- Team I might drop out vs. Crim's Team
- Crim starts with speed. Alita has supersonic projectile speed because of SFX (?) and good finger speed on top of this, and makes a more objective measurement of speed that has her performing various complex actions in under .5 seconds. He claims Arthur can react to supersonic attacks from short distances based on ... something in those two scans I'm not really following (I'm going to guess the sound FX again, which comes off as weak for objective speed) and Crim once again follows with supposedly more objective stuff with the arrow feats (the scans are again extremely vague and don't give me enough context to take what Crim is saying at face value). Jin's stuff seems to be the most well evidenced out of these three but like with the previous scans it suffers from a lack of context and there's a bit of a disconnect between what Crim is claiming and what his characters are doing. Durability is thankfully a lot more straightforward, Alita durability/endurance good, Arthur's building feat seems ok, the scaling comes off as vague, and the kick feat is good. Jin has good (?) durability / shielding (?). Alita/Arthur have heat resistance. Alita has good heat, Arthur has good piercing/heat, Jin has ranged piercing and precog but it isn't really elaborated on what he does with precog, the stuff that's shown doesn't seem very relevant for combat.
- Kerd opens with general offensive arguments, starting with Garou being fast, skilled, and strong, all of which seem very solid. Spidey is showcased to be fast with feats I honestly wouldn't expect to be fast, but so far Kerd's interpretation helps make the context more clear. He has good strength combined with good agility due to webslinging memes, and has generally good physicals for the tier. For Sasuke I'm genuinely impressed by the breakdown of his movement speed (I actually remember Goji's first post for that gif), and he has good striking. An emphasis is placed on his ranged abilities with un-intuitive attack vectors, with fire that has kinetic force relevant for the tier, lightning spears/needles that have piercing, and snakes that can restrain characters with argued in-tier strength. Kerd moves on to attack Crim's characters and goes over a lot of issues I mentioned earlier, starting with Alita and Arthur's concussive durability being worse due to the surface area fairy and I agree with him that Jin's scans aren't explained that well. The next section focuses on precog and actually explains why and how the precog/attack reading is relevant for combat, and overall sets up Kerd's team as being fluid, maneuverable, and most importantly fast when compared to Crim's team comp. Not sure what else to say, it's a GOOD response.
- Crim starts off with rebuttals, and I don't particularly see how Alita's endurance or Jin's body composition makes Garou useless and Kerd argued Garou's striking too well for me to buy that Jin no-sells it. Even then that's just taking the scans at face value, there's still a severe disconnect between how specific Crim is and how specific his scans are. Kerd's point of the fire/electricity having concussive force and piercing appears to have flew over Crim's head as he re-argues his team's heat resist, although the point about Kerd not establishing speed for his projectiles is relevant. He rehashes Alita / Arthur swords good but kind of just leaves it at that despite Kerd's R1 arguments. Spider-Man can get hit so his precog is bad (?), Garou can't deflect swords (?), Sasuke can't precog faster characters. I still have no idea what Jin does with his prediction that's relevant to the fight.
- Kerd's R2 could basically be described as him verbalizing all the complaints I've brought up on Crim so far and more while just shutting down nearly all of Crim's points. The only thing it doesn't really address is Crim's point about Sasuke's projectile speed but Crim didn't really focus on that point to begin with nor does it make a difference in the overall match even if Crim won that point. Even a few of Crim's stronger points on Garou seemed really off when Kerd brought up Garou's usual striking spots still being relevant, lol'd at the sword bit. His team strong/fast, opponent's team slow/weak, and it's sold well.
- Kerd wins. I don't think much of an explanation is necessary for this one, Crim was tripping over himself for most of the debate and talked past Kerd while basically just restating his R1 arguments in his R2. Checking through Crim's scans was also a massive pain that could have been alleviated by either including more context in the scans or giving explanations that better matched the scans themselves. While there was some relevant arguments that were mixed in there, far too much of it wasn't really detailed or elaborated when compared to the detailed analysis of the fight Kerd provided.
