  1. [16:34] Lavinia's right hand rose from its idle sag, fingers wiggling ever so slowly as she'd slowly approach it to the barrel's flame. As it got closer, her hand and forearm seemed to grow the scales and claws of a drakanite. The closer it got, the more she'd seem to try to mould the flames as she did with the dark.
  2.
  3. Of course, she'd fail. Despite the fire attribute of her blessing, Lavinia had fully accepted the dark and only had the ability to influence that. The fact that she couldn't subjugate the element to her will already frustrated her.
  4.
  5. "Hmmm . . . So hard to focus on it, it always moves, it has no form. Like the dark, but without . . ."
  6.
  7. She fixated the flamed as she allowed it to touch her scales. Evidently, it'd burn, but the enhancement prevented it from being more than a minor discomfort. By then, she'd have a full flame over her palm, melding with the blessing's scales, as if the scales had been made of flames in the first place.
  8.
  9. Now, she'd look into that flame. Her will to take it as her own, to force the dark into it while keeping its fiery form. Lavinia wanted to turn the flame into something of the occult without altering its shape. If she could do that with raw flames, she could attempt it on a far more complex form such as her scales and wings.
  10.
  11. All that would happen, however, would be a miasma of black consume the bit of flame that danced over her hand, leaving only a far less impressive and oppressing occultic flame in its wake.
  12.
  13. "Mmm, I didn't do it right, huh?"
  14.
  15. She got a bit pouty.
  16. (Lavinia Walters)
  17. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  18.
  19. [16:37] "The darkness and the flames share one thing in common, that it's form can be manipulated by the user. To you, it is uncontrolled, incapable of showing form. But for me...?"
  20.
  21. The big eye started to get wider as the purple pupil expanded further. The flames reacting to it in unison as the flames took the same shape as Lavinia when they were in their drakanite form. The mouth, eyes, ears and nose sharing it them entirely.
  22.
  23. Shared so closely, that when the fire opened its mouth, it released more flames that made the fire more concentrated to that of a flame thrower.
  24.
  25. "It is a master piece. Something that only those who make the effort understand. It is the effort that comes from it that makes everything unique. It is a beautiful flame. And when it comes to beauty, the only thing you have to do is claim it."
  26.
  27. The eye then moved over towards Lavinia, as a low mechanical crackle escaped.
  28.
  29. "Manipulate that darkness into art, and make this flame yours."
  30. (Sajid)
  31. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  32.
  33. [16:49] The hand that had been holding the flame would rise to Lavinia's mouth as she stared in utter disbelief. It was her form imitated by mere, intangible flames. To mould something so untouchable with such ease was fascinating to Lavinia. Green eyes just remained wide, her body paralyzed.
  34.
  35. "Wh-whoa . . ."
  36.
  37. She even flinched when the shape spewed fire out of itself. This was insane! A sort of elemental so powerful, it could release its own concentrated blasts. This was leagues above even what the teen was trying to achieve.
  38.
  39. To make something into art, it felt so similar to her teacher's discourse. That the dark could be moulded into anything, with imagination being the limit. Taking in a deep breath, she needed a moment to get over this surprise and compose herself.
  40.
  41. "Okay, okay . . . I can bend the dark. M'hm. Bend it, and have it take hold of the flame."
  42.
  43. A few repetitions of similar phrases followed suit. This time, anorange flame of pure occult formed on her palm. Such a small piece, she could manipulate to take shape, but only at this size. With some effort, which was mostly her fixating the dark flame, she'd manage to have it twist into a sort of vortex and adopt the shape of a thorny rose.
  44.
  45. Said rose would be graciously offered to her current teacher! But, it'd eventually fall apart a few minutes later. It was a mere, static construct after all.
  46.
  47. "I need to have it bigger . . . And more controlled."
  48.
  49. This time, a large sphere of black miasma formed over her palm and inflated to the point of being as large as a human. It levitated over her hand, motionless.
  50.
  51. ". . . I dunno if I can do it. I dunno if I can bend it, let alone make this fire mine through it, ugh."
  52. (Lavinia Walters)
