  1.
  2. Amentiel Bergier pipes up, not actually bothering to look up from the book he's absorbing. "Amentiel Bergier. Focus on Aetherical healing and scholarly arts. Currently studying Nym." The lanky Elezen was unusually terse... and seemingly more sleep deprived than usual. Heavy bags were obvious behind his glasses.
  3. Sayyida Mol stood and gave a little bow. "My name is Sayyida, I am from the Mol tribe. Half Xaela, for those of you wondering about my scales. I am a spirit medium, and heal others through the spirit's blessings. So mostly using aetheric treatments."
  4. L'meyah Bejah waves a hand, "Uhm... Yehn Lea. I'm a mender, I can do either conjury and herbal medicines."
  5. Kowa Brimaine smiles briefly at Waku before speaking. "Kowa Brimaine. I am a chirurgeon with a specialty in field medicine as well as a practicing astrologian and aetheric healer. Pleased to formally meet you all."
  6. Rosalin Menoly: “Rosalin Menoly, chiurgical specialist in foreign object extraction and vascular repair. In simple terms, I pull out shrapnel, arrowheads and the like as well as stop bleeding and repair internal damage. I am, for most intents a purely non-aetherical healer. I have also done extensive research into the properties of aetheric corruption, and am a highly experienced battlefield medic.”
  7. Nalette Rainteaux listened intently, leaning over to make notes here and there.
  8. Rosalin Menoly pauses and clears her throat, “I also possess a rather, unique, biology that renders me immune to most contagions, so I am more than willing to deal with infectious patients. My recent research has been into the construction of a device to help me visualize aether, which I have some ability to extract.”
  9. Waku Motohama stands soon after Kowa, giving a small salute to those assembled. "Waku Motohama. Not much aetheric training, but I've a keen hand with practical medicine, as I often end up as one of the earliest arrivals at the scenes of crimes. A pleasure."
  10. Waku Motohama gives Rosalin a curious look at her introduction.
  11. Ferdillaix Tristelle: "I'm Dr. Ferdillaix Tristelle the clinic pediatrician. I work primarily here, but in conjunction with the children's ward in Ul'dah. I'm currently working on some prenatal studies in my free time."
  12. L'meyah Bejah flashed Rosalin a glance, then back to Nalette. Her ears flatten and she thumbs her handbook.
  13. W'zairah Khai quirked at brow at Waku as she sat, amused. "W'zairah Khai. Bard. Songs will keep hands steady and relieve those in pain. I have some knowledge of practical field medicine but mostly herbal remidies and travel relievements." She dipped her head at the gathering but she had just reminded herself that she hadn't eaten while traveling back to the Clinic.
  14. Sayyida Mol looked around the room, trying to memorize everyone. She glanced at the handbook, but she wasn't the strongest reader when it came to the Eorzean alphabet.
  15. Light Armeigo using his cane gingerly he walked into the room smiling slightly at everyone "I miss a meeting?" he said curiously his voice slightly rough
  16. Nalette Rainteaux appraised Light curiously. "YOu are welcome to join us if you wish, we are discussing matters for the Meliorist division."
  17. Nalette Rainteaux: "Is that...everyone, I wonder?"
  18. Ambaghai Iriq: "Ambaghai," he tries and fails to not make his introduction more abrupt. "I know a small amount of healing. Nothing aetheric." he thinks on how to elaborate on this, "It is usually enough to keep people alive until they can get to a proper healer."
  19. Nalette Rainteaux: "You were quite helpful with my last examination."
  20. Light Armeigo turning to Nalette he bowed his head in thanks as he took a seat near Ferdillaix letting out a small sigh as he sat down
  21. Ambaghai Iriq considers, and nods his head not so much in agreement as in acknowledgement. "I would hope to at least help."
  22. Kowa Brimaine raises a surprised eyebrow at Light, a slight smile on her lips.
  23. Nalette Rainteaux nodded. "If that is everyone, then please allow me to thank you for sharing. I am considering maintaining ledger for us to compile this information - a directory of services so that we might better know how to reach each other, as well as establishing a division-centric linkpearl network for emergency purposes."
