Metallo’s red robotic eye flashed on.
Then his human eye opened.
The cyborg looked around his surroundings. When his glance fell upon Luthor, he spoke in a low, angry voice. “Lex Luthor.”
Luthor gave a little nod. “In the flesh.”
“You…must…die,” Metallo growled.
“Eventually, yes,” Luthor admitted. “Unless my scientists find a solution to that little problem. In the meantime, I’d—”
CHHHHRRRRRANGK! Metallo snapped the metal clamp on his right arm free of the platform it was bolted into. Moore and Patel jumped back, terrified.
“Now, John,” Luthor warned. “Don’t do anything foolish.”
CHHHHRRRRRANGK! Metallo broke the clamp on his left arm. His legs were still restrained, but both arms were free. Before Luthor could step back, out of his reach, the cyborg grabbed him and lifted him off the floor.
