DB - Chronoa and Tainted Rice

[2021-01-27 16:43] [user]The Fallen Son[/user]: Meanwhile, out in the wasteland near Sukatown, and a certain crash site...

Gohan was at it again, conducting more training as he continued his attempt to fully master his Super Saiyan Two state. He thankfully had some downtime from his duties at the Frieza Force outpost, and was taking advantage of it. Part of him wanted to go visit Pan in Sukatown again, but another part of his was hesitant. He knew by now thanks to his resources that there were two other versions of himself now residing in the small village, and he wasnt sure how they would react to him and his history. Therefore he was keeping his distance for the moment, focusing on training instead.

For now he was doing basic exercises while maintaining the SSJ2 state, focusing on holding it for longer periods just like he did with the first form.
[2021-01-27 16:48] [user]Chronoa O Clock[/user]: Gohan wasn't the only one out there! At that crash site, she was investigating the distortion residue and trying to find herself a good enough piece of debris to be an anchor. Chronoa didn't like venturing out like so but had little choice with Galen's update and Akane not being available. She paused, glancing off to a familiar golden light hue.. but the being in that Frieza Force outfit was bewildering. Well.. Perhaps he was from that time on Namek where him and Krillin wore Saiyan armor?… Maybe this one liked that fashion?


[2021-01-27 16:58] *[user]The Fallen Son[/user] had a gut feeling that he was being watched, the boy pausing his training as he glanced around, eventually spotting the Time Kai in the distance. He had never seen a Kai before, therefore his curiosity got the best of him. Therefore he decided to investigate, heading over to greet her. "Hello there, I hope my training isnt disturbing you. You're one of the Supreme Kais right?" He questioned with a light smile, before reverting back to base form. Chronoa would notice that he was certainly a lot older than he was when he was on Namek, not to mention the lack of a bowl cut. Frieza Force armor aside, she would probably notice a bit of a hard edge to his eyes, perhaps even a bit of sadness deep within them despite his smile.


[2021-01-27 17:02] *[user]Chronoa O Clock[/user] smiled to Gohan with a small nod, cheeks reddened. [color=pink]"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to interrupt you. Yes, I am a Kai, and a Supreme Kai at that! I just came to investigate some debris out here. I noticed you training and I'm a bit of a fan of Saiyans. I recognize the armor. But that's more so.. Lord Frieza's style of armor, isn’t it?"[/color] Chronoa clasped her hands in front of her and bounced upon her heels a bit, taking note of the look to Gohan's eyes. He was older too… Much older than she thought from the distance.


[2021-01-27 17:07] *[user]The Fallen Son[/user] chuckled, rubbing the back of his head a little sheepishly. "It is. Im actually in charge of the Frieza Force outpost here on Earth, well at least when Lord Frieza isnt here, otherwise Im second in command." Well that was most likely a big curveball for her. "Im Gohan by the way." He gave her a respectful bow of his head, his tail uncurling from around his waist, swishing freely. Welp, there was another small but noticeable difference about him. He still had his tail! "Its nice to meet you Miss....?" He paused, waiting to see if she would tell him her name.


[2021-01-27 17:11] *[user]Chronoa O Clock[/user] blinked slowly, trying to not let the surprise come across her face. [color=pink]"Really??"[/color] However.. it does anyway! She knows Gohan's role across time and this.. was not it. Thinking of how to smooth over her obvious surprise, she tilted her head. [color=pink]"It's nice to meet you Gohan. It just surprises me. You're so young and Lord Frieza is known for not having exactly a fondness for Saiyans. You can call me Chronoa. I much prefer that to the title anyway!"[/color]


[2021-01-27 17:20] *[user]The Fallen Son[/user] chuckles lightly once more. "Well, my history is a bit of a mess, at least from what Ive been told. Its....complicated." He stated a little vaguely, before her name finally clicked. "Oh! You're the Supreme Kai of Time!" He stated in light shock, clearly he had heard of her and the time patrol obviously, however he didnt think he would ever cross paths with her like this, considering he had never been to Conton yet.


