  1. [16:50] Bruno took his sister all the way to the docks with naught but a verbal lead. His attention places itself upon the dark horizon. The line between sky and sea blurs in the distance, his focus faltering as he spoke.
  2.
  3. "Achlys has every ounce of power one could want. He had a home of his own, perhaps even a dimension for him alone should he wish to keep it. Yet, he asked his daughter to paint that mural. To paint that... new world that he intended to live in." Bruno states, finally bringing along the point that he wanted to make.
  4.
  5. "Does it not strike you as odd that in that dream he was treated badly? It feels realistic considering what we've learned, yet, to give up everything only to be mistreated by his family is... unusual."
  6. (Bruno pyr Aertas)
  7. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  8.
  9. [17:08] Led to the docks in the dark of the night where pushing waves reflected moonlight but it still wasn't bright enough to see.
  10.
  11. She stares out to the sea, to the horizon, untouched lands and open for miles. Vast. Endless.
  12.
  13. "Mistreated children are anomalies. They will always want, no matter what." Matryona's gaze didn't part from the waves. "Were I to think on the matter sympathetically, and pretend to care for reasons aside from scribing purposes,"
  14.
  15. "History stains. It does not wash away. You cannot hide what has happened, only make improvements for what will happen. Primordials falter in those ways, I've learned."
  16.
  17. "They evolve in strength yet lack in the department to move on and use history to better themselves. They will forever see what has happened rather than what will."
  18.
  19. "Flawed beings, yet striving to unobtained heights in terms of raw power."
  20. (Matryona pyr Docro)
  21. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  22.
  23. [17:17] Bruno allowed his sister to say her piece and share her thoughts. The more she explained, the more he felt as if the similarities were far too close. Hel, even her rejection of him as a person the moment she saw the darkness within was something that had happened to Achlys. The world shunned him, why else would humanity have to be climbed above and broken through?
  24.
  25. "Is that how you see me?" He asked, though he hardly gave her the time to answer.
  26.
  27. "I understand what that painting represents. I am not sure I would strive for the same, though I cannot expect what I would and would not want if I rose to that level of raw power."
  28.
  29. Hands shuffled into his pockets as he squinted lightly, attempting to better see the horizon that melded together. Stars reflecting upon the waters helped little. Words spoken by another came to his mind in that moment, and were certainly shared.
  30.
  31. "Bound forever to those with whom we share blood..."
  32. (Bruno pyr Aertas)
  33. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  34.
  35. [17:28] "Yes." She spoke without an ounce of hesitation. "Sad, lonely, cast out- Yet powerful. You fixate upon the small things in the past instead of owning it and simply moving forward and allowing the flow of time to repair."
  36.
  37. "No matter is strength, Achlys will forever be a broken, whimpering being. His own depictions left me surprised when seeing him in the flesh."
  38.
  39. "If you let the past continue to define you then you're not improving. You're not reaching heights and enhancing who you can be already."
  40.
  41. Bruno lived a life a million times better than a Primordial could ever hope for. "Blood leaves our bond, I suppose. If bound forever then you shouldn't dwell on the small."
  42.
  43. "Forever is eternal. Eternal is forever. There's no end, infinite."
  44. (Matryona pyr Docro)
  45. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  46.
  47. [17:39] While laced with insults, Matryona's words almost seemed like they were encouraging him to no longer think of how she may see him, or to worry over anything that could happen. He would have to think upon them at a later date, however, his attention being stolen by her last few words.
  48.
  49. ".. Except that you signed away your soul to him. In blood."
  50.
  51. His own words brought a slight tone of anger. He was definitely not pleased by the result of it all. To think that his own sister would allow herself to be under a Primordial? While if there was any that were to hold his sister's soul, Achlys was the only one that Bruno would vehemently fight back against.
  52.
  53. .. But still.
  54.
  55. "I suppose I'll have to fix that."
  56.
  57. Whether it was something he had thought about for a long while or a sudden idea that came to his mind would remain unclear, however Bruno pulled out from his pocket a small red gem as he turned to face Matryona.
  58.
  59. "For now-" He placed the gem in her hands. "Stay alive."
  60. (Bruno pyr Aertas)
  61. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  62.
  63. [17:39] {Item} You drop Spellstone (Jammer).
  64. [17:45] "For the greater good of the Empire. What then is the value of a soul? A concept then? I've no true need for it. It does not define me- Something that cannot be seen nor felt."
  65.
  66. Even after, she's the same. "I serve the Machine and Machine only." She echoes her words spoken then and there.
  67.
  68. "And if I'm to part with something I hold no value with? And be whisked into eternal war when I'm already living in one?"
  69.
  70. He turned towards her and she turns as well, staring as he precured a gem from his person- Small, red. Dainty, gloved hands reach out for it.
  71.
  72. Two blinks.
  73.
  74. "I see." Her gaze soon met his. "I've no plans on dying." No. She's eternally perfect.
  75. (Matryona pyr Docro)
  76. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  77.
  78. [17:50] "Eternal is forever." He merely answered in response to her seemingly caring little for where her soul would find itself after she dies. There was a certain cold to his tone, though that was expected of an Aertas. Whether Matryona realized it or not the mere fact that she was his sister, that she saw him in the same way that she saw Achlys at his weakest meant that he, too, should strive for this New World.
  79.
  80. One in which he reclaims his sister's soul for himself. Ryker's soul. Those who grew into family over time. For being seated atop the world with his wife at his side no longer sufficed. Not after he'd seen the pain the Primordial carried.
  81.
  82. "I'll see you later." He states, moving away - past her.
  83.
  84. A strange conversation, though theirs were hardly regular.
  85. (Bruno pyr Aertas)
  86. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  87.
  88. [17:52] Value skewed for the two. She did not value her soul in the slightest while Bruno? Perhaps he did. He sounds angry, cold.
  89.
  90. She glances at him as he walks past, making his way from the docks. She lingers, stone clutched in her hand.
  91.
  92. "See you later."
  93.
  94. Silence.
  95.
  96. "I appreciate the gem."
  97. (Matryona pyr Docro)
