  1. Ame vs Corv
  2.
  3. R1 Ame
  4. * Establishment of Tate's stats
  5. * Tate is supersonic, can punch supersonic, his arm is strong and durable
  6. * Tate can react to any attack Sonic does
  7. * Tate is = if not > to Sonic in speed
  8. * SoSS can't cut the arm in any way
  9. * SoSS's explosive shuriken is not taking out Tate
  10. * Tate oneshots SoSS
  11. * The closed nature of the arena makes it so Sonic struggles to do anything that Tate can't fundamentally react to
  12. * Tate fights very defensively
  13.
  14. R1 Corvette
  15. * Sonic moves at, well, speed of sound or faster
  16. * Sonic's piercing cuts through supremely durable metal
  17. * Sonic can utilize afterimages to trick opponents
  18. * Sonic is really good at dodging
  19. * Sonic reacts very quickly essentially to his own movement and is capable of reacting and doing several things in a small timeframe
  20. * Genos is compared to Tate, Tate is worse than Genos for only having one arm and less rate of attack, Genos can't hit Sonic
  21. * The afterimages work on somebody who perceives objects at mach speed
  22. * Sonic is competent enough at fighting that two people faster than him can't touch him
  23. * Explosive will take him out
  24. * Library gives Sonic more possible movement options and attack vectors
  25.
  26. R2 Ame
  27. * Tate is faster than Genos
  28. * Tate specifically moves his entire body comparable to a mach 2+ projectile
  29. * Tate is capable of performing multiple actions while moving faster than sound
  30. * Tate's whole body is fast, not just the arm, and should be still supersonic compared to Sonic's just sonic
  31. * 'Sonic fighting two faster opponents' is unquantifiable
  32. * Afterimages don't work on someone who can fight blind, Tate can
  33. * Tate can move out of the explosive range or throw away the shuriken
  34. * Tate is 'skilled' and can use efficient, minimal movement to dodge Sonic's attacks, acting as a speed multiplier as Tate moves less distance to dodge Sonic's wider range of motion
  35. * Tate does more meaningful things in one 'action' than Sonic
  36.
  37. R2 Corvette
  38. * Sonic still is a master at maneuvering and can fight two faster opponents without getting hit
  39. * Essentially repeats Ame's dodging argument, Tate moves his arm a foot to punch, Sonic only must move a few inches
  40. * Because Tate has one fast limb this hinders his ability to respond to Sonic dodging
  41. * Sonic's afterimages are literally him being in multiple positions at once
  42. * Sonic's explosive shurikens are demonstrably stronger than grenades
  43. * Durability shmurability
  44. * Tate fighting defensively does not matter, Tate is countering an attack, not dodging it
  45. * Sonic can dodge a counter in a worse position than what Tate can physically put him in and kill him
  46.
  47. Dope round, and made me struggle to consider a winner here.
  48.
  49. I think both Tate and Sonic oneshot each other, and that Sonic can use his explosive shuriken to pull that off, and the shuriken is definitely dangerous. I don't even know if Tate would automatically consider it an explosive and know to get rid of it. The afterimages much less so, Corv's R2 argument was definitely fake in regards to them, if he's physically occupying multiple places at once why would attacking an afterimage not be effective? It's just an illusion effect, which Tate can (probably) deal with.
  50.
  51. One thing Corv kind of screwed up here is that I do think at the end of the day, Tate's full body went argued to be quantifiably faster than Sonic, while even in the scans Corv was using (such as the Deep Sea King scans) you had Sonic struggle to dodge people he very clearly said he was faster than. Ame didn't really jump on attacking Sonic's actual scans that much though, so I can't say it's that much of an advantage. And, combined with how even though Tate I think moves faster than Sonic and can clearly perceive and react to him, only one limb of Tate's is actually dangerous to Sonic and Sonic is such an incredibly good dodger (being essentially uncontested to dodge people who he can barely react to moving around) a close confrontation between the two can lead Sonic to a better position to land his kill. Compound that with how I think the explosive is like, definitely an advantage here, and Sonic wins this.
  52.
  53. I do think that Ame would have won this had he pressed harder on Sonic's actual scans though, or if this had gone to R3.
  54.
  55. Corvette wins.