[2021-01-27 17:36] *[user]Chronoa O Clock[/user] couldn't help but release a light laugh and nod. [color=pink]"That I am! Sorry for stringing you along there but if someone doesn't know of me, I'm not exactly supposed to inform them when I'm in their time! That complicates things.. Sounds like you would know a lot about complicated time. I'll admit, I haven't come across a Gohan working for Lord Frieza before. ..I hope he treats you well?"[/color] Of all things, that was her biggest concern, wide dark eyes giving Gohan a more.. proper look over now. [color=pink]"The Gohan around your age that I'm familiar with has a big heart and is learning to temper his anger and utilize it in combat even though learning and studying is more of his thing, but I think that's from how Chi-Chi parents."[/color]


[2021-01-27 17:44] *[user]The Fallen Son[/user] nodded in understanding, considering what her job was of course. "He does, I honestly expected him to kill me when I stumbled across him in space, but he welcomed me with open arms surprisingly after I....fled Earth." Uh oh, red flag. "Id...like to think theres still some good in me, though its hard for me to see it sometimes, especially after the things Ive done." He admitted with a bit of shame, looking down at the ground." Well shit, thats two red flags.


[2021-01-27 17:50] *[user]Chronoa O Clock[/user] frowned and as Gohan looked down, he would find himself suddenly embraced. Unless he pushed her away, Chronoa sought to wrap her arms about him and hug the boy close, a hand ruffling through his hair. [color=pink]"I will tell you right now, just because of your words there and how you feel about it, there's more good in you than you think, okay? I know Lord Frieza can be an evil tyrant just as much as I know he's not entirely bad and in some cases, has had family of his own.. not just his father. I'm glad he treats you well. If you want to talk and tell me about you fleeing Earth, what happened to you, I'd like to listen. But don't doubt yourself. No matter what has happened to you or your upbringing, its your choices and how you deal with events that makes you who you are."[/color]


[2021-01-27 18:10] *[user]The Fallen Son[/user] s eyes widened in surprise as he was hugged, the boy clearly not expecting it. He didnt resist or pull away however, taking comfort in it as his hair was ruffled. He couldnt help but sigh a bit at her words however. "Thats just it though, the choices Ive made, the things Ive done ever since I entered into Lord Friezas service. My soul is stained regardless if some of the things might have been justified or not. I have a lot of innocent blood on my hands...regardless if I have regrets for it now...."

He didnt speak for a few moments, before finally doing so once more. "During my fight with Cell, I literally snapped when I transformed, and became mentally unstable after that. After dad died, I needed the support of my friends and family more than ever. But they betrayed me." His tone darkened a bit, the boy gently pulling away from her, choosing to sit next to her for the time being, drawing his arms around his knees as he stared forward. "They called me a monster, were scared of me because of my new power, and they blamed me for dad dying, because I didnt finish Cell off right away, choosing to torture him instead. My own mother cast me out, and I had nowhere to go. Noone would take me in, not even Piccolo. Eventually I couldnt take it, so I stole a spaceship from Bulma and fled Earth."

"My ship passed through a rift of some sort while I was heading to Namek, thats how I ended up coming across Lord Frieza. He offered me a place with him in the Frieza Force and I accepted, because I was hurt and angry about what happened. I spent two years training and working for him after that, growing to like it in the force. I...purged several planets....including my own in the end." He finally admitted, fully expecting her to be disgusted with him now.

"...Even though I relished it at the time, and felt it was justified, a small part of me still felt bad. Looking back on it now Im grateful I left Dende alive, frozen in a Frieza Force cryo pod. It had a timed release on it, so eventually he will be let out, and can reverse everything Ive done. It wasnt until I came here and met Pan and some of the others that Ive truly felt any real remorse though...."


[2021-01-27 18:29] [user]Chronoa O Clock[/user]: [color=pink]"The fact that you have regrets means you're not terrible. Terrible people don't regret the bad that they've done. It's never too late to change."[/color] Chronoa squeezed him, holding Gohan for a few moments before releasing him with Gohan pulling away.

