  3. >You are Anon, the perfectly normal highschool student, and you are currently going about your perfectly normal morning routine which is as follows.
  4. >Wake up.
  5. >Lounge in bed.
  6. >Contemplate getting up.
  7. >Continue lounging.
  8. >Finally decide to get up
  9. >Lounge for 10 more minutes.
  10. >Get up.
  11. >Eat breakfast.
  12. >Shower.
  13. >Brush teeth.
  14. >Get dressed.
  15. >Collect school supplies.
  16. >Walk to school.
  17. >As you complete part 12 of your early morning ritual you glance at the calendar.
  18. >Wednesday, April 17.
  19. >It's been four months since Ryūko joined your class, and got pared with you on that stupid research assignment.
  20. >About three and half months since you received a 'B' on that same assignment.
  21. >And about two months since you started to realize that Ryūko occupied your thoughts more than most other people.
  22. >Something about her set your heart a flutter.
  23. >But you simply go on your merry way, the numbers on the calendar simply being tucked away as auxiliary information as you hurry out the door.
  24.
  25. >You are the coiled mass of life fibres clinging to Anon's scalp.
  26. >Unlike your unwitting host you actually take note of the date as it has been 4 months since that idiot godrobe had broken the picture frame he and you had been trapped in.
  27. >4 months since you had attached yourself to Anon's scalp.
  28. >4 long months of being scrubbed with shampoo, and hosed with water all while trying to hold on for dear life.
  29. >4 months.
  30. >And in two days you will finally have enough strength to finish your regeneration and give that bitch Ryūko what she deserves.
  31. >If you had a face your smile would strike fear into the hearts of children everywhere.
  32.
  33. >"Yo, Anon!"
  34. >Ryūko's voice grabs your attention, interrupting your slow walk to class.
  35. "Morning Ryūko, Senketsu."
  36. >You say tiredly as you stifle a yawn.
  37. >Ryūko and Senketsu exchange glances.
  38. >"You alright Anon? Ya look a little tired."
  39. >You give a dismissive wave as subvert another yawn.
  40. "I'm fine, it's just early."
  41. >"Eh, if you say so. Maybe you should go to sleep earlier."
  42. "Who are you, my mother?"
  43. >Ryūko points to the eye sewn to her uniform's neckerchief.
  44. >"His suggestion." She says with a chuckle.
  45. >You roll your eyes.
  46. "Whatever. Hey, what class do we have first?"
  47. >Ryūko thinks for a second.
  48. >"Uhh... I think it's history."
  49. "Great, I can sleep through that."
  50. >You say with smile.
  51. >Ryūko gives an exasperated sigh as the two of you resume the walk to the first class of the day.
  52.
  53. >You are Senketsu, a perfectly Bro-tier godrobe.
  54. >And you can feel something in the air.
  55. >Not just the boredom from listening to droning voice of the history teacher.
  56. >"And so the German forces were trapped in Russia at the mercy of the soviet troops..."
  57. >There's a malevolent force that permeates your fibres and gives you the feeling that something isn't right.
  58. "Ryūko?"
  59. >"Hmm?"
  60. "Do you feel... Strange at all?"
  61. >"Eh! What kind of question is that?!"
  62. >You roll your eye.
  63. "That heavy feeling. Are you getting it too?"
  64. >Ryūko casts an awkward glance in your direction.
  65. >"Should I be?"
  66. "..."
  67. >Ryūko smiles as she turns her attention back to the front of the class.
  68. >"If it's got you so troubled I'll keep my eye out."
  69. >You hope that last comment wasn't intentional.
  70.
  71. >Anon-O'-Vision™
  72. >(In stereo where available)
  73. >The loud chiming of Westminster Quaters over the school PA brings a smile to your face.
  74. >As the teacher excuses the class you begin collecting your materials.
  75. >After less than ceremoniously stuffing your supplies into your bag you make a bee-line for the door.
