Didn't 2018 start like last week? Wait it's already almost March? Oh shiiiiiiiii..............

This year be flying by so far! You know what else be flying? My speedruns! Yesterday I got sweet back to back TY 1 PB's, and then today I got a nice Crash Warped 105% speedrun! It's pretty HYPE right now, and it can only get better from here. Focus for the next month is simple. Goal 1 - Mario Party in preparation of Octathlon. Goal 2 - Get an even better TY 1 any% time, and then move on to 100% TY 1. Goal 3 - Crash Warped 105%. I can improve so much in that game still, and I really want to. Goal 4 - start finishing all these damn 100 games games that I've started. I just started Conker's Bad Fur Day on Friday, and I want to finish that, Eartbound, and Banjo-Tooie still. This friday, I will be going home though for a week, which means starting Saturday these current plans will halt while i focus on runs that I can only do while I'm home. This includes Pokemon catch em all (On DPAD!!!), Super Mario Sunshine, and maybe other Gamecube games. All in all, I got a lot of stuff I want to get going on, so lets do this!

	Finally, this past weekend I got the idea from chat to start doing top 10 lists in each of these pastebins. You guys can suggest top 10's in my discord. Anything goes (but don't do something stupid). So with that being said, this is where the regular pastebin ends, and the top ten begins!

TOP TEN HYPE!!!

For this week, I went with top 10 Non-Legendary Pokemon as suggested by Spyro (I added the Non-Legendary part because I might do a separate legendary list at some point). He linked me to this pretty cool tool which helps you narrow down your choices, and without it I don't think I would have ended up with as well thought out of a list. Here's a link if you guys wanna use it - https://www.dragonflycave.com/favorite.html . I used it to narrow it down to 18, and then narrowed it down on paper from there. I also might have grouped together pokemon from the same evolution family, just to have differences. So, without further ado...

10. Magnezone

Magnemite and Magneton I give maybe two shits about, but Magnezone always looked like a cool design to me. With Gen IV being my first generation, it's no surprise the majority of these pokemon are gen IV Pokes. Overall though, I like magnezone probably most because of his role in the PMD series as the sheriff. I also have a collection of little pokemon figurines that I love, and my magnezone one is one of my favorites in that group.

9. Porygon-Z

This entry is really for the whole Porygon line. As a guy who loves computers obviously, the idea of a literal digital pokemon is pretty cool. Unfortunately, one of my favorite things about the Porygon line is the tragic backstory regarding Porygon's one anime appearance (I won't go into it here, but it can be found easily on google). However, what might have made me love Porygon-Z specifically was it's Pokepark Wii appearance, where it moves so sporadically I thought it was funny as a kid.

8. Chandelure

While many probably lump chandelure with the other random ass Gen V Pokes (Looking at you, ice cream cone and garbage bag), I truly likes the idea of chandelure. It being a ghost/fire type attracted it to me, as those are two types I've always enjoyed. However, I think the real reason Chandelure is this high up is because to me, it was the diamond in the rough. As many of you may or may not know, Im not particularly fond of Gen V. For a Generation that introduced around 156 Pokemon, you'd think I'd like at least a quarter of them. And yet....I got nothing. Only a couple really stood out to me, and even then those ones were nothing too special. Litwick, Lampent, and Chandelure though I thought was a pretty cool idea though, and because of that, it quickly became my favorite Gen V Pokemon.

7. WIGGLYWOO! (Tangela)

Tangela is a walking ball of noodles, what else needs to be said! However, it was catch em all which ultimately had me fall in love with tangela, known as Wigglywoo in the community for some reason I do not understand. It's a funny looking pokemon, and I love him for it.

6. Dusknoir

Dusknoir would have been an irrelevant pokemon to me, if it wasn't for Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time. If you do not know, the PMD series I might love more than the main series. It has led me to love pokemon I never would have cared much about, including Emolga, Dunsparce, Bidoof, Pancham, Nuzleaf, and Grovyle. However, the character of Dusknoir will always be my favorite. (Spoilers for PMD EoT incoming FYI, if anyone cares) His reveal to be a villain shocked me as a kid, and made my head turn upside-down, as I had no idea it was coming! And later on, when I discovered Sky's Special Episodes and the ultimate fate of Dusknoir and how he turned to the good side right at the end, it really moved me. Dusknoir will always hold a cool place in my heart.

5. Ditto

When I first picked up pokemon, I knew nothing of ditto. Until I discovered him to be a er hem, master in the bedroom. Needless to say, I caught a ditto at level 17, and immediatly put him in the daycare (This is Diamond, btw). He remained in that daycare for probably three years, giving me hundreds of eggs. When I finally pulled him out of there, he leveled up something like 50 levels. While this is what got me interested in Ditto, ultimately the Failed Mew Clone theory is what made me love him more. Finally, cooltrainer as a glitch in Pokemon blue sold me onto the Ditto HYPE train! And Ditto's HYPE Train has no brakes!

4. Torterra

Here is where the list got really hard. These top 4 are all very special to me, and it was hard ranking them. Turtwig was my first pokemon ever, obtained waaaaay back on Christmas day, 2007. My beloved turtwig, whom i nicknamed Twig that day, stuck by me through the thick and thin. And I am proud to say that through no cheating or fowl means, my level 5 Turtwig became a level 93 Torterra! I believe everyone has a special place in their heart for their first starter, and for me, Turtwig was awesome!

3. Magmortar

Remember how I said Magnezone was special because of his figurine. That's one of several reasons I also love Magmortar. I mean, lets be honest, He's a fucking badass! He has two literal cannons for arms for fucks sake! He looks like so much of a badass that that was all I needed to love magmortar.

2. Hitmonchan

These top two should be no surprise to anyone, but here we go. Hitmonchan for some odd reason has always been a favorite of mine. I think the reason is is Hitmonchan has a fantastic type coverage in that it can learn Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, Fire Punch, and Mach Punch. All four punch moves on a boxer, all four different types. While competitively Hitmonchan is probably not amazing, Hitmonchan is a favorite of mine to use.

1. Blaziken

Let's be honest.....we all knew this was coming. I mean, I'm the guy who went around AGDQ2018 with my Torchic plush for crying out loud! Torchic was I think my second starter, as I think Ruby was my second game (It might have been after heartgold, I can't recall really). Regardless, Blaziken as a pokemon, like Magmortar, is a FUCKING BAD ASS!!! He can learn a few really nice fire and fighting moves, and While Blaziken is a bad ass, torchic is also cute as fuck! All in all, even before I put thought into this list, I knew Blaziken was number 1

And that's my top ten. Earlier I mentioned how I had it narrowed to 18 at one point. WHile some of them included legendaries (and as such I won't mention them), heres a quick list of honorable mentions - Seviper, Serperior, Gardevoir, Metagross.
