FX: Silandra’s lightsaber ignites. When Mytion speaks, it’s as we’ve heard the Brothers of the Ninth Door speak before when using their abilities—multilayered, as if three people are speaking at once.

MYTION:

(WITH DISDAIN)

Hello, Jedi.

SILANDRA:

You.

You’re the ones who started all of this.

MYTION:

Yes. And now it’s time we finished it.

FX: The whoosh of a sparking electrostaff striking a lightsaber.

Star Wars The High Republic The Battle of Jedha Scene 70

ATMOS: There’s a terrible hush come over the proceedings inside the Dome of Deliverance. We can still hear the faint sounds of the battle outside, but they’re nothing compared with the sounds of the three-on-one electrostaff/lightsaber battle going on inside.

FX: The crackle of the electrostaffs and the lightsaber battering against one another, fast and furious. Silandra is using her shield on her arm, too, to help fend off some of the blows.

SILANDRA:

(GRUNTS WITH EFFORT)

FX: Mytion’s voice is layered and sinister as previously.

MYTION:

You fight well, Jedi. I was led to believe you’d be far easier to dispatch.

FX: More furious parrying. But then Silandra goes on the attack. The lightsaber sings. She knocks Baarla back with a bash from her shield…

BAARLA:

(UNGH)

FX: And then spins, her lightsaber whirling as it slices across Inoke’s chest…

INOKE:

(DEATH CRY)

BAARLA:

Inoke!

FX: And then Silandra cries out with effort—not anger—as she flips sideways…

SILANDRA:

(RAARGH)

FX: And brings her lightsaber down in a fierce chopping motion, severing both of Baarla’s forearms. His electrostaff hits the ground—both hands still attached. When Baarla screams, he also has a strange, layered voice.

BAARLA:

(SCREAMS IN PAIN)

My arms!

FX: Baarla staggers back. Silandra uses the moment to break away, making a dash for the lower level, beneath the dome.

BAARLA:

(WHIMPERS)

Mytion…

MYTION:

(WEARY)

Know that you have failed, Brother. There can be no redemption.

FX: Mytion strikes Baarla hard with his electrostaff. There’s a crunch. Baarla gurgles and falls to the floor, dead. Civilians in the Dome of Deliverance scream in horror.
