personality: growing up, minseo is a very disciplined person. she took care of her twin younger siblings when her parents are not home (which is often) and though this does not shape her into a person of compassion and love towards little children, it does shape her into a young woman always ready to take on challenges and fulfill her duty and responsibilities. she is mostly an introvert, preferring a good movie than meeting people, but she knew well that idols aren't supposed to be introverts, so she often forces herself to just "be out there" and "meet new people" so this often causes stress and pressure to be put on her. minseo is the type of person to be very sensitive, there are a bunch of rules if you don't want her to be upset at you, like for example don't talk to her before 8 a.m., also don't even bother touching/hugging/embracing her after practice because she will s n a p p e d at you. it's not because she's hates you, it's just because she is that sensitive.

background: being the oldest of her three siblings (who are different by only a year, really), minseo is often expected to take care of her younger siblings. this annoyed her as she didn't like being restrained, so a lot of time she said jokingly that the reason that she joined sm entertainment was only to get away from her siblings. she found her passion in dancing when she was younger, exactly when she saw boa's music video of "rock with you" and she begged and begged her parents for dancing lessons afterwards. around the age of 10 years old, she finally decided to audition in a few agencies but got rejected every time until sm entertainment accepted her at the age of 13. after being accepted, minseo's parents had to let her go so she could live in the sm dormitories in seoul.

why did she decide to become a trainee: she wanted to perform after seeing one of boa's performances on tv.
how did she became a trainee: auditioning non stop for 3 years straight in all company she knows that doesn't look too sketchy. after three years, at the age of 13, she manages to be accepted in sm entertainment which thrilled her to death!

tell me a bit about her training period:
- most of the time, her training period was filled with stress and anxiety - wondering if she would get to debut or not, especially at how sm decided that minseo would be a rapper rather than a singer.
- she worked hard, despite being an introvert, minseo tried her best to be as outgoing as she could.
- she might have a tiny crush on nct's mark (as he was assigned to help her get better at rapping) for a year or two but got over it as soon as she realized that she's got no chance.
- almost falling into a hole of depression, she was thankful that jonghyun called her in to feature in one of his albums and even allowed her to write the lyrics for her part - that was when she discovered her love for song-writing.

their personality: hayi is a lot like minseo - she is quiet, often keeps to herself, but is very straightforward. someone is doing something she doesn't like? hayi would most likely be telling her. she is famous for her "stone cold" image in which she doesn't smile a lot - although this isn't true, hayi does have a cold face. so it would look like she was upset even when she was not. around minseo, hayi turns very caring, motherly even, one would think that minseo is hayi's younger sister if they didn't know they were dating.

their story: minseo was hired to help produce lee hi's album, seoulite. she was nervous, her heart was beating out of her chest as this was her first big gig. thank fully all the other seniors are very welcoming and willing to guide her through the process. especially hayi. minseo didn't see it at first, maybe she was a bit dense, but she didn't take hayi inviting her for coffee or hayi playfully texting her as a sign that... maybe she likes her? it didn't take hayi long, however, to shoot her shot. she was straight forward, minseo was a lot like that, but the question of "hey, let's date." had caused minseo's usual stern self to cower away from hayi for a couple of days. especially at how hayi is an older woman? minseo was as nervous as minseo could be. but she finally managed to text hayi "okay, let's go on a date." this happens around 2 years before her debut.
at first, minseo didn't want to tell the others about this relationship as she was somewhat afraid that she wouldn't be allowed to debut