  24. Nalette Rainteaux: "Unlike our main linkpearl...I might ask we keep lizard related chatter to a minimum."
  25. Nalette Rainteaux: "Unless someone is, perhaps, caring for a lizard."
  26. Abelaire Cygnnoire has been nursing his mug of coffee and petting his carbuncle, listening quetly while trying to wake up. "...Abelaire, or simply Abel if folks prefer. Ah, as our Advocate put it recently... I'm one of the resident jack-of-all-trades. I focus mainly on researching new carbuncles, as well as caring for animals -- and people when needed. My treatments tend more towards the holistic and alternative."
  27. Waku Motohama gives Kowa and Zairah a glance. Is this... heaven? Has she died and gone to the place where Good Little Bureaucratic Lizards go when they die? Will it no longer be just them, running around a poorly staffed infirmary with everyone in some manner of near-death trauma and Waku eternally bemoaning that she's one of the few that can make decent notes on everyone's charts?
  28. Light Armeigo turning across the room he looked at everyone smiling slightly
  29. Kowa Brimaine returns the look, looking equally surprised. Organization? Planning? Charts?!
  30. Nalette Rainteaux: "Ah. Thank you, Abelaire."
  31.
  32. Nalette Rainteaux hummed quietly. "Where were we? Ah, to reiterate. A directory. I'll have more information on the matter soon." She paused a moment, before continuing. "The next thing I would like to touch upon this evening would be an initative to make certain all of our staff and volunteers have been given proper examination and evaluation. Mister Stone of the Operatives has requested such for his division, but it has been going on two turns now since we last undertook this measure, and our roster has
  33. Nalette Rainteaux: expanded greatly since then. It is good to have a reasonable baseline of health to work from so that should something go wrong afield, we know where to begin. And yes, this includes our own number as well - use it as an opportunity to compare approach and evaluation skills." She took in a small breath. "I will have the forms available beginning tomorrow -- as well as a roster of our current staff requiring this-- though I am tasking each of you to make it a point of seeking out those that
  34. Rosalin Menoly winces slightly at the mention, frowning. "I do not suppose we can submit our own paperwork?"
  35. Light Armeigo looking over at Nalette he gulped slightly, wondering how best he could avoid this... maybe Kowa could vouch as already having examined him... he wasn't really looking forward to having more people looking over him like some rare jewel
  36. Kowa Brimaine 's smile freezes, just a tad.
  37. W'zairah Khai Eyes slowly drifted to the man- more the carbuncle to be honest. Ohh she could have mentioned her work with animals...there will be a time for it later. Not everything had to be spilled at once. Wait- examanation? her head whipped.
  38. Waku Motohama gives Kowa a look positively filled with jubilant glee. /Reasonable baseline of health/, she mouths. It's then, though, that she notices the odd shadow in her smile. ...Ah.
  39. Amentiel Bergier clears his throat shifting awkwardly in his chair. "Surely I don't need one, I had a physical performed by ...." he trails off into a mumble.
  40. Sayyida Mol turned to Rosa. "I could examine you, Rosa," she said quickly, recalling a conversation they had had while quarantined.
  41. Kowa Brimaine looks at her with a blank expression and screaming eyes.
  42. Nalette Rainteaux requiring this-- though I am tasking each of you to make it a point of seeking out those that live or work within the Enclave and complete at least one examination - or, if in training or inclined towards assistance, to pair with a member of the healing staff. I would like to see this completed before Heavensturn." A pause. "Corner them if you must. Threaten their desserts." She was joking, right? It was difficult to tell, really, impassive and unreadably cool as she remained. Well, maybe
  43. Ambaghai Iriq seems to be the only one not fozed by the mention of a physical. He also seems to be oblivious to other people's less-than-positive reactions.
  44. Waku Motohama gives Kowa a quiet thumbs up. Don't worry. They'll make it work.
  45. Nalette Rainteaux impassive and unreadably cool as she remained. Well, maybe there was a slight upturn of the corners of her mouth. "I'll ...answer questions at the end."
