- - Shingen tells Rei that he told Ten and Chiaki about Riku's situation. Rei replies and says he kinda knew (because Shingen isn't a tight-lipped guy) and guesses that Ten's here because she's searching for Riku's mother. "If you are [looking for Riku's mother], then hurry up and find her and take him to his mother. ...Then it'll be a happy ending."
- - Shingen wishes for Riku and Rei to live in the same household again, as a family; Rei throws his phone at him saying that's nonsense.
- - Rei complains (?) about how everyone -- Shingen, Ran, his grandfather, everybody -- takes Riku's side. Shingen says something about releasing Rei from a spell? (Rei comments that it's impossible for him to do.)
- - Ten talks with Chiaki and mentions that Rei called her an 'outsider' and how it hurt her to see him call her that. She wonders where she and Chiaki are in terms of Riku's heart; "The one in the deepest place isn't me [but Rei]."
- - It's revealed that Riku went to Nekochiya Junior High, the same one that Chiaki's friend went to (sorry, I can't remember his name!). Chiaki asks what Riku was like in junior high and his friend replies with "He was always in the top 10 when it came to tests. But it was kinda surprising to see him go to the commerce school." Ten concludes that Riku probably decided to go there because it's related to the Mizuhara family.
- - Chiaki asks if Riku had any friends he was especially close with. His friend says Riku was always in the centre of things, but he didn't have anyone like that (Chiaki smiles and lightly blushes at this, believing himself to be the one.)
- - Chiaki tries to ask Riku about his parents again, but Riku just replies with "It's none of your business." -- he then quickly tells Chiaki to hurry up and take his bath because he just took a shower (basically, even if Riku was a bit cold with his answer regarding his parents, he still shows he cares about Chiaki in the end).
- - Riku's birthday's coming up and Ten wants to celebrate. She wants to be closer to him but realises (yet again) that she is powerless when it comes to Riku.
- - A week later, a new tenant comes to live at the Hoshino Boarding House by the name of Ryuu Kaitani. His school is also called Nekochiya, but rather than the general high school, it seems his school specialises in the manufacturing industry? (This differs from Riku who goes to a commerce one.)
- - He mentions an older sister introduced him to this boarding house, but it's not his (blood-related) older sister -- it's Riku's. "Riku, I've wanted to meet you. Do you know who I am? My name is Hotaru Fujiyoshi. I'm your older sister. Riku, please. Come see Mother."
