Review:
The windswept Stonetalon Mountains escaped most of the chaos of the Gods unscathed. While armies and refugees moved through the mountain passes in great numbers, no large scale action took place in the area. Recently, however, it has become a hotbed of activity as the Night Elves look to expand their territory to gain some “breathing room” for their people. Opposed them are Orcs of the Frostwolf clan who have taken up residence in the mountain peaks,

People & Culture:
Considered the frontier of expansion by both the Orcs and Night Elves, much of the population in Stonetalon are refugees seeking to claim and settle on new lands in the wake of the destruction. Supplies and moral for both sides have dwindled, but prospect of a better life keeps those in the region motivated.

Geography:
To the North the Night Elves have come through the tunnels and passes connecting Stonetalon with Ashenvale and begun laying claim to the land. Years of deforestation the Venture Company are being turned reversed as Night Elves seek to bolster their territory. Elsewhere, due to the changing climate of Azeroth, many of the higher regions of Stonetalon have experienced unprecedented snowfall, making the area attractive to the Frostwolf clan. A number of small Orc villages have appeared as the Orcs, too, look to expand their claims.

Sites & Settlements:
Windshear Crag: Now under the control of the Night Elves, the once heavily mined and logged area is being regrown to expand the forest and revitalize the lands. The Night Elves have few permanent structures in the area as supplies are limited.

Stonetalon Peak: Now covered in snow due to climate change, Stonetalon Peak has also see the arrival and settlement of the area by the once legendary Frostwolf clan.

Adventures:
As both Orcs and Night Elves move into the region and make claims on lands close to each other it is only a matter of time before the Stonetalon Mountains turn into a war zone of resources and expansion, mirroring the forests of Ashenvale to the North.