  46. Nalette Rainteaux: "Surely you can't all be so opposed. Honestly."
  47. Waku Motohama: It seems quite reasonable.
  48. L'meyah Bejah nods in agreement, ears forward.
  49. Abelaire Cygnnoire simply takes a sip of his coffee entirely nonplused.
  50. Ambaghai Iriq blinks and looks around the room. Now he's a little more aware of some of the others' reactions. But, looking back toward Nalette, he simply shrugs.
  51. Nalette Rainteaux: "No one enjoys having a physical, but the practice of having one performed and of performing one can give greater inside into one's own treatment of patients."
  52. Rosalin Menoly seems lost in thought.
  53. Sayyida Mol: brb))
  54. W'zairah Khai Shot a quick look at Waku, her tail slinking with discomfort. "It's not that it... -isn't- reasonable." She glances at Kowa before finding Nalette. "Just sudden. This wasn't mentioned before."
  55. Nalette Rainteaux nods to W'zairah Khai.
  56. Rosalin Menoly: "I suppose it HAS been a few cycles since my last proper exam..."
  57. Nalette Rainteaux: "It's a new implementation. I...think we shall all somehow manage to survive the ordeal." A sound that could almost be considered a chuckle escaped her.
  58. Sayyida Mol: back))
  59. Nalette Rainteaux: wb!)
  60. Nalette Rainteaux hummed, reaching up to brush away a few stray strands of pale hair, and then to smooth her skirts. "Shall I continue, then? Our last point of business tonight is an upcoming bit of Outreach here in Ul'dah."
  61.
  62. Ambaghai Iriq wonders if he ought to feel a bit more worried than he does, considering near everyone elses' reaction.
  63. Nalette Rainteaux: "While we will be setting our attentions northward again in Ishgard proper, continued attempts to contact and make overture with the settlement we are investiating have proven...slow... I have no further update on the cases we evaluated some moons ago, aside to report that all of them seem to have stablized and mostly recovered." A pause. "I digress. Outreach in Ul'dah and the remaining camps will be in conjunction with our Liasions - offering food, provisions, clothing, and on-site
  64. Nalette Rainteaux: assistance to those that approach us, as well as a bit of canvasing in the city proper to make more of the populace aware of our work. We are aiming for the tail end of this moon, I am certain the Advocate will make the formal announcement before sennight's end."
  65. Nalette Rainteaux: "I...do believe that may be about all. Are there any questions, inquiries I may be able to answer? Ideas for future projects? On this or any other subjects pertaining to our work?"
  66. Amentiel Bergier clears his throat. "Uh... how long can I put off that physical? I'm the pinnacle of health, of course, just... curious!"
  67. Nalette Rainteaux: "No."
  68. Amentiel Bergier: "Oh."
  69. Kowa Brimaine clears her throat. "May we at least choose who we would prefer to have them administered by? Patient comfort, and all."
  70. Nalette Rainteaux nodded towards Kowa. "Of course. Patien comfort, I believe, is covered in the handbook. Earning the trust of those we look after - peers as well as walk-in patients - is paramount to the care we deliver here."
  71. Sayyida Mol raised a cautious hand. "I apologize if this isn't the right time...but are we continuing with the wellness workshops? I had an idea for one."
  72. Nalette Rainteaux nods to Sayyida Mol.
  73. Nalette Rainteaux: "I would enquire with the Advocate on that particular matter. I am sure she would be delighted to hear."
  74. Sayyida Mol nodded. "Alright, I will do that. Thank you!"
  75. Nalette Rainteaux: "I am considering some in-division training and workshops, though I should have more information on that soon - by the next meeting, perhaps."
  76. Nalette Rainteaux: "And, perhaps, more extensive training for our other divisions. First aid, etcetera."
  77. Nalette Rainteaux: "Is there is naught else, you all are dismissed. I will have my office availability posted at the front desk soon, as well as the forms for the evaluations."
  78. Waku Motohama gives this a nod, clearly pleased with the ideas being put forth and absorbing the information as it's given. She still seems over the moon at the idea of basic organizational practices. It's sort of like watching a penniless orphan try cake for the first time.
