  1. I know spotlights are over but here is an updated version and in depth explanation of the Zygarde team I sent to add to the archives for any future UBERs endeavors. peaked at #6 (1807) and still climbing.
  2.
  3. Arc-Dark balance
  4.
  5. This is a team that functions very well against the current balance meta in UBERs, and can break down stall if played correctly.
  6.
  7. Arc-Dark is the meat of the team. It is the reason this team can function and what it was essentially built around. This team has the tools to prepare for a late game arc sweep against any team that isn’t webs HO. CM mono attacking arc can beat down stall, especially if your opponent makes the mistake of running non-confide Chansey/blissey.
  8.
  9. Arc-dark however very much appreciates sweeping a team with some key players gone. Mixed PDon proves very good at this due to its ability to pressure 90% of the mons on stall with OH + Blades. Rock tomb and TWave round out the set to give speed control against the faster more offensive teams and to deal with ho-oh and Mence better.
  10.
  11. Zygarde came in to round out the offensive, bulk breaking core.
  12. Sub DD Z-move can work great against stall teams, especially because Arc-dark baits in Chansey/Blissey very hard, and Zygarde can set up on any variant of these mons with at the least a free substitute. Sub DD also gives a nice anti Smeargle lead because offensive teams can be dismantled by Zygarde easily, or at the least have a mon crippled by glare.
  13.
  14. Now I had to focus a bit on the defense of the team, there are some mons that you just can’t be weak to or you can’t succeed in UBERs.
  15.
  16. I decided the start with a defensive Yveltal. It serves as an amazing blanket check to many threats in the tier. Physical PDon, EKiller, Necro-DM, and many physical attackers on the tier while also giving amazing support in Defog and Toxic to cripple all common switch ins but Magearna and other steel types not weak to Foul Play.
  17.
  18. Now I needed the monster itself Necro-DM. Xern dismantled this completely at the moment so I decided SpD was the way. Giving me rocks as I opted for TWave on PDon was also amazing. Toxic gave me the 4th mon of 5 to have status that can be clutch against both bulky teams and offensive teams.
  19.
  20. Lastly I desperately need speed control. Deo-A, Mewtwo-Y, Marshadow, etc. were all able to be beaten but it was very hard if I let a mom get too weak. So I decided scarf xern was a perfect fit. Amazing offensive capabilities and helped my team with the Yveltals and opposing arc-darks of the tier, while still helping in the stall and balance match-ups by just being a power house. Not to mention my team is stupid good against necro-DM.
  21.
  22. This team is great against stall and balance, but there are a few key mons it is weak to.
  23. 1. Mega Luc. This thing OHKOs like everything at +2, thankfully it can only safely set-up on Necro or Arc-Dark, as 3 mons OHKO luc and Yveltal does too much with foul play. Enough to put it in arc-dark range. This mons must be played very carefully against. The good thing is that your opponent doesn’t know at team preview your Zygarde/PDon sets and if you’re ultra nexrozma or not, so mega luc may be undervalued thinking that you have multiple answers.
  24. 2. Opposing Mono attacking Arc-forms. Xern will outspeed and 2HKO darkceus at +1 SpD however refresh stops toxic which is how this team can deal with other CM arc-forms. Arc-Ground/Fairy can easily be beaten by toxic on one of the mons that runs it but refresh is busted. Arc-Flying has a harder time setting up, but is still a powerhouse and possibly harder to deal with due to its solid typing against this team.
  25. 3. POgre is a threat but you do have many mons that can take one hit and weaken it fairly easily.
  26.
  27. Basically this is a team that is great to ladder with and has it’s really solid match ups against stall/bulk teams anywhere.
