There were great comments and the team enjoyed the PR notes. There are significant improvements that would need to be made to match the design. We would also need to see a little more readability in JS, as well as scalability. It's not a requirement to use all the latest JS APIs/methods, but it would help the project read better, and probably reveal simpler solutions to the rendering of the message date. A concern is the is JS's heavy coupling to the HTML. It doesn't leave much breathing room for future proofing this code.