  79. Sayyida Mol clapped for Nalette.
  80. Nalette Rainteaux: "Thank you all."
  81. Nalette Rainteaux bows.
  82. L'meyah Bejah pokes Abelair in the back.
  83. Abelaire Cygnnoire offers Jaaster a small smile. "You know, there's really nothing to be afraid of, my friend."
  84. Amentiel Bergier nods to Nalette, before skittering off back to his lair like some kind of gremlin.
  85. Abelaire Cygnnoire: "...ah...?"
  86. L'meyah Bejah: Hey, I've been reading up on Astrologian stuff. When are we gonna work on that star chart?
  87. L'meyah Bejah rocks on her toes.
  88. Kowa Brimaine nods to the lady before rising, looking as though she's aged ten years since this meeting started.
  89. Rosalin Menoly sighs slightly, looking at the floor, then glancing at Sayyida.
  90. Abelaire Cygnnoire blinks at Yehn. "Ah...my, if you aren't a sneaky one..." He'd shake his head with a smile. "Whenever you're ready, Miss Yehn. I think we've got everything collected now."
  91. Jaaster Taras abruptly comes out of his haze of envisioning terribly sterile prison breaks and looks up at Abel. "Oh. Right, sure. I...I've just been seeing a lot of healers lately. It's, well...you know."
  92. L'meyah Bejah: Great! I wanna start reading the sky right because I can't find those constellations if my life depended on it.
  93. Waku Motohama gives Kowa a look before standing to follow.
  94. Kowa Brimaine: "Well, that went."
  95.
  96. Waku Motohama: That is how meetings tend to go.
  97. Sayyida Mol walked over to Rosa. "Perhaps we could be examination partners? I would love to learn from someone as skilled as you."
  98. Waku Motohama gives her a look. Thumbs up? Thumbs down? Pick a face from the scale, Kowa.
  99. Kowa Brimaine returns a blank expression that very aggressively refuses to pick a face from the scale.
  100. Abelaire Cygnnoire nodded to Yehn, still smiling. "When you start forming bonds with the stars, I'm certain they'll call fondly to you." He'd then glance back to Jaaster. "Mm, I understand. Mostly, you'll have your heart rate and breathing checked, and any surgeries, sustained injuries, allergies, or familial medical history will be noted down. Physicals can be very non-invasive. Anything further you can defer to someone you trust, I'm sure."
  101. Ambaghai Iriq waits a bit before deciding to leave, just in case anything popped up at the last second. Eventually he stands, directs a nod at the others in the room, then wanders toward the door.
  102. Rosalin Menoly: "I would be willing, though I am distinctly unfamiliar with the health and care of scales and horns...I have only studdied the one horn in my time, and that was after it was detached. A rather fascinating internal structure but..." Maybe...she shouldn't be talking about examining bodyparts?!?
  103. Kowa Brimaine: "Ser Kah'li is due soon for tea."
  104. W'zairah Khai Ear flicked, soon following suit behind them, she slipped beside Kowa, tone a soft murmur. "Are you alright?"
  105. L'meyah Bejah bobs her head and sighs, "Guess I should get my things and turn in soon, it's getting late."
  106. Kowa Brimaine 's shoulders stiffen. "I'll be fine, but thank you."
  107. Sayyida Mol tilted her head. "I've never had issues with them, and I don't mind you practicing. As long as my horn doesn't end up detached..." she chuckled and grinned.
  108. Abelaire Cygnnoire: "Have a pleasant rest, Miss Yehn. I'll see you soon."
  109. L'meyah Bejah: Be good, both of you!
  110. Rosalin Menoly: "I should hope not...Defiant still has yet to have hers regrow, though that may be because she picked at the stump too much..."
  111. Waku Motohama has not spoken to Ser Kah'li since he almost got them killed, and Waku's squinting shift of emotions conveys her current ambivalent feelings towards the man.
  112. L'meyah Bejah smirks at Jaaster and goes of to get her things from the kitchen.
  113. Jaaster Taras nods slowly, absorbing all that information. "Well, hopefully I'll be all healed up by the time I get checked out, so injuries won't be a problem. I'll have to ask my folks about the history bit, I guess..."
