  1. 12:06:34 PM+CloverwindQuickdanceTrump has multiple, serious mental health disorders.
  2. 12:07:25 PM@Godrici wouldnt say that. he certainly is eccentric and has a very bizarre speach pattern
  3. 12:08:00 PM+CloverwindQuickdanceYou wouldn't say that.
  4. 12:08:15 PM+CloverwindQuickdancehttp://thehill.com/homenews/news/355490-psychologists-march-through-ny-to-call-for-trumps-removal
  5. 12:08:28 PM+CloverwindQuickdanceThe group — which included more than 100 psychologists and mental health professionals — are pushing for Trump to be ousted from his post, according to The New York Post.
  6. 12:09:48 PM+CloverwindQuickdanceMental health experts have repeatedly and intensely violated the Goldwater Rule in order to bring attention to the dangers of Trump's mind.
  7. 12:09:55 PM+CloverwindQuickdanceBut "you wouldn't say that"
  8. 12:10:07 PM@Godricim not a psychologist
  9. 12:10:20 PM@Godricnone of them have examined him in a clinical maner
  10. 12:11:12 PM→ Fundy_Mobile has joined
  11. 12:11:13 PM@Godricand as for psychology as a profession its not hard to find one to make a disagreement with a diagosis with another.
  12. 12:11:18 PMⓘ Mabus set mode +v Fundy_Mobile
  13. 12:11:45 PM+CloverwindQuickdanceGodric: Do you think none of them have considered your point about "none of them have examined him a clinical maner [sic]"
  14. 12:11:59 PM+CloverwindQuickdanceThere have literally been conferences and possibly updating the Goldwater Rule because of Trump
  15. 12:12:22 PM+CloverwindQuickdanceThere have been lengthy interviews with top mental health professionals about what you do when you can't directly examine, but you have a lot of information on the public record
  16. 12:12:55 PM+CloverwindQuickdanceTrump has been described by at least one leading mental health expert as 'the clearest example of narcissitic personality disorder in recorded history'
  17. 12:13:11 PM+CloverwindQuickdance'I plan on using Trump in my future classes as the canonical example of NPD'
  18. 12:14:10 PM← Fundamenta|ist has quit (Read error: Operation timed out)
  19. 12:15:02 PM@Godriclook i dont disagree he appears to and does indeed display such behaviors but i like diagonisis's be to thorough and not done from afar in your armchair
  20. 12:15:02 PM+CloverwindQuickdancehttps://www.nytimes.com/2017/11/30/opinion/psychiatrists-trump.html
  21. 12:15:56 PM+CloverwindQuickdanceIn 1973, the American Psychiatric Association (APA) responded by adopting what it straightforwardly called the Goldwater Rule, forbidding members from offering a diagnosis of a public figure they have not themselves examined — and even then, not without that person’s consent.
  22. 12:16:25 PM+CloverwindQuickdanceThat is precisely the position another professional group, the American Psychoanalytic Association (APsaA), has now taken. In an internal email, the association urged its 3,500 members to speak their minds on the matter of presidential mental health, and if they consider Trump unwell, to say so. According to the health and medicine website STAT, some members of the group have gone so far as to conclude that not only is it alright to weigh in on the matter of Presidential sanity, but that doctors have an affirmative “duty to warn.”
  23. 12:17:04 PM@Godricokay... i mean.. not like what i think is going to stop people calling other people mentaly ill or whatever
  24. 12:17:20 PM+CloverwindQuickdanceFinally, the Goldwater Rule, while masquerading as enlightened, actually betrays an outdated divide between physical and mental health. If President Dwight Eisenhower, who at one time had been a four-pack-a-day smoker, had shown any outward symptoms of cardiovascular disease before his 1955 heart attack, it’s unlikely anyone would have been reluctant to ask whether the 60-year-old veteran of a World War was up to campaigning for reelection. Certainly no one was reluctant after he did get sick. So why stay decorously silent when behavioral symptoms are just as obvious?
  25. 12:17:33 PM+CloverwindQuickdanceGodric: You've used metaphoric language in "from afar in your armchair"
  26. 12:17:41 PM@Godricuh huh
  27. 12:17:42 PM+CloverwindQuickdanceThis metaphoric language his highly inaccurate
  28. 12:18:00 PM+CloverwindQuickdanceWe have extensive records of Trump for decades, and many experts have investigated that thoroughly
  29. 12:18:31 PM@GodricCloverwindQuickdance how do you know?
  30. 12:18:31 PM+CloverwindQuickdanceIt's a valid conversation to discuss the relative methodology value of that v. standard diagnostic practice, but it's not "from afar in your armchair"
  31. 12:18:57 PM+CloverwindQuickdanceYou can make a serious argument that the data available on Trump is *substantially greater* than what is typically leveraged in standard diagnostic practice
  32. 12:18:59 PM+CloverwindQuickdanceHow do I know?
  33. 12:19:11 PM+CloverwindQuickdanceThere are hundreds of articles written by mental health experts on this topic
  34. 12:19:15 PM+CloverwindQuickdanceI don't understand your question
  35. 12:19:16 PM← |WP| has quit (Quit:)
  36. 12:19:19 PM@Godricyes how do you know how much work they put in
  37. 12:19:49 PM+CloverwindQuickdanceUmm, they state what they've done to the interviewers at the The Atlantic or the New York Times
  38. 12:20:05 PM@Godricdid they just watch 2 few hours of trumps greatist hits on the apperentice?
  39. 12:20:11 PM Ignoring Godric!*@*
  40. 12:20:14 PM+CloverwindQuickdanceGodric: I ended my conversation with you
  41. 12:20:23 PM+CloverwindQuickdanceReason: Profound intellectual dishonesty
  42. 12:20:32 PM+CloverwindQuickdanceI will save this conversation for posterity
