PERSONALITY. |
haewon doesn't like being praised because it makes her feel extremely awkward and embarrassed. therefore, she pretends not to care about homework, exams or anything school related. deep down though, she knows she's very smart and, even though she never tries hard, she always manages to do well on tests.
unfortunately, she lets others influence her and affect her, even if they are known to be the 'wrong people'. in school, she tries her best to keep a low profile and doesn't enjoy people paying attention to the things she does. once the school's gates open though, she runs around causing trouble and hanging out with people you wouldn't expect to see her with. she tends to have a bit of a rebellious side to her that that only certain people are able to unlock.
she is quite open minded and she especially doesn't tolerate people who treat women badly or abuse them in any way. she won't hesitate to speak her mind when she thinks someone is not being treated well and will stand up for the ones who can't stand up for themselves or are too shy to do so. also, she has a great sense of humor and she is pretty carefree and funny once you get to know her and get closer to her.
on the other hand, she also tends to be suspicious of people's true motives, a trait that was created after spending too much time with the so called 'bad crowd' i previously mentioned. this can make it hard for her to make proper friends without doubting them at times.
last but not least, another very important trait of hers is her need for everything to be perfect. if she's planning something, whether it's for a friend or for herself or for anyone, she wants it to be the way she imagined it in the first place. this can be good at times but it can also end up being quite annoying.

BACKGROUND. |
her mother is a nurse and she gave birth to her when she was only 22 years old. her father didn't want anything to do with her raising and he soon moved on to another woman with whom he had two sons and created the 'perfect' family. haewon never cared about that though.
her mother always treated her with care and love and she also spent much time with her grandparents, from her mom's side of course. when she was still very young, her grandfather would take her to the park every afternoon and she would play with the other kids until her feet ached from running and had to be carried home.
she also spends a lot of quality time with her aunt, to this day. her aunt is very open minded and progressive and they talk about different issues for hours.
when she was 15 she met her first ever boyfriend, hyunwoo, who introduced her to another world, so much more different than the one she had grown up in. hyunwoo and his friends were real troublemakers and, the more she was hanging out with them, the more she learned to love this about them and she would follow them without thinking the consequences of their actions. one night, after almost getting caught by the police for the vandalism of a shop, her mother announced to her that she had been gathering money to send her to a prestigious private school, golden grove, hoping to fix her unacceptable behavior.
a few weeks later her boyfriend also broke up with her since he had to move away and he didn't want their relationship to be a long distance one.
haewon joined golden grove as a student but that didn't change her behavior much. whenever she was able to she would sneak out and meet up with her old friends. somehow, she also has managed to do well with tests without studying, making her mother proud.

her mother wanted to change her daughter's attitude and she started gathering money to send her to golden grove. the fees because easier to pay since haewon won a scholarship for her excellent grades in all lessons.

REACTION TO TRANSFER. |
at the beginning, she didn't want to go because she thought that she would be locked away from the rest of the world and away from her friends. but, eventually, she grew to like the idea of going to a expensive and well known private school. it made her feel like a rich person or a royalty.

RELATIONSHIP WITH GIRLS. |
` power up ( bring the carefree person she is, or pretending to be that person, she doesn't really do well with power up, who is the teacher's pet. they might have a conversation or two but they don't consider themselves friends. this might change though )
` red flavor ( her relationship with red flavor is probably the ideal friendship for haewon. in the beginning, haewon thought that red flavor was going to be a total snob who would ignore her even if she went and talked to her. but she gathered up her courage and she realized that the other girl was totally different from how she had originally pictured her )
` happiness ( haewon is all about the positivity and the good energy that happiness brings with her. also, haewon is always there to stand up for happiness and protect her from her own naive and innocent self )

he is the school's biggest player and everybody sees him as a total asshole and nothing more than that. but there is a reason behind his behavior and this reason is that he's had his heart broken before and decided to never commit to a relationship ever again. when he's around the other golden boys though his personality changes, in a good way. he can open up to them and, in fact, they are the only ones who know about the girl who dumped him and shattered his heart. he is also very caring with his two younger sisters, who are also studying in golden grove, and loves animals more than anything in this world. he is very playful as well and that's why he likes to tease others and dislikes people who are over sensitive. unfortunately , he has serious trust issues and it makes a lot of patience for someone to be able to see him for who he truly is.

BACKGROUND. |
like the majority of the golden boys, he comes from a pretty wealthy family with many connections in the business world. his father owns a big company and his mother is a surgeon, she works all the time. his parents divorced when he was two years old and his father immediately remarried to a woman much younger than him. they had two girls and, despite the fact that they have different mothers, he loves them with all his heart and always protects them, even at school. at the age of sixteen, he met a girl who made his heart beat faster than ever before. she was real trouble and she came from a rather poor background but he didn't care because he liked the way he felt whenever he was with her. after spending a year as a couple she decided that he wasn't good enough for her, even though he was constantly trying to keep her happy and satisfied. this broke him in all the ways possible and he started fearing commitment to a serious relationship, thinking that this would happen again. on top of that, his father kept pressuring him to have good grades and he started expressing his emotions by playing around with girls and breaking their hearts afterwards. deep down he knew it wasn't a good thing but he still did it, hoping that soon he would get over his former girlfriend and this feeling of heartbreak.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS. |
` when haewon first saw him, she was definitely not impressed at all. to her, she was another rich player who was too spoilt and wouldn't take no for an answer.
even before talking to him, she had disliked him.
` he was probably annoyed by her. she was one of the few girls in golden grove who didn't want anything to do with her and it got on his nerves. in the beginning, he only wanted to tease her and joke around with her.

STORY PROGRESSION. |
` start ; their first interaction was definitely not a good one and they both ended up disliking each other from the very beginning of their story. being an activist for women's rights and empowerment, haewon hated that he used girls like that and then left them crying and heartbroken. in fact, it reminded her of her own heartbreak with her former boyfriend. he also didn't like her because, judging from the things he had heard about her 'hanging out with the wrong people', he compared her to his ex girlfriend. he thought she was a thug and a lowlife since she had been transferred to golden grove from a normal, public school.
` middle ; she still thought he was a jerk and, under no circumstances did she think she was obligated to 'fix' him. but she realized that he enjoyed it when he teased her and joked around. slowly, she grew to enjoy his company. he, on the other hand, was the first one to develop romantic feelings towards her since she was a new experience for him. he was always used to get the girls he wanted and the fact that she kept denying him made him want her more. (cliché, i know) he didn't confess to her though. he was too embarrassed.
` ending ; he finally gathered up the courage and expressed his feelings to her. at first, she was shocked and tried to push him away but, after a while of them pretending to ignore each other, she realized that her feelings for him were also romantic. but since she wanted to focus on her studies and was still heartbroken by her last love experience, they both agreed to date but take it slow.
