Theresa was quite young when she lost her family to dire wolves, and survived through luck, and being small enough to fit in places the pony sized canines could not. She spent the next three years following them, eating from their kills, drinking from their water holes, living near their dens.

When she emerged from that forest where she lost her life, her family, all the wolves were dead, and she was not the human girl she had once been. She is Wildfang, and her spirit and heart is that of the Wolf.