  114. Kowa Brimaine catches that look - "He wanted a word, Waku. It should be fine."
  115. Sayyida Mol: "Oh...perhaps?" she chuckled nervously, rubbing her own horn reflexively. "At any rate, let me know when a good time would be for you. You can call me on the linkpearl, or leave a note at my room."
  116. Waku Motohama grumbles something about hoping that the word is 'sorry', and maybe also including a prequel and an afteward such as, /I am very/ and /for being an idiot./
  117. Rosalin Menoly: "My travels have left my schedule...erratic at best."
  118. Abelaire Cygnnoire: "We can send a request form for the information just as easily, if you prefer...? Ah, I don't mean to assume, but I know some folks -- myself included -- aren't always on good terms with family, ha."
  119. Sayyida Mol: "Mine can be too, but I'm sure we'll figure something else. Perhaps after a clinic night?"
  120. Kowa Brimaine shakes her head, amused. "Keep each other company, then, if you'd rather not see him."
  121. Abelaire Cygnnoire: "But they're just to make sure you're healthy and able to perform your duties, as well as to help us treat you effectively should something come up."
  122. Waku Motohama pouts. "Did you say anything about what it's about?"
  123. Kowa Brimaine: "He did not, no. Why?"
  124. Jaaster Taras: "Oh, that's not what I meant. I just...don't know that much about the history, is all. Mom doesn't really talk about her family. And they're back in Coerthas, so it's a bit of a hike."
  125. Rosalin Menoly: "That may be the best time window...I am distinctly not looking forward to the amount of questions I must answer."
  126. Waku Motohama: You're asking why? I'm a snoop, and I sure think it's interesting! Besides, I may be annoyed at him, but I don't wish a generations-long curse upon him or anything...
  127. Sayyida Mol tilted her head suddenly, her eyes going a bit out of focus. "I apologize Rosa, the spirits....I mean, I just remembered something! I have to go! We will figure out a time, I don't really keep a set schedule so I am flexible." She took off out of the room.
  128.
  129. Rosalin Menoly performs an Eastern bow before Sayyida Mol.
  130. Waku Motohama: ...Or death.
  131. Abelaire Cygnnoire nods with a smile. "Mm, I can understand. If you ever want company, you know how to find me, hmhm."
  132. Kowa Brimaine snorts. "So you're angry at him, but only want to see him to be nosy about what he wants.
  133. W'zairah Khai: "That wasn't convincing, Waku."
  134. Jaaster Taras grins back at Abel. "Sure, Abel, I'd like that."
  135. Waku Motohama blows a raspberry at them both. "You're so cynical! I'm mad at him for making us go to such lengths to save his life, but it's not like I don't want that life to ultimately be saved."
  136. Waku Motohama: So he can make better choices, if nothing else.
  137. Waku Motohama: ...and buy me a fruit basket.
  138. Kowa Brimaine: "That means you care about his well-being, not that you want to socialize. Which means you're nosing."
  139. Abelaire Cygnnoire smiles warmly. "I'll look forward to it."
  140. Waku Motohama throws her hands up in the air. "Everyone's a critic! At that point, what is 'how are you doing' if not being no--" She pauses, noticing Rosalin. "Oh, hello there! How are you doing?"
  141. Rosalin Menoly makes her way out of the room with quiet, steps, the pauses and turns her attention to the three gathered by the entrance, "...Did you each know each other before joining, I admit I am not around as much as I used to but you seem new, at least to me."
  142. Kowa Brimaine lets the subject drop - although the look Waku gets says clearly that she's Onto Her - and smiles at the approaching physician. "Miss Menoly, was it? Yes, we did. A few of us are recent arrivals from the same place."
  143. Jaaster Taras looks around the room a bit as the meeting filters out, then looks back at Abel. "So, what are you up to now? It's been a little while since we've last talked outside of long term care."
  144. Waku Motohama: Indeed. We're recent arrivals. Detective Motohama - a pleasure to make your acquaintence, Miss Menoly."
