damage to the creature killing it.

Grundz runs to punch the swarm, misses, and hops back into hallway.

The remaining swarm rushes the group. The murky water ripples and parts as the monstrosities chitter and stab the adventurers.

Tharivol fires a heavy pistol point blank, crawls back out of the swarm, and gets back on his feet.

Gundz visibly annoyed being carried around by stone bugs. She stands up and asks "Is everyone is alright?"

With a heave and a grunt Kiryuu rolls several times through the water until he is no longer under the swarm. He then stands with a growl, the foulness of the water sloshing all around him making him angry but not enough to make him go into a state of rage. With a roar he swings his great sword twice, cleaving through many of the swarm of stone. Kill most if not all of the creatures.

The smell of brimstone and blood begins to override the potent sewer water as it flows from the newly discovered passage.

Kiryuu pauses as if hearing something....and he did. Was that a keening? A chorus of wails? Even to a being as him his skin began to crawl. Steeling himself he clenches his teeth and growls. "I hear a soft chorus...of damned voices...I do not know how many. Best we be...vigilant and extra cautious." He warns everyone.

As the group quietly advances they are greeted by a horrific sight. A group of small, bat-winged creatures gather around what appears to be a corpse. Their high pitched voices chorus and chant while they carve slices of flesh from the body, consuming the strips and drinking of the brackish blood that is contained within.

The mercenary moves forward, water sloshing violently around his legs as nears and winds up an attack. His first stroke immediately slays the imp, the second only winging the adjacent imp. "Death to these abominations!"

Before the imp's corpses even cool, splashes echo and bounce off of the walls from further inside the structure.
The source is swiftly revealed as a pale, emaciated abomination leaps through the air. Propelled by four elongated, dissimilar limbs affixed to it's inverted torso. It's long neck coils and slithers as it's eyeless head with chattering teeth bite deep into the mechanical construct and attempts to bring it down into the sewage.

A flying creature that looks like the disembodied skin of a once-living person closes with the kobold. Its mouth is twisted into a tortured scream, and its eyes gleam a baleful blue. A howl of pure agony rips from the creature, threatening to shake the mercenary conscripts to their cores.

An abomination rushes around the corner and leaps at kobold, its chattering teeth latch onto the draconian and bear him to the stone floor with a splash.

Kovgan manages to get his sword between himself and the teeth, absorbing some of the damage, with the support of Stones familiar he comes out miraculously unhurt.

Another follows the first, this one aims for the half-oni who manages to keep his feet. The flesh reaver's claws dig a deep gouge in the mercenary's back.

Kiryuu the shouts and grits his teeth as blood spurts from the gouges in his flesh. With a roar the half-oni enters a state of rage. "A B O M I N A T I O N." He roars as he brings his blade down, once....and twice. Rendering the thing into bloody pieces of viscera and gore. "DEATH TO THE ABOMINATION."

The reaver turns from the kobold and lunges at the half-oni, it's chattering teeth, coated in black ichor, tear at the mercenaries flesh

Kiryuu blocks the teeth with his forearm, hissing in pain as it tries to take a chunk out of him. In return he slams the abomination into the wall and with a great effort rends it into two pieces with his sword. As the lower portion flops into the sewer water he flings the top half at the wraith, instead hitting the far wall.

The wraith perpetuates it's howl of agony and with a single-minded focus it continues to claw and scratch at the artificer.
