Uri - Vs Jin, Training to Face, the Wraith

After a long day of training with Princess Alice... Uri would have his strength acknowledged by Jin Decleri, someone whom he agreed to help in their mission to defeat the Wraith that's been on the bounty list for almost a year now. After having to heal Nero and speak to both Jin and Miura, young Uri knew that they would have to do more than simply become strong, but also hone their abilities to create a decent strategy against a beast that could not be so easily slain. Both Jin and Uri shared their goals with one another, to be free and explore the world, and then, they entered a long session of training, both equally matched, but with Uri becoming the lad to win their fights, just by the skin of his teeth, constantly trying to achieve a higher level of heat from his fire Shroud, into something...Primordial.

[13:01] Jin Decleri says, "You're not bad Uri.."
[13:01] Uri Sanctum says, "We do fight very similar, just different magics."
[13:01] Jin Decleri says, "The Order trained you in to top shape."
[13:01] Uri Sanctum says, "That they did, but so did my family."

[13:08] Jin Decleri says, "I've been falling behind Uri, and I'm tired of it.."
[13:08] Uri Sanctum says, "I see."
[13:08] Uri Sanctum says, "You will catch up. Trust me."
[13:09] Uri Sanctum says, "Went into your own beam there."
[13:09] Jin Decleri says, "Yeah, I noticed.."
[13:09] Uri Sanctum asks, "When the time comes. You'll advance your energy aura, no?"

[13:10] Jin Decleri says, "Eventually.. Task wont teach me anything else until I've masterd deflecting palm.."
[13:10] Uri Sanctum says, "But the fact that you can bring me down to so much of my endurance is a sign of progress."
[13:10] Uri Sanctum asks, "Really now?"
[13:10] Uri Sanctum says, "All the more reason, to train for two whole years."
[13:11] Uri Sanctum says, "Till we both get what we train for."
[13:13] Taking a small break he would let his aura die down as he sat on the dojo floor across from Uri. "Let's take a small break.." He'd say with a stretch of his arms. Letting the red light of the upstairs room wash over him his gaze would fall on Uri.

Two boys who had much in common with each other.. Yet had never really spoken outside of getting medical treatment. "What do you want to do with your life Uri?" He'd ask in a philosophical way.

[13:16] The flames around Uri would begin to fade away into little embers and from embers into nothing but hot air. So he turned to Jin as he would answer his questions. "What I want to do?... Well, I plan to set sail one of these days, to find the legends of the Phoenix... After I advance my own abilities, and complete my sister Faira's wish..." He had his eyes set on a single goal for now.

"But, ultimately, it's to achieve nobility for my family... We've been denied it for sixty straight years, after fighting all of the wars." He would dust himself off, Jin was a great fighter. All he needed was to perfect the skills he hoped to achieve in the days of their future.

"And what about you? Surely, just fighting isn't your end game? There's a passion behind it, isn't there?"

[13:27] Crossing his arms and closing his eyes he began to imagine his future... Him standing atop a rock formation and watching the world from the highest peak as the sun rises..

"I want to see the world and hunt down adventure.. I want to live an exciting and fun life." He'd state in an almost childish manner.. Someone his age still hanging onto the dreams he had as a child.. It seemed most of his friends had given up on their dreams.

"MY dream is to live freely and explore, eventually find out whats truly hidden in this world.. Did you know theres so much of our world completely unexplored or even touched?" He'd state excitedly as he stood to his feet smiling wide.

"I'm not looking for fame, or any titles.. I want to live for myself." His voice began to calm as he realized he had been rambling again getting caught up in talking about what he was passionate about.

"But, I have to get stronger first. It's a dangerous road, wouldn't you say?" He'd say looking up to Uri with a confident grin despite all his losses.

[13:33] Uri could sit with this. Jin had the right sort of head on his shoulders for a steep adventurous life such as this. "I can agree with this... The world as we know it, is so vast, that no one, absolutely no one has been known to travel all of it."

The young teen had much on his list of things to do. Mainly to ascend to nobility, but, by doing so, he would have to take on many task. "One thing I cannot do, is be tied down, which is why I left the Order, so explore freely and obtain the wisdoms of the world... I can say that we'll do good, working together. I'd Say," he smiles at Jin.

"What do y' say? Want to set sail? Two and a half years from now, when we're capable of taking more punches and, able to seek out the knowledge this world has to offer?"

To live freely. They were not pirates but, they were people who were just looking to enjoy the world and their life as they saw fit. Uri could alwayssmile upon people like this.

[13:41] Jin would let his energy leak around his body as he prepared to continue training with Uri.. They had a lot of time to prepare so they should make the most of it.

"I'd love to go with you Uri.. but nobodies my boss." He'd say with a grin. "Once we're strong enough.. We'll reform the guild and then we'll explore what the world has to offer."

His aura would spike as it grew much larger than before as Jin's knuckles cracked. "But first, we've gotta take revenge for Nero."