  145. Waku Motohama gives the woman a polite bow.
  146. Rosalin Menoly inclines her head, "Technically it would be Lady Menoly, but I have little use for such formalities anymore."
  147. Kowa Brimaine raises an eyebrow. "Oh?"
  148. Abelaire Cygnnoire: "Ah...well, Miss Yehn and I are working on making an enchanted star chart that will display the night sky even on the cloudiest nights. It's looking to be a fun and exciting project! Other than that, ah... Keeping to myself, mostly. Family life and such. What about you? Any exciting new adventures?"
  149. Waku Motohama: There's always some use for a comfortable formality or two.
  150. W'zairah Khai "Don't mind Waku. That's as formal as she gets. I'm W'airah. I'm sure we'll all get quite familar sooner rather than later."
  151. Waku Motohama: Hey, I can be perfectly formal! If you ventured East with me, I'd demonstrate my perfect poise eight days of the week.
  152. Rosalin Menoly raises an eyebrow at the Raen, "...Oh I like you already." Turns her attention to the others, "Allow me to extend a formal introduction then, Rosalin Menoly, medic-sergeant of the Immortal Flames, and chiurgeon of the Ashen Flames."
  153. Kowa Brimaine || Well, if they were playing that game... The miqo'te gives a polite bow. "Kowa Brimaine, astrologian-in-residence at the First Dicasterial Observatorium of Aetherial and Astrological Phenomena. A pleasure to meet you."
  154. Jaaster Taras 's eyes goggle at the thought of an enchanted star chart, but he blinks back to the present as Abel answers with a question of his own. "Well, nothing's been happening lately. Just mending, getting back into shape. Spending all this time around the clinic has let me meet a lot of the new folks, though. One of 'em, Cat - she was on the job where I messed up my leg again - wants to learn how to fight better, so I'll be teaching her some things when we're both healed up. (cont)
  155. Kowa Brimaine glances at the door. "And there is my guest."
  156. W'zairah Khai "I was quite popular on my little stint in Kugane and the Ruby sea I'll have you know." She winked at Waku playfully. "If we ever go you might hear one of my tunes there."
  157. Kah'li Tayuun wanders on in, taking soft steps that are only matched by a thud of a cane. "Hm..." He quietly speaks, pausing a moment as he listens around him.
  158. Jaaster Taras: " - I also agreed to take Kowa over there," and Jaaster pauses to nod in Kowa's direction, "to some of the harder to reach places in Coerthas, and Dravania, too. Should be a bit safer with the war over."
  159. Kowa Brimaine studies him, frowning at the sight of the cane. "Ser Kah'li, over her."
  160. Rosalin Menoly: "An Astralogian, that study has always fascinated me...I am rather aethrically impared however, I only appreciate such things from a distance unfortunately."
  161.
  162. Kowa Brimaine: "From what I heard, you have myriad talents of your own to be proud of."
  163. Kah'li Tayuun ears perk up, shfiting towards Kowa's voice. He slowly walks over, taking a spot nearby though spends a moment taking it slower, not sure if he judged the distance correctly. "Milady Kowa. Pleasure to hear from you again."
  164. Abelaire Cygnnoire smiles fondly at the mentions of Dravania. "It's been a long time since I've been out to Dravania. Two turns and...nine moons, now. Stars, how time passes... Sounds like you're having plenty of adventures already, with more on the way. Each friend is an adventure, after all, hmhm." He'd give a playful wink.
  165. Kowa Brimaine smiles at the group. "If you'll all excuse us, I had a tea engagement with my frined here."
  166. Rosalin Menoly: "Something of the sort, mostly by accident. I happened to be handy with a faint knowledge of medicine when I happened upon a recent battlefield. Some seven cycles later here I am."
