  46. For Jaina p3 I think our play is to basically have Monk tank/1 healer/(3 DPS[warrior/dh/dk/bigcleave]) soak the first frozen orb, then blood lust prior to her second orb of frost. This should be at about the time she casts her second prismatic image:

  50. That'll set us up well for the big set of blocks on top of the image and then killing her fairly shortly after. The last phase doesn't actually need to be that long.

  70. the heirloom PVP trinket works on blocks
  71. 2m cd, so can be used on every block
  72. and my theory is that hunter/cloak/any other immunity will not work
  73. because i think what clears your 20 stacks is the actual application of the ice block
  74. so during cloak the game is trying to apply ice block and failing, so your 20 stacks are still there

  153. They have lust debuff alreadybefore they pull. I believe that how they have her iceblock on transition by lusting again like 15 seconds before their debuff expires. OR Raid prelusts, then summons/rezzes someone without the debuff and use lust during transition so they get the debuff triggering her ice block. Also should raid lust before she comes out of ice block.

  155. It also looks like the prot paladin is suppose to spellward and interupt the adds on the opposite side of the room to reduce orbs during 60% transition, or it looks like he finds her and confirms the 1/2/3/4/5 position.

  157. Avalanches should be baited into the middle and the ice shards that come out should be absorbed by an immunity for less chances of roots on the raid.

  212. we can probably pick up some dps by doing adds in p1 more efficiently. Syreth noticed Limit isn't MCing them all off the boat.   218. 2: SPs horrify each add as they land, then let them run around for a bit before MCing off
  219. 3: SPs horrify again, no MC; just ignore until phase
  220. I think any ranged instant CC will work, so we have options that aren't just the SP horrify thing
  221. another thing Limit does is their DHs stay in on first Ring and keep DPSing. They use Blur and dip into a melee fire. We might be able to do something similar with all melee using a spare raid CD if we have one
  222. I think we'd have to abandon the initial fire bait on the right to do these and instead keep her where she is and try to bait fire behind where she is on pull, but it could buy us a lot more DPS, so it's probably worth at least trying

  225. I think getting fixated and having to run around like a clown on a couple ppl is about the same damage gain as making sure the sweep is timely, cleave associated, and not having to cast Mc. I think it just creates a cluster fuck with the adds.
  226. Basically destruction and demonology have very little AOE to ST conversion. Moonkin dotting is a damage loss. So it’s just spriest making it definitely not worth

  270. If the adds get blown up by incidental cleave it isn’t an issue. The issue lies with them running around fixated on people forcing them to move and miss casts / have delayed uptime, but squirrel addressed that with his comment of “they just eat the fixates.” Honestly, 2 priests MCing probably costs less than 5 seconds over all of P1. If we think it’s a significantly better strategy then we can do whatever. I think we’re overthinking this though

  293. MCs and staying in for ice storms are somewhat disjoint topics. Staying in just seems worthwhile, it just increases our tolerance to losing damage in some points.
  294. MCing is kind of expensive in terms of action economy. It still takes targeting, 1.5s cast, and walking to the edge. it's like 6s per priest per add.

  360. Yeah, I think people missed the "stun instead of MC to stop bombs" thing
  361. The stun seems like a more consistent way of preventing the bombs than MCing
  362. MC cast time isn't insignificant
  363. If it were instant and we never got bombs, there wouldn't really a be a discussion but the cast time makes it considerably more inconsistent since we rely on the adds to not just cast bomb right away in the 1.5s cast time