[13:44] The road ahead would definitely be a bumpy one, so. Why not enjoy the struggle with people you could fight with while maintaining a clear state of mind. "Of course, you wouldn't be free, if you had to report to someone now wouldn't you?" He then would lower himself.

He got into a stance if they would be sparring again, "Only person I'd let tie me down is a beautiful woman worth fighting for, though, love won't be a thing I'd persue till I'm something much more than I am now.."

He thinks about little Nero, "We'll make the Wraith suffer, dearly." The young strategist had a plan, hopefully, it would work smoothly.

[13:54] Jin Decleri says, "I'm glad I picked you."

[13:56] Uri Sanctum says, "It's all that training my sister had is do every day."
[13:58] The flames around Uri would increase as their training got more and more intense. "I'm seeing progress Jin, this wraith won't stand a chance against us if we fight the way we are now." The young Sanctum would get back into a fighting stance. This time, trying to apply more heat to his being, trying to pour his cosmic energies into the aura of his.

"it's not quite there yet, but, one of these days, it'll ascend, to burn like the sun, a supernova as my sister desired." He spoke in regards to his twin Faira..

"Alright, another round? Or did you have something else in mind?" Uri asked just to make sure. His star, the planet of Anos would bless him with the defensive capability for some time, but, how long would it last? And would such durability actually pay off in the long run was the question he had in mind.

[14:18] Jin hop to his feet from laying on his back, letting his aura flair he'd begin to let his aura creep up his right arm.. Thirty percent of his aura was present within his hand as it was his limit without breaking his concentration.. The firey aura within his palm began to harden and flatten almost like a shield over his palm.

"Thirty percent.. Deflecting palm!" He'd shout as he decided it was good enough a time or any to practice it.. He had managed to deflect the sword of the Wraith.. But not deflect that damage back to him! He wasn't outputting enough of his aura.. He would stand before Uri as he held his arm out to his side ready to defend.

"An enemy who I can't be aggressive against.. I'll have to learn to use this technique to stand any real chance!" He'd say with visible sweating from his forehead, his veins in his arms visible as he struggled to contain the energy within his hand.

[14:24] Defensive... The first word that came to Uri's mind as this great potential defense can serve as a great offence as well. The Deflecting palm, against the flames. A traditional fire that were being nurtured to dive deep into the ancient heat of the primordial. "I see you are training yourself towards an ability as well?... Was it something passed down through your family as mines were?" he asked, getting into a fighting stance.

"We're still at war, and we've only just touched the surface of the things we'll go through in the many weeks to come. And a technique like that? It'll prevent many advancements on the enemy side." He spoke from the experience he's gained from the many battles he's had to fight while being a cadet for the Order... Having to face his own mentor in battle, a rough testament to what is expected of the First Light.

"Let's go! Till our abilities are matured!" Astrategist since the age of twelve, Uri prepares himself for another fight. Testing various tactics while trying to pour energy into the flames around him.

[14:35] Keeping the energy concentrated within the hand Jin would grunt with every kick and punch and magical spell thrown his way! Using his palm to deflect these attacks away but.. With Minimal damage returned to Uri. He had to act fast and think of a way to get the boy off of him..

Thinking deeply he would remember the words of Dun Task. "Let your energy flow like a raging river.." He'd mutter as he would leap backwards! Upon landing he'd watch as Uri went to deliver the final blow to end the match, but.. Something stood with him almost as if he were finally understanding what the man meant.

"Task said to take risks.. Endanger myself to push my limits and get stronger!" He'd take his stand as he was ready to injure himself in order to push himself further. Letting his energy release itself into his hand the aura surrounding it would increasingly grow bigger, hiding his hands behind his back his transference of aura increased by the minute, veins popping up and down his arm as he struggled before finally letting go..

"Fifty percent.. It's my Limit!" He'd shout as he condensed the energy into his palm, making it harder than steel with the properties to deflect!

"Deflecting Palm, reversing counter!" He'd shout as his palm made contact with Uri's fist, a sudden light appearing from the hand as it launched him backwards and away from himself towards the center of the dojo.. Uri's knuckles would be bruised from the countering attack.

"I'm not out of this just yet Uri! I'm not going to get left behind you hear me?!" He'd shout in a passionate and firey tone.

[14:42] The flames around the young Sanctum would increase with golden sparks and embers. The infusion of cosmic energy being used to increase the heat around him. Uri would have observed many tactics used by Jin in their fight, he had to see for himself, just what the deflecting palm was. And from the looks of it, Jin probably deflected some of his attacks, sending his flames elsewhere... Just what mystery was there behind the abilities of Jin Decleri.

Uri would tilt his head with focused eyes on the hands of Jin. Then to his feet, shoulders, and this may as well be his entire frame. Uri could not understand the source of this ability or how it worked. He only knew that he'd do one thing and one thing alone. And that was to push Jin, to drive him out of those corners and back into them when nothing else worked. "Faira was a firm believer in that same notion, to put yourself in danger... It's how she so easily became Osrona's strongest cadet... And I want to honor that title with persistence, not to strength alone but the goal she and I shared."

