  1. A farmer got more than a little angry when a group of protesters showed up on his land. One of the protestors included famous actress Emma Thompson, but she was not given the celebrity treatment. The farmer got so mad he sprayed the group with manure. Yes, you read that right. Manure. Read on below to find out more!
  2.
  3. Injunction. Emma Thompson and her sister Sophie were among the group of protestors that ignored an injunction against protesting fracking on the farmer’s land. He was less than thrilled that their presence was affecting his work.
  4.
  5. Baking. “Ms. Thompson and her sister Sophie entered a field on the Lancashire farm, where energy company Cuadrilla is planning to frack for shale gas, and baked renewable energy-themed cakes in a Greenpeace-backed protest stunt.” Telegraph reports.
  6.
  7. Ban. The injunction placed in 2014 was meant to prevent people like Thompson from protesting fracking on the land. However, Thompson, her sister, and the company didn’t let a little injunction prevent them from protesting for their cause.
  8.
  9. Bake Off. Emma and Sophia held a “frack free bake off” in an effort to “show the government that we will not allow fracking to scar our countryside and fuel yet more climate change,” Thompson says.
  10.
  11. Bake Off. Emma continues: "What better way to do that, here in Britain, than hold a bake off?" she asked. However, the farmer could probably think of some other ways that don’t involve his work.
  12.
  13. Angry. The farmer became so angry with the protesters that he took action. The farmer “proceeded to drive a muck-spreader around the protesters, narrowly missing the Thompson sisters and their cakes.” Obviously, he's never seen the magic that is an Emma Thompson movie.
  14.
  15. Protesters. Unfortunately, the farmer’s attempt to get the protesters to flee was unsuccessful. In fact, local cake store owner Kate Styles gave the farmer quite the burn when she said, "The stink was temporary—unlike the impact of fracking on this community if Cuadrilla get their way," Telegraph reports. BAM!
  16.
  17. Video. The video footage also shows the farmer’s lack of success from the stunt. The stunned protester simply ran away from the poop being sprayed in their direction. The poop itself never even came close to reaching Thompson.
  18.
  19. Company. The energy company Cuadrilla is reviewing the situation, deciding whether or not they will take legal action for the breach of the injunction. However, it’s clear in this case Cuadrilla is "Team Farmer" on this one.
  20.
  21. Trespassing. Francis Egan, the Cuadrilla chief executive, said, "Celebrities from London trespassing on a Lancashire farmer's land, preventing him from working whilst lecturing us on where the UK should get our natural gas from is beyond ridiculous,” The Telegraph reports.
  22.
  23. Frack. The energy company’s application to frack on the particular land where the incident went down was thrown out last year by local councillors, Telegraph reports. An appeal was then called in to let the government decide.
  24.
  25. Peaceful. Despite the deliberately cruel tactic used by the farmer, the protest remained peaceful. “Officers from Lancashire Police attended the site and spoke to the Thompson sisters but took no action and made no arrests,” according to the Telegraph.
  26.
  27. Hypocritical. A UKOOG executive called out Emma Thompson’s sister Sophie Thompson for her hypocrisy in the matter. Sophie is known for her frequent appearances on the show Celebrity Masterchef, which uses gas stoves.
  28.
  29. Ironic. "It is ironic that a celebrity, who uses gas stoves in videos to promote her own cookbooks, and her sister, who described Britain as ‘a cake-filled misery-laden grey old island,’ should want to attempt to hijack the UK’s love of baking for an ill-conceived publicity stunt," Ken Cronin, UKOOG chief executive said.
  30.
  31. A Peaceful End. Police responded to the event but released the following statement confirming the bake off’s harmlessness. The police spokesman said, "We were this morning made aware of a protest on land at Plumpton Hall Farm at Little Plumpton. A local neighborhood patrol attended and spoke to a representative of the protestors to establish their intentions. It was not felt necessary or proportionate to maintain a police presence at the site but resources are available to attend again if necessary." Wait, but more importantly, who won the bake off?