[color=pink]"Huh?… That sounds really out of character for them. I can understand you snapping though. You had a lot on your plate.. Expectations were high and you were subjected to seeing and experiencing so much brutality. Being forced to fight for your life and the lives of others is never a good thing."[/color] She watched him, listening closely as she sat besides Gohan.

[color=pink]"You were angry and hurt. You're just a boy, Gohan. And by that I mean, you can't be held fully accountable for yourself. The responsibility rests largely on those who are around you, raising you and giving you the tools to cope. Yes, you've done some bad things… but like with Dende, you didn't want that bad to last forever it sounds like and so.. it sounds like it more more of a release for you, less of something horrifically malicious and an intended finality. Maybe coming here and meeting others has given you a chance to open up and start not just expressing yourself, but sharing and finding an understanding instead of thinking you're a monster so you tried to become one. Right now it sounds like it's all coming together so you're more able to face it and rationalize things, and understand yourself."[/color]


[2021-01-27 18:42] *[user]The Fallen Son[/user] nodded lightly when she mentioned how out of character his friends and family seemed to be. "So Ive been told, apparently I was supposed to grow up happy, and have a family as well, But for some reason my timeline got the short end of the stick. I guess its to be expected when theres nearly infinite different scenarios out there that can play out." He stated a bit wryly. He then listened to her as she continued to speak, sighing lightly again. "It...was a bit of both. At the time I took pleasure in it. They called me a monster and shunned me, so I came back and proved them right, and told them it was their doing before I eliminated them all. I didnt truly question it until coming here though, being around family that actually cared and loved me, despite telling them what Id done did help. Grandma Gine has been a big help. Her love helped me get rid of the voice in my head, well that and unlocking level three." He chuckled lightly. That might be a potential tidbit of information for the time kai that something was even more of a miss with him, being able to shake off a contributing factor of his mental health by transforming into a new stage? Hmmm.

"Either way, I am trying to do better at least, while also doing my best to keep my Sire in check so to speak. Part of me wants to leave the Force, but part of me wants to stay as well. Lord Frieza did take me in and gave me a good life after everything that happened, and he truly trusts me and values my service. If I were to leave that could potentially cause a lot of problems, for myself and my loved ones here. So Im staying, trying to do some good while utilizing their resources. Its hard walking that line, but some sacrifices need to be made I guess." He flashed her a small smile at least.


[2021-01-27 18:53] *[user]Chronoa O Clock[/user] felt a pang of guilt. It was her job to try and make sure that such timelines were ended to avoid suffering and bad ends.. but.. then that means she would never know him too, wouldn't it? It was a double-edged blade that could make the goddess of time seem heartless. But things of this time were different, a safehaven for those who made it and a chance for redemption at times.. [color=pink]"Well this is where matters of loyalty come into play. I can't tell you what to do Gohan, but any choice you make should be one Lord Frieza supports if he cares about you. And leaving the Force shouldn't have to mean leaving him and his side if this is more than a job to you. Of course, what you're doing is admirable too. Walking that line of being loyal and supportive while trying to mitigate the damage and do what you can for others isn't a small feat!"[/color]


[2021-01-27 19:03] [user]The Fallen Son[/user]: "Its a question of loyalty for sure, well part of it. He did right by me, and has treated me with actual kindness. I cant just turn my back on that. I...dont want to turn my back on that. Hes...different than the Frieza I knew." He admitted, perhaps there was some sort of Stockholm Syndrome going on with him, who knew really. "And thats exactly why Im walking that line. If by staying in the force, I can help solve problems or accomplish goals without resorting to violence, then Ill stay and do my best to keep him in check so to speak. He values me and my opinion, and my creativity. I can take advantage of that and put my position to good use. Ive already done so in a few instances, helping protect Kayel and Shrooms cocoon while it was in the forest for one thing. Though I might be forced to do questionable things now and then, I think I can do more good than harm if I stay."


