→ BACKGROUND :
  + the kim family had always been a tight-knit family, with its own house-held secrets and legacies. her and her twin sister seulhee where the besets of friends, as for all they were all each other had. her parents were strict, making sure that their daughters weren't blinded by the harmful realities of the world outside of their royal life. thus, seulhee and jiyeon spent their childhood hidden behind the walls of their grand estate. they would have planned play-dates as children, strictly at their own home, with friends hand-picked by the parents of the family, hyunji and juhyuk, as all they wanted was for their children to remain innocent and hidden from danger. the twin's relationship with their parents wasn't a bad one, they never questioned as to why they could never go to their friends house, or even go for an afternoon walk, they usually shut their mouths and stuck with what they knew best, don't question anything.

it was around the stage of puberty when the twin's interest of the outside world began to grow. seulhee was the most curious of the pair, longing staring out the window of their shared bedroom awaiting for a time where her parents would let her visit the shops, meet new people, maybe even find a boyfriend. although with this longing, neither of them spoke up to their parents, they were so used to keeping their mouths shut when it came to questions, they didn't even know how to bring one up.

seulhee was only sixteen when she decided to sneak out one night, out of the pair she was the one who finally decided to go against the rules of their royal family. jiyeon tried to stop her, she knew it was going to end badly, but as much as she tried to persuade her twin sister, nothing worked. the pair got into a fight, jiyeon tried to stop her, she knew that something wasn't right, but regardless of her persuasion seulhee went anyway.

jiyeon sat in bed awake all night, awaiting for her twin sister to return from her late night adventure, but she never did. seulhee was believed to be deceased, no one knew where she went, or how she even died.

as jiyeon began to grow older, living her royal life without her best friend by her side, she began to grow quite an attitude. she would no longer shut her mouth when in need of an answer and she was not afraid to speak her mind. her relationships began to drop with her parents, and eventually fights were a lot more common. her parents believed her attitude formed out of grief, but jiyeon didn't even know if it was true herself. if there was one thing that remained the same, it was the fact that she was still yet to go behind the walls of their estate, as for maybe she thought that the same thing that happened to seulhee would happen to her...

the first thing people would notice when they see jiyeon is her aura. jiyeon has the confident and strong auras coming out from her, and she is indeed a confident person. jiyeon is the type who loves it when she is given the chance to speak in front of many people, as she would say her words loud and clear, and she would also stares confidently at her audience, not like some other people who prefer to look at the ceilings or the floors when they talk in front of many people. other than being confident, jiyeon is also someone who is very brave. she always stands up for what is right in her opinion, and would defend her loved ones even though there would be so much risks. she is also brave when it comes to something strange or dangerous; as she would be the type who loves to try something new.

even though jiyeon is seen as this confident, strong and brave figure, she was never always like that. before her twin sister supposedly died, jiyeon was extremely quiet, shy and in some ways an introvert. but some say the real you comes out when you least expect it, and maybe all of this time jiyeon was actually a confident person, un-afraid to speak her mind, and she was just waiting for the right time in her life for her true personality to show.

so we know that jiyeon is truly a strong, confident, brave person, but she can also tend to be slightly over dramatic. on occasions, she can be so over-dramatic that she makes the people around her highly annoyed. it's like jiyeon acts this way without knowing it. she has no shame when it comes to expressing her feelings, or screaming (at her parents) over the smallest of things.

  + jiyeon finally persuades herself to sneak out one night and she's is really nervous that something bad would happen. somehow meets jeongguk, i will leave that up to author-nim.

→ HIS FIRST IMPRESSION :
  + she was a peculiar person, seeming so confident but at the same time so lost. he was instantly attracted to her smile, it was one that mirrored his own. he was instantly intrigued by her, and suddenly wanted to know why she was out so late at night and why she seemed so nervous. he didn't even notice her royalty status.

→ HER FIRST IMPRESSION :
  + at first she thought he was going to hurt her, going to kill her like how seulhee died. but eventually she realised he was just a normal boy whom was running to fetch some milk from the corner store. she was also quite surprised that he didn't recognise who she was.

→ HOW DOES HE ACT AROUND HER :
  + BEGINNING:
he asked too many questions, and most jiyeon would never reply to. he was always so determined to get some sort of information out of her, he was purely intrigued. he grew a sudden liking towards her pale skin, and ended up on calling her snowflake because snowflakes were beautiful.

  + MIDDLE:
he continued bugging her to sneak out after he find out about her social status, he didn't know why but all he knew was the he wanted to see her. he liked the way how she wasn't afraid to speak her mind and he was some-how attracted to her confidence.

  + END:
they're still extremely close. what i wanted for their relationship was that, even after they became a couple, nothing'll change. they'll still tease each other, mess around and all that jazz.

→ HOW DOES SHE ACT AROUND HIM :
  + BEGINNING:
jiyeon as confident as she comes across, is scared, she doesn't know this boy and for all she knows he could be the one who harmed her sister. she told herself not to trust anyone.

  + MIDDLE:
as he wants to see her more, she continues to sneak out of their family estate with much persuasion. at first she was hesitant to do so, as she didn't feel overly comfortable sneaking out and wondering the streets the first time. eventually, she becomes accustomed to meeting him at their meeting spot, and sneaking out doesn't faze her anymore. she is still uncomfortable with the use of skinship , as one night he rested his head on her shoulder and she nearly peed herself.

  + END:
jiyeon doesn't know why exactly but she's totally comfortable with having skinship with jeongguk, despite the fact that she's not exactly fond of skinship in the first place. she is more comfortable around him, and not afraid to speak her mind, she could scream about the silliest things and she still wouldn't care.

→ RELATIONSHIP :
  + BEGINNING:
he's just there to listen to her crazy rants. she keeps seeing him because she finally feels like she is free around him, no longer trapped under her royalty status nor her family.

  + MIDDLE:
he begins to initiate kinship, especially when she is in mid-rant or even on a sudden outrage, he would delicately hold her hand or rest his head innocently on her shoulder. she would now look forward to meeting up with him, and not in a way because she finally feels free, but in a way because she likes the way he makes her heart flutter.

  + END:
they never admit nor confess to each other that they are dating, they just know it. although, there is a time that comes where jiyeon knows she can't keep on sneaking out, and that moment dawns on the both of them. moment where she would have to speak to her parents and/or introduce them to jeongguk.