  76. "The sooner I get home the quicker I can sleep."
  77. >You mutter to yourself.
  78. >Despite napping through two classes today you still find yourself feeling fatigued, perhaps more so than before.
  79. >All you can think about is getting home and going to sleep.
  80. >In your single minded quest to return to your bed you weave in and out of the crowded hallways on your way out of the school building and into the sunlight.
  81. >You stop to give your eyes time to adjust to the light when you feel a tap on your shoulder, as Ryūko steps into your view.
  82. >"You ran off a the instant we we're let let out, you feeling okay?"
  83. "Uhh. Yeah I'm fine. Just eager to get home and take a nap."
  84. >Ryūko gives a concerned look or what looks like one, it's a tad difficult to tell with the sun still scorching your retinas.
  85. >"You sure you're sleeping enough? You slept through two periods today."
  86. >You half smile and nod your head.
  87. "I'm sure."
  88. >"If you say so. See you tomorrow." >Ryūko waves as she walks away.
  89. You wave in response and start walking.
  90. >You fail to take more than five steps however as you lose your balance and stumble forward falling face first onto the ground as you pass out.
  91.
  92. >Your eyes slowly peel open.
  93. >The blurry image your bedroom ceiling meeting your gaze as your mind slowly wakes up.
  94. >With a low groan you sit up and wipe the crust from the corners of your eyes.
  95. "Shit... What happened?"
  96. >You mutter to yourself as you look around.
  97. >Your bedroom surrounds you which puts you on edge.
  98. >The last thing you remember is the ground getting uncomfortably close to your face.
  99. >How you returned to your house is beyond you.
  100. >Cautiously you run your hands over your face, thankfully nothing seems swollen or out of place.
  101. >As you flop back onto your bed the door swings open and collides with the door-stop the loud thump startles you.
  102. >"You're awake!"
  103. >You turn towards the doorway to see Ryūko beaming at you.
  104. "Ryūko?"
  105. You say.
  106. "Did you bring me here?"
  107. >"Yeah, you're heavier than I expected."
  108. >You blush slightly and turn away from her to hide your reddened cheeks.
  109. "Uh... Thanks."
  110. >"No problem."
  111. >Turning back to face Ryūko again you give her an inquisitive look.
  112. "Did you really carry me all the way here?"
  113. >"Yeah, why? Would you've preferred I'd dragged ya?"
  114. You smile and laugh.
  115. "No, I'm fine with being carried, just didn't expect it is all."
  116. >Ryūko smiles.
  117. >The both of you sit in awkward silence for an uncomfortable length of time before Ryūko breaks the silence.
  118. >"Well... If you're awake now then I guess I'll get going." Ryūko says as she heads for the door.
  119. >"Try and get some proper sleep Anon, I don't wanna carry you home again tomorrow."
  120. >With a wave she's gone, seconds pass and you hear the front door open and close.
  121. >With a sigh you get up and head for the kitchen.
  122. >Passing out works up an appetite ya know.
  123. >Sitting on the table is a plate covered in tinfoil and a note.
  124. >"Was saving these for the walk home, thought you'd need them more than me.
  125. >-Ryūko"
  126. >Peeling back the tinfoil reveals four breaded croquettes.
  127. >With a smile and a sigh you stuff one of the fried pockets of heaven into your mouth and chew.
  128. "Ryūko..."
  129.
  130. >Nvidia GSenk technology
  131. >There it was again.
  132. >That ominous feeling.
  133. >It hadn't really gone away from earlier so much as it had faded, but it had become more noticeable now.
  134. "Ryūko tell me you can feel that."
  135. >"Barely, is that what you were on about this morning?"
  136. "Yes."
  137. >Ryūko breaths out heavily.
  138. >"Do you think we should be worried?"
  139. "We should be on guard. Worrying will only make us paranoid."
  140. >"I suppose you're right." Ryūko says with a sigh.
  141. >The rest of the walk home is spent in silence.
