  281. The fact that we need Aaron's Law at all just shows the true ill state of the justice system. Americas brightest minds are heavily praised by their peers for their work online to try to make progress in a world that cannot move past outdated and biased politics. The measures prosecutors have taken to instill a sense of fear in those that push the limits of online legality is outrageous.

  283. The methods, judgements and behaviors carried out by the judicial branch of government, reveal the American Justice System as a tyrannical, unfair and maliciously vengeful system. Aaron was undoubtedly one of the brightest minds this country has ever seen and the only sufficient amends to the intimidation that led to his untimely death is to ensure that those who experienced the same treatment by the justice system be exonerated. There needs to be a safeguard for those who seek to test the boundaries of legality by making sure that the boundary is very clear and just. Reminding everyone that Justice itself means the quality of being fair and reasonable.

  285. Sentencing should be relative to direct damage caused by the pushing of those limits. As technology continues to grow, hacking and methods of circumventing the conventional intentions of security systems is imminent. There is no way to combat this except for to understand that this is the nature of technological advancement and in a very real sense is "online survival of the fittest".

  287. The respect for laws in this country is degrading because it is close to impossible to believe that you will be treated fairly in the event of misconduct. More men and women serve huge portions of their lives behind bars because of a system rigged in favor of the politically aligned and wealthy. "Plea Bargaining" in and of itself forces people to lie in court to crimes they may or may have not committed. The suffering of Americas greatest minds must cease.

  289. How can we expect to be a progressive nation when our own system eagerly victimizes it's own people. The Department of Justice must come to terms that if it had held to the oath of upholding the constitution, Aaron Swartz, would still be here with us, leading us to another plateau of technological advancement. The ones in power forgot long ago what that oath means.

  291. Can anyone doubt that we are human, and learn everything in our lives from the process of "trial and error"? For a fair and reasonable justice system to exist, this principle should be the foundation that law, to determine the punishment of crime, is based. Let the actions of our system reflect the amends that need to be made.
