- Elly
- So you really don't pray?
- Naomi
- Of course not. Don't you know what atheism is?
- Elly
- Not at all? Not even before you go to bed?
- Naomi rolls her eyes, frustrated that Elly can't understand such a simple concept.
- Naomi
- Well, like all good atheists, I do pray to Baphomet.
- Elly's eyes widen to saucers and her jaw drops in horror. Seeing this, an evil grin spreads across Naomi's face. She probably didn't expect Elly to take the sarcasm so seriously, but now she decides to run with it. She leans in close to Elly and speaks in a low tone, as if letting her in on some kind of closely-guarded secret.
- Naomi
- You wanna hear the pagan death hex?
- Elly shakes her head violently in protest and starts crossing herself, stuttering out Hail Marys and Our Fathers. But Naomi's having too much fun to stop, so she holds up her hands as if mimicking a movie monster and starts chanting gibberish, dancing around in a faux tribal ritual.
- Naomi
- Ich bin ein berliner! Chaka khan!
- At this, Elly stumbles backwards, utterly terrified. She extends her trembling arms as far as they'll go and uses her two forefingers to form a cross in front of herself, as if fending off a vampire. The reaction only eggs Naomi on.
- Naomi
- Hi diddly ho! Rutabaga! Shazam!
- Elly squeals. She claps her hands over her ears and runs out of the room as fast as she can, crying in fear.
- Grey
- That was cruel.
- Naomi
- Maybe.