  167. Kowa Brimaine bows. "I do hope to get to know you better soon, Miss Menoly."
  168. Waku Motohama flicks the tip of her tail. "Yes. Hello there."
  169. Rosalin Menoly performs an Eastern bow before Kowa Brimaine.
  170. Rosalin Menoly: "Have a pleasant even miss Kowa."
  171. Rosalin Menoly: ^eve
  172. Kah'li Tayuun ears perk up. "Oh. Hello Waku."
  173. Kowa Brimaine gives Waku a look that clearly says *behave*.
  174. W'zairah Khai Tail twitches, she might have to mediate with this tea party
  175. Waku Motohama: My, my! That sounds like a very exciting introduction to the practice. Rather like being thrown right off a boat when just learning how to swim.
  176. Waku Motohama is behaving.
  177. Waku Motohama is behaving so well.
  178. Waku Motohama || None of you know how much she wants some appreciation in the form of a basket of fruit, okay?
  179. Jaaster Taras twists his face up in a thoughtful frown. "Huh. Yeah, I guess you're right." The frown flips over into a goofy grin. "I didn't think of it like that. I should get hurt more of-" He cuts off abruptly. "Oh. No. No, I, uh...really shouldn't. That's dumb."
  180. Rosalin Menoly: "Oh that is a La Noscean tradition though, it may SEEM cruel, but..."
  181. Waku Motohama gives Rosalin a grin and a shrug. "Some say tradition, others say bullying. Who am I to make judgements such as these?"
  182. Abelaire Cygnnoire chuckles good-naturedly. "Injuries happen! But do try to be careful to avoid them, hmhmhm. I'm glad you're meeting so many folks. The people we meet and keep close shape who we are and who we become."
  183. Kowa Brimaine smiles very pointedly at the Raen and, after a moment of scanning her friend, gently takes his arm. "Do enjoy your evening."
  184. W'zairah Khai "She meant Impressive." tapped Waku with an elbow. "We all must start somehwhere."
  185. Rosalin Menoly turns to face W'zairah, "I do not believe I have ever had the chance to meet a proper bard before...I have heard stories of course, but never crossed paths with one. Detectives too are rare, what brings such specialized talents here, if I may somewhat nosey?""
  186. Waku Motohama || As soon as the two are out of earshot, she grumbles to Zairah, "Why am /I/ the odd one for still being a bit agitated about the man who threatened our lives, simply for the sake of his own pride?" A sigh, then a pout at Zairah. "I was saying it's impressive, and acknowledging that it must have been quite a challenge!"
  187. Waku Motohama: You are all quite cruel to me, you know. What did I ever do to deserve such treatment?
  188. Waku Motohama has done plenty, but that's neither here nor there. She looks to Rosalin. "All three of us have some degree of medical experience, as you so heard earlier, and this organization performs a wide variety of outreach efforts meaning that our eclectic skillsets were certain to find good use here."
  189. Jaaster Taras nods enthusiastically, then winces and brings his hand up to the side of his head. "Oof. I thought I was done with that. Now that the meeting's over, I'd probably better go lie down. The Advocate broke out the wine last night, and before I knew it, I was gone. Still paying for it."
  190. Waku Motohama: Also, Mister Bubba is an excellent example of aquatic character and form. I was very charmed by him and his perfectly polished tank upon my first visit to these halls.
  191. W'zairah Khai Smiles with her eyes to the Au ra. "It keeps you grounded. A bit of jesting at someone elses expense is healthy." She turned to Rosalin. "We've all stuck together our little group."
  192. Rosalin Menoly has to yank a gloved hand up quickly to cover a VERY undignified snork sound at the mention of Bubba. "W-well, it is best to travel in the company of friends. They are more valuable than anything."
  193.
  194. Abelaire Cygnnoire frowns briefly, then nods. He brings out a small pad and scribbles something down on it with one of the desk pens. "Take this note by the pharmacy, yeah? They'll give you something for your headache. Just don't drink any more alcohol when you take it, okay? Get some rest."
  195. Waku Motohama got her to laugh! Score one, Waku. "Indeed. What about you, Lady Menoly? It seems like you've had quite the adventerous history. How did you come to arrive here?"
  196. Jaaster Taras accepts the note with a small shudder. "Don't have to tell me twice. It'll be a while before I even look at the stuff." He stands up and smiles at Abel. "Let's go track down some coeurls or something soon, okay?"
