"Well guys it took months. But i finally did it! I saved my money for my own dueldisk!" Lincoln exclaimed to the audience,

Royal woods was never muchfor the newest tech, so whenduel disks finally came, they simply flew off the shelves, everyone and their mother got one the instant they could afford it. And linrcoln was no different.

Along with the first few shipments of duel disks, the kaiba corperation also ht a duel academy and a sort of 'micro kaibaland' dueling arcade.

But none of that was impoertyant right now. He had to test this baby out! He got the deck of other people's spare.common cards and went to find clyde.

And of course clyde was doing just the same, "Clyde! I just got this thing out of the package, we have to try it out!" Clyde, just as excited  nodded.

"Yeah of course! Let's go!" The charming bestfriend archetype strapped the disk to his arm  the two looked away and took a good ten paces from one another, as lincoln followed clyde's example. The two durened and activated the disks. Sending out two miniscule machines attatched to the disks by cords.

"Duel!" The two shouted in unison, the disks had each been set to 4000 life points by the factory settings,and the boys simply rolled with it.

"If i can have the honors Lincoln i'll go first. I summon elemental hero burstinitrix in attack mode and end my turn." He slapped the card on the disk, the superhero coming to life from the holograph projectors.

Lincoln nodded and drew a card.
"Okay clyde, get ready! I summon marauding captain in attack mode! Thanks to his special ability, i can summon one level four or lower warrior from my hand. I choose warrior daigrepher!" The two monsters had been summoned to lincolns side of the field, looking determined, this caught the attention of lucy, who was hanging out under the crawlspace. She watched with mild interest. Clyde meanwhile was panicking at being outnumbered and outpowered."don't think i'm done yet buddy, i activate the spell double summon, so i can sacrifice the two to summon something even better!" The two shattered into bright dust as he slid the cards into his grave. Go sword hunter!" And from a giant holographic card, came a man  dressed head to toe in blades. From his helmate , to his leg guards. "Now sword hunter attack his burstinitrix!" The sword hunter bicected the blazing heroine.

Clyde:2750

"Oh geez, good move lincoln." Clyde said with a mix of worry and admiration for how quickly lincoln got out a level seven tribute monster.

"Oh if you like that, then you're gonna love this! See when sword hunter destroys one of your monsters it becomes an equip spell and increases his attack by two hundred." One of sword hunters blades glowed, changing intyo a firey sword with a red mask tied to the hilt. "Anyway, your move clyde!"

Clyde took a breath, he had pleanty of card to choose from , he drew a card from his deck.it was just what he needed, a polymerization. "Okay lincoln get ready! I activate the spell polymerization to fuse two monsters in my hand. Into something new! I'll fuse my elemental hero wingman, and elemental hero wildheart to summon elemental hero wild wingman!" The grizzled hero was brought forth to the field wings sheltering him due to being played in deffensive position."now, by discarding one card i can destroy a spell on your side of the field. " he sent a card from his hand to his grave and the brutish superhero shot a feather at the blade that held the mask of his fallen comrade. Lowering sword hunters attack to 2450. "Aw shoot, i forgot how strong sword hunter was."

Lincoln laughed "wow really? Anyway is that all clyde?" He was obviously trying not to sound like a jerk.

"Yeah, your move lincoln."

Lincoln drew and hummed. "Okay, i'll win this turn!" Lincoln exclaimed getting lucy to pay much closer attention , setting her chin on her hands."i use the spell card , snatchsteal! It allows me to take one of your monsters in exchange for giving you onethousand lifepoints durring each of your standby phases, but you won't be getting another one!" The hero flew to lincokn's side of the field "i'll swap wild wingman to attack mode, and have the two of them attack you directly!" The swordsman and tribal themed hero both attacked clyde with utmost ferocity, bringing his lifepoints to zero.

"Wow! Good ghame lincoln!" Clyde deactivated his duel disk, running over to his best friend to congradulate him.  Lincoln followed suit.

"Same to you clyde, but you should really work on not forgetting important things, like. I dunno... Base attack?" Lincoln said with a slightly critical tone.

Clyde only laughed in return "Haha, yeah. Well you have been playing the game longer than me.anyway , i gotta go my dads wanted me to go with them to pick up some groceries."

Lincoln waved "okwy, bye man."And with that, the two parted.