[2021-01-27 19:11] *[user]Chronoa O Clock[/user] could relate as he expressed this, the time kai nodding along. She understood on a similar level, where she forgave all that Demigra had done.. [color=pink]Wait.. What?!"[/color] Chronoa shook her head, double back tracking before giving Gohan a bright smile and tugging him in for another hug. [color=pink]"Then thank you.. Because you must be the Gohan that Galen told me about. Kayel is.. someone who's very precious to me. And Shroom is.. I suppose also pretty important to me too! So again, thank you.."[/color]

She released him and eased back, hands settling to her knees. [color=pink]"Not only do people change over time, but they're different from across times due to their experiences. Their genetics may not change, but the personality and projection does. That's how after all this time, I was able to have Demigra back as a partner... and more. If your Frieza knows of me… Please, send him my way? I would like to thank him personally and extend an invite and tour of Conton City to you both."[/color]
[2021-01-27 19:21] *[user]The Fallen Son[/user] returned the hug, perking up. "You're welcome, it was my pleasure really. I wanted to help. I could see that those two were important to a lot of folks. I could see that she was special, even though I only got a look at her through the barrier. It would be nice to meet her at some point." He then couldnt help but chuckle lightly at her mention of genetics. "Heh, tell that to the green me, since apparently theres a Legendary Super Saiyan version of me living in Sukatown now, along with a girl me." He snickered lightly, before nodding at the invitation. "I think hes met you before, though Ill ask to be sure. I know he was in the Nexus for a time, but yes Ill gladly tell him."


[2021-01-27 19:47] *[user]Chronoa O Clock[/user] pondered for a moment and while Demigra tended to have the final say… [color=pink]"She is special.. She actually lives with Demigra and me. You're welcome to come visit!"[/color] A small white hued crystal is procured and offered to Gohan. [color=pink]"This will take you to Conton City or the Time Nest. You just need to think of the names. Both areas exist beyond time in a time of their own and are connected. Conton Cty is where I house my patrollers, their mentors and any other timelost people whereas the Time Nest is my home and where I do most of my own work."[/color]

She still had no idea what Sukatown was, but Gohan's words had her nod.. [color=pink]"Green you.. Yes, I'm looking into that.. er him.. er.. you know what I mean. That's why I was here actually, looking to do a time-trace. There's a timeline out there where things went seriously wrong for this sort of Legendary to happen because the genes never crossed Goku's line..  as for Frieza, if that's so, then yes! I have met him! Wonderful. I would still like to run into him again, find out how he's doing. So if he would ever like a break where I can pause time, take him away for a bit, then place him back in that moment since he's a busy Emperor, I'd gladly give him that mini-me-cation!"[/color]


[2021-01-27 19:53] *[user]The Fallen Son[/user] happily accepts the offered crystal, pocketing it in his armor with a smile. "You might want to look at mine too then, since its clearly a huge mess." He stated with a chuckle, not actually expecting her to do it or anything, though he felt compelled to make the suggestion. "Ill probably meet the other Gohans soon, once I feel like visiting again. But yes, Ill make sure the message gets to Lord Frieza, I think he would like a mini-me-cation." He chuckled once more. "Ill take my leave then, so that you can get back to your research. It...was really nice meeting you Chronoa. I look forward to seeing you again later on, and Conton City." He proceeded to bow his head respectfully, before offering a wave and departing soon after, intent on delivering that message.


[2021-01-27 19:59] *[user]Chronoa O Clock[/user] stood up with a soft smile as she took flight a few feet from the ground. [color=pink]"It was nice to meet you too and I'll happily go through your time with you or on my own since I have your permission."[/color] Normally she didn’t outright meddle but something just seemed off and fishy about this and Gohan's family acting so out of character. If she could not only find the trigger of what made Gohan snap but also what events happened to alter his family's views away from their cores, maybe she'd find answers to the questions that nagged her… [color=pink]"Be safe!"[/color] She then took skyward, now a bit more lost in thought.