He smiles at Jin, "The more you fight, the more you expose yourself to the cruel world that we were born into. The stronger you'll become."

"Because, it's as my elders once said... Where would we be? If our ancestors gave up their dreams of an ideal world?" Uri was now ready to fight, with flames dancing around him. Still, attempting to control, to tame the very element of fire itself... It was nothing as simple as pouring his energy into the flames. He had to acknowledge that taming it alone would be an entire journey in itself. A journey that would show here within the red atmosphere of the battlegrounds...

Just like that, within the blink of an eye, two magi blitzed towards each other, delivering a rapid exchange of attacks, from slows, blinding spells down to the techniques infused within their fist as Fire met the raw power of Energy. Uri would have to utilize a certain strategy to better dictate the outcome of their fight. Slowing down his opponent not just to build time, but to make gaps for the opportune moment.

"Hng!" The teen would shout as the flames around his being would increase ever so slightly. He was almost there, but he was lacking in both age and experience. Why age? Some would ask this same question. Well, to put it simple, as these two fight right here right now. Their magic is being nurtured by their growth... It takes time, for a magi's spirit to mature, in order to become true individuals, to seek out the hidden wisdoms of the world upon a journey that no one other than themselves can control, through their own pace, through their own struggles and most importantly. Through their own will to proceed forward.

Once, and finally when their fight would have came to a close. The flames around Uri would flicker... He had placed quite the strain onto them. After all, they did fight for a total of twenty rounds, going back to back between each spar for this long and gruesomely exhausting session of training. Something that they both hoped to learn from, to grow from. "Jin, you are a good fighter yourself, and when you master... That ability of yours, I'm sure, you'll be a figure others will strive to defeat... Hehe, some would call it a milestone, to defeat a certain person... But its those milestones that make us stronger, for we have to reach a certain level of strength in order to achieve victory... Right?" He would walk up to Jin, offering a hand to help him up, if he needed it.

15:03] As Jin continued to use his ability to deflect Uri's own attacks back towards him whilst also peddaling back to stay out of harms way until... A quick blast of flames would be thrown towards Jin! Those flames mixed with cosmic energy would smash into his palm.. The shining light of a deflection trying to make itself present as he struggled against it.

Eventually.. The light would shine brightly again as he deflected the attack forwards away from himself and back towards Uri! However.. He'd fall to the ground exhausted from the deflection, causing the attack to be slightly off course, flying into the distance of the dojo and disapatting in the air. Exhausted breaths were given as he eyed the hand reached down to him before he lifted his own to take it.

"I agree with everything you just said Uri.." He'd state in a tired manner as he stood to his feet regaining his breath and letting his aura release as his body returned to normal. "My milestone right now?.. Is that Wraith." He'd say with a confident grin as he believed he was ready to take on the beast now and win.. He had done it, he had made progress towards mastering the Deflecting Palm.

[15:10] The Wraith... A revenant.. The undead walking the realms of Esshar, unable to truly die, but... Uri had something of an idea... Maybe, they couldn't kill it, but perhaps, they could send it away... Rip it apart in order to prevent it from hurting anyone else. "Tell me something... Ya think the Wraith has any injuries that we can use to our advantage?" Uri asked with an eye glancing over towards the clock.

"I'm getting excited, the hour for us to become hunting legends is near... And all we have to do, is defeat a revenant that no one else has managed to kill yet... My worries are that someone else will reach it before we do." Uri shook his head, and wondered about it for a moment. What could they do in order to reach the Wraith first?

The flames around him would cool down, into nothing but hot air for now. This was just to take a breather, from all the sparring of course. So Uri would do just that.

Breathe... For the fire's Fuel is the breath of life.

Calmly, and slowly, he would inhale, to heat up the aura around him. And he would exhale to cool it down, releasing his grasp on the shroud but not losing his discipline with the practice. "Easy does it.." He told himself as the breathing exercise would continue during their conversation about the Wraith and what better ways to prepare for their fight against it.

[15:16] As Jin was on his feet and had a chance to catch his breath he would turn his gaze from the floor to Uri. "Well.. It only appears during a certain time.. So, we'll camp out by the place it hangs around until the time, we'll be ready this time." His hands coming to his hips as he spoke proudly.

"We already know where it is... That was the hardest part." He'd then let his hands slide into his pockets after wiping away the sweat from his forehead. "Yo, Miura. We're heading out." He'd call over to the taller teen.

[15:17] Miura cracked his knuckles, before following in suit behind Jin.

[15:19] For this... The breathing would come to a stop, releasing the flames.. Now, it was time. but were they ready to face the Wraith? And all together no less.. Two with the abilities to utilize explosion and one who could fight very well with both time and energy magic. For Uri it was a good set up, perfect for the plan they would use against this Wraith...

"Metal and Time right? That was the magic this thing possessed? Occult as well?... It'll be a rough fight, but, we should be able to pull through," said the young Sanctum. "Let's do our town a favor and eliminate the threat." He was ready.