  197. Abelaire Cygnnoire: "Aye, I'd like that."
  198. Jaaster Taras gives Abel a wave and heads off toward the pharmacy to exchange the note for something to make him feel more like a person again.
  199. Rosalin Menoly shakes her head some, "Well, truth be told I wander for the most part, it was the fact that Ettienne was here that anchored me for a time after my deployment to Ala Mhigo."
  200. W'zairah Khai Ears pricked at the mention of Coeurls, blinking over at Abelaire and Jaaster's conversation. She glances back at Rosalin, trying to get back on track
  201. W'zairah Khai "Wanderers are drawn here then? I'm here for similar reasoning"
  202. Waku Motohama: Oh? Were you friends prior?
  203. Rosalin Menoly: "I have known Etienne for...a long time, one might say an entire lifetime. I am not the most, warm of people to talk to, but I do cherish those close to me quite dearly."
  204. Waku Motohama tilts her head. "Were you acquainted as children?"
  205. Rosalin Menoly disagrees with you.
  206. Rosalin Menoly: "No, nothing like that. It is hard to explain to be entirely honest."
  207. Waku Motohama gives her a smile. "Well, you did imply a fair few oddities during the meeting - not that I'll pry too terribly much, of course. Seems a bit rude to do to a colleague during one's introduction."
  208. Rosalin Menoly: "My...ties to my younger days are all gone, the Calamity essentially claimed all I knew...so those I have met afterwards are akin to a new existence."
  209. W'zairah Khai "A Bond. that's for certain though. Correct?"
  210. Rosalin Menoly nods to you.
  211. Waku Motohama: ...My, more of a literal dawn of a new era for you than most, mm?
  212. W'zairah Khai apprises Rosalin. "You don't need to speak further of it right now."
  213. Rosalin Menoly nods to you.
  214. Rosalin Menoly: "Ettienne has known me for much of it, hence some of the closeness. Plus once someone sleeps on your couch there is a bond greater than words."
  215. Waku Motohama bursts out a laugh at that - now the tally between them is even. "Truer words have never been spoken. Speaking of sleep, I probably ought to head to the direction of my chambers myself. I have an early morning tomorrow."
  216. W'zairah Khai "I look forward to seeing more from you, Rosalin. Be sure to catch a tune from me every once in a while.I'm sure to practice in the gardens."
  217. Rosalin Menoly looks towards the windows, blinking. "Oh my, I did lose track of time. I do look forward to learning more of the both of you, and possibly your third though she traipsed off early."
  218. W'zairah Khai "You're bound to see the others from our group milling about."
  219. Rosalin Menoly: "Oh, there are more than just the three of you?"
  220. Waku Motohama: Oh, my my - what was the count at? Seven? Eight?
  221. Waku Motohama glances at Zairah.
  222. Rosalin Menoly looks at you in shock!
  223. Rosalin Menoly: "...So many..."
  224. W'zairah Khai Nods. "a fair share of the new blood here was ours." tweeked a grin. "I lost count."
  225. Waku Motohama: Birds of a feather flock together, and we had bonds that had already been tested.
  226. W'zairah Khai "speaking of- I'll need to speak with Enne on some...matters i was able to collect from Tailfeather. Hopefully she'll be in a good mood before i stumble on her"
  227. Waku Motohama glances at her wrist, and the feather charm attached to a red cord wound round it.
  228. Waku Motohama: I'll say a prayer to the spirits in hopes you'll be granted some manner of favor or another.
  229. Waku Motohama: Regardless. It has indeed been a pleasure Lady Menoly. Perhaps we'll swap story for story someday?
  230. Waku Motohama gives her a pointy grin.
  231. Rosalin Menoly: "Oh I have some fairly rediculous ones..."
  232. Rosalin Menoly performs an Eastern bow before you.
  233. Rosalin Menoly performs an Eastern bow before W'zairah Khai.
  234. Waku Motohama: My favorite kind!
  235. Rosalin Menoly: "Be well both of you."
  236. Waku Motohama: May your dreams be pleasant, and may you peacefully wake approximately ten minutes before you actually need to rise.
